I had such a wonderful experience with this auto shop. I bought a car and ran into an issue a few weeks later. Thankfully, the warranty covered the repairs (minus the deductible), so my main concern was finding an honest and reliable mechanic - and I absolutely did. From the start, Mahmoud was incredibly communicative, calling me every day with updates (even if the update was there wasn't an update)! That level of consistency really stood out. He took the time to clearly explain what the issue was, what needed to be repaired, and how they planned to fix it, which gave me a lot of confidence. There were a few administrative steps that had to be approved before the car could be repaired, including an inspection to verify the work. Throughout the process, everything was handled professionally and transparently. At one point, an additional repair was recommended. There was absolutely no pressure, just a very fair quote, a clear explanation, and the space for me to decide what I wanted to do. The work itself was impeccable. Communication was clear, the pricing was fair, and the entire experience was smooth and reassuring. On top of that, Mahmoud is just a genuinely kind and trustworthy person. I'm so grateful I found this shop and highly recommend them. read more

This is a great small business for your auto needs. This business has a new owner because the original owner passed away. The new owner is on it and took care of the car with much care. The value of service was great. The service provided was to replace the main seal and adjust the valves and motor mount which is a huge job. The service performed was superb. read more

Burbank Motor Works is excellent. The owner is very polite. I got my brakes done. He offered standard brakes or premium brakes (I chose the premium; nothing is too good for my ride). I appreciated the fact that he was willing to work with me to get the best deal for my financial situation. I highly recommend Burbank Motor Works and will use their services again. read more

We've been coming here since 2017, with multiple cars. We loved Yuval and his crew; and I'm happy to say that under Carlos' leadership the shop is still a-ma-zing! This continues to be one of the most reputable and honest shops we know. Highly recommended by Crystal & Jim! read more

Don't take your car here . I took my Range Rover with water pump issue . I took the original Part for him to install. Supposedly he said he changed it . But still had car issues. Than. I took it back and he changes and hose and some bracket and charged $1500. Few weeks later check engine light comes on . I see coolant all over engine . I took it again and he said he needed To change a hose than called back and said it's the water pump again. Very fishy . I paid over $2000 and nothing got fixed . I took the car to dealer and said water pump was never changed . Don't trust this place . Looks like money hole . read more

Burbank Motor Works did fantastic work on my car upgrading the suspension system. My car works so great now it's like a brand new car. The gents were professional, knowledgeable, the work is well managed and completely professional. They were busy and still had a good turn-around time. No sticker shock - price seemed good for the type and amount of work. So I highly recommend them, and I will be turning to them again. Thank you Burbank Motor Works! read more

Took my car here for years, moved out of the city, took my car to another shop and had some of the same work done besides oil changes and compared prices and realized I was being BEYOND ripped off, I was charged 1,000 at Burbank Motorworks and for the same work at my new shop only ended up paying right under $300! They charge way too much for labor and they are very convincing but don't fall for it. read more

Just got an oil change here and I cannot recommend it enough! Yuval was the best, and even gave my car a wash for free! Amazing service and very friendly! I will most definitely be returning for all of my car needs! read more

If I could give Yuval 0 stars, I would. I can't speak about wether or not his shop does good work, because I have never taken my car here. However, in May of 2022, he listed a car on Craigslist for sale - a 2005 Subaru Limited XT. After weeks of looking at other cars, I finally decided to check out Yuval's Subaru at his shop. Beautiful car, I was sold. I took out a loan from my bank to purchase the car. The day I test drove the car I was told by Yuval that the title and registration were not in his name. This was concerning. Yuval mentioned to me that the car was still under the previous owner's name. Than, Yuval told me that he would handle getting this all in my name for an extra $1k. Sketchy. I told him that I needed the paperwork to be current in order for me to proceed. Silence. Never got back to me. Didn't return my calls or texts. The next day he texts me saying "I lost interest when the deal became sketchy, good luck." Simply put, this dude is just trying to title jump and he's gaslighting me as if it's my fault. 1 star review for wasting so much of my time. If he's this dishonest about a car he is trying to sell... I can't imagine how honest he can be as a mechanic. read more

In from out of town and panicked when noticed weird melting smell coming from my car. They got me in right away and diagnosed quickly. They were honest and kind. I'd recommend this place to others. read more

I remember the days when I had a BMW 2010 E60, Yuval would be so kind and give me a 50$ oil change at the time when regular oil change was 150$, As well as Carlos would help me and check the diagnostics on the car if I had any issues, haven't been there since 2021 since I have a new car with a warranty but the convenience was I always got a text from Yuval regarding the time for an oil change, and for a great price and as well as good mechanics!I'm glad to see this place is still kicking and in service. I highly recommend! read more

My service from Burbank Motor Works has always been very satisfactory. Yuval has always been honest with me about the cost. There are never any hidden fees. He is expensive, but the work has always backed up the price. Thank you, Yuval, for your service. read more

Outstanding service on my car as always! Only thing is I wish Yuval would've called me as soon as the problem was identified on my car and let me know if I'd like the work started on my car, giving me an option. I did voice I had a certain budget I could only spend (luckily they stayed within my limit). But, I had to call multiple times to see if they found out what was wrong. That's the only thing, other then that my car is working well, he did let me know that I'd need to bring my car in again, but I didn't feel forced that I needed to bring it in that next day, so I appreciate not being pressured into having to do service. I'll definitely be back, the only thing is a little communication would be appreciated. Thank you! read more

Very helpful gentleman in the parts department. Researched and found what I needed, and contacted me promptly when it arrived. Perfect service! read more

My wife and I service our vehicles at this shop. We drive a 2014 Mercedes E350 and 2017 Mercedes C300. We are always satisfied with the work done on our vehicles. Scheduling a service is fast and easy. Recommend this shop to anyone with any make or model. read more

Yuval was warm, friendly and inviting as I entered his shop. I had a minor car check and oil change request for my VW Jetta. Gave him the details, contact info, etc, and was on my way. I got a call later confirming the fixes and total amount, and car was done before end of day. Can't ask for anything better, really. Thanks Yuval, I'll bring my other car in next time it needs a fix. Quick tip - his place doesn't really have a place to park inside his shop. Park around the corner or on Magnolia, he'll send his guys out to get the car for service. read more

Your totally off base and refuse to answer my emails. The issue you missed was nothing to do with the false repair claims needed, it was a pulley issue that tore up the tensioner and left the crew stranded. Once a real mechanic looked at it, it was on the road to CO without any issues. Check engine light was never on, where are you getting that from? read more

check engine light came on for my 2008 chevy colorado. took it to yuval. turns out it was some emissions sensor that needed replacing. had them do full service on truck & replace the horn. turns out i needed all new shocks/struts. they did all the work within 24 hrs using factory replacement parts. they say you only get 2 of the 3: good, fast or cheap. they definitely weren't cheap but then again, ya get wjat you pay for. rather spend a little more for great service & reliable work. will use again. i recommend calling in advance to make an appointment. their parking lot fills up fast. entrance is in the rear off the alley. read more

I highly recommend taking your car to Burbank Motor Works. I came to fix my car today and it was such a great experience! Yuval, the owner was extremely nice, found the problem and fixed it quickly and with a smile and the price was fair! I had some bad experiences with other shops in the past and I'm so happy I found this shop. I will definitely come back for everything I need! read more

Made an appointment through repair pal since my car was from Car Max. Yuval was incredibly friendly and personable and was able to fix my mini all in the same day. Price was well below what I had expected and never pushed anything on me. He turned the usual worrying experience into a pleasant appointment. Would highly recommend anyone take their car here no matter what needs to be done! Thank you so much! read more

This is the best mechanic I've ever had. I went to multiple shops with a very complicated transmission problem, Yuval went above and beyond to solve a problem that no one could figure out, and he was a great person to be around during a very stressful time. read more

Yuval is a gem. I've been here a few times and I've always left satisfied. Even when I ended up not needing services here, Yuval has always been honest and straight to the point. You really know he cares about his work. read more

I took in my truck to check brakes. I asked for price and Yuval told it would be 30 minutes to check and see what was needed. I left and price was a lot more than other places so I decided to not do it. When I came back to pick up truck he then said it would be $48 to check. I understand that it takes time but I think I was unfair to charge me without at least letting me know upfront. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this place! Yuval is an amazingly kind, honest and hardworking man who went above and beyond to make my experience at Burbank Motor Works excellent! My Smart Car was serviced so incredibly fast and at a very reasonable price. I'll definitely be back again! read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about Yuval and his quality service. My husband and I relocated to Burbank from Kentucky, 2 weeks ago and needed assistance getting our car off the trailer we had pulled on the 2,000+ mile trek. The car had to be jacked up and the process was more complicated than we could handle on our own. After reading reviews, I called Yuval and he was so welcoming and helpful. He encouraged us to come by when we got Into town. So our first stop was to Burbank Motor Works and Yuval and his team helped us out free of charge! We were blown away by the welcome to Burbank gesture! How incredible is that?! It turns out our car had slipped on the trailer as we were pulling it and the power steering line was severed by the chain. So we immediately brought it back to Yuval and he had it fixed within 24 hours and at a lower cost than he initially estimated! We will never go anywhere else to get our car taken care of! It was a wonderful first impression of Burbank and it's caring community of residents. read more

Yuval did a pre-inspection for a used car I was about to buy and thank goodness he did - he found many issues and concerns for me to be aware of - sending short videos of some of them and an email list of others - he was very honest, even though he had a longstanding relationship with the car dealer who was selling the car I almost purchased. His quote for the service was on the low to average cost of other shops. I'm very glad I went with Burbank Motor Works. read more

I have been to Burbank Motor Works several times and always leave a happy customer. As a woman, I have felt that I was taken advantage of by other automotive businesses, but not here. Recently I took a car that I was interested in purchasing to them for an inspection. They were very honest and very helpful. read more

So I got screwed by my mechanic. The dude said he could fix my engine. Long story short I now drive a 2009 Camry that rattles and shakes like a cheap motel vibrating bed. So I went to Burbank Motor Works to get a second opinion and they checked it for free and told me, in a nice way, that the work wasn't done well. They fixed my car best they could because damage was already done. Great guys. Kinda pricey but it's Burbank so usually pricing is higher than most. I'll be going back though. read more

Hands down the best auto repair place I've ever been to in my life. I love Yuval and would never take a car to anybody else. IMAGINE: AN HONEST MECHANIC. Yes, they do actually exist. read more

This guy is a super nice man, I asked for a quote on hourly and he provided it, no fuss. I knew what I needed done and he didn't try to up sell me. Later in the day while he was working on the car he mentioned I needed to make some replacements, I was already thinking that was a possibility so no surprise. He gave me a decent price. All the work was done well. Highly recommend. One thing I would ask the staff is to watch the floor, when I drove off there was a clip that was embedded in one of my tires. I heard it right away and pulled over to take it off. But I don't really want people to get flat tires after getting work done. read more

I recently bought a used 2012 BMW. I had the oil changed by my local mechanic. He didn't know how to reset that annoying "Service Overdue" message every time I started the car. Also, the Power Windows somehow lost their "Auto Up & Down" function. I'm so happy to have found the previous reviews on Yuval and his shop! I knew he would help me. He fixed both of the above problems at no charge! I now have a new mechanic! read more

What can I say except, Yuval, (like Robert Duval but with a "Y") is great! I was recommended to his shop by my partner for an oil change, new windshield wiper blades and he replaced the air and cabin filter, which the dealership failed todo for 3 years of being a customer. His pricing is extremely fair and I will no longer be taking my vehicle to a dealership for maintenance. Thanks, Yuval! read more

If you need a dependable local auto repair center - give Yuval (owner) a call. He opens early in the morning. I think its at 745am monday-fridays I appreciated his time on the phone and his honesty - plus, his pricing was the most affordable. I drove in the next morning and was greeted by Yuval and his Master Technician. There was free wi-fi and free coffee while I was waiting. read more

Im so impressed with this place! I went here strictly because of great yelp reviews but i was not disappointed. Not only did they give me a cheap rate, but when i got to my car they told me they gave it a deep interior and exterior clean. I never asked for this, and when you're spending a lot on your car that wasn't expected, this is such a nice surprise. This is literally the cleanest my car has ever been..ever. Ill definitely be back! read more

High quality service at a fair price. Yuval doesn't bullsh** you just to try and steal an extra dollar or two from you. Highly recommend.

My car had to much oil put into it and so I took it to a dealership. The dealership wanted to charge me $16,878 and so I towed it here after getting an estimate from the owner. Yuval (the owner) was so nice throughout and when he got my car he re evaluated the damages and found out that the Russell Westbrook Dodge Jeep dealership was totally scamming me. Yuval told me i needed new tires which was true and out the door I paid $3,800 including 4 brand new tires. When i picked up my car they already cleaned it as well. I sincerely recommend this place and if i have any other car troubles i will be going back here for sure. read more

Stay away from this place. The guy has a anger management issues. I tried buying vintage parts from him and he would never have anything ready and kept making me come back. One day I told him I did t have the time to loose and he pushed me into the street and punch me in the chest. Now imagine if he wakes up on the wrong side of the bed what will he do to your car then. read more
