I came here for lunch after attending the San Francisco Marathon race expo over at the nearby Fort Mason. This restaurant was located on Steiner St near Chestnut St. Very easy to find. The store was very nice, clean, and inviting. They're a chain that focused primarily on bánh mì. I ordered their ribeye steak dip. It was their most expensive item for sandwiches. It was a bit pricey and strange to be paying over $20 after employee health surcharge, tax, and tip for food that normally would be quite affordable at a Vietnamese restaurant. However, it was probably the best bánh mì that I had ever eaten! The staff here was very nice and friendly.

I decided to order the chicken pho for lunch, They have a very large menu so you can choose what you would like to eat. The service was very quick and professional. The broth was delicious. You can't go wrong with any item you order. Ambiance is very clean and consistent like their other locations,

I really like chicken banh mi and I enjoyed the one I had here. The prices aren't terrible, and the vibe is very fast casual. The service was good and it hit the spot, but pate is a $1.75 add on which is a little odd because that's usually just a standard part of the sandwich.

Great banh mi! Super flavorful and tender chicken, yummy veggies, and also has a nice mayo sauce. I liked the crunchiness of the bread which didn't (!) hurt the roof of my mouth to eat. Also not too expensive for the Marina area. I also tried the chicken pho and while the soup was delicious, I didn't love the chicken (slightly dry) and the noodles (very al dente). Would come back to try other banh mi options though!

I was craving a really good chicken salad, and this place delivered! The Saigon Chicken Salad is a must-try! the chicken is so tender and juicy, and the dressing is perfectly balanced: tangy, not too sweet or sour. I noticed a lot of people ordering pho, but I'm so glad I went with the salad (they also have healthy Asian bowls). Everything just tasted right. Definitely adding this spot to my go-back list! There's only one person at the check out counter, and he's super friendly and helpful when I asked a ton of questions about the menu. The space is also a nice place to chill with a book while eating a good meal or hang out with friends.

I'm a big fan of bun mee. I've been going to the location on Fillmore Street and figured it would be the same. Yum. We went there today to pick up sandwiches to take to Moscone. It's the first weekend of spring! The sandwiches are so good. They ask if you want jalapeños and of course, we do! I got the tofu bun mee because it's the only vegetarian option. He got the first item on the sandwich menu which was the five spice chicken. The bread is crunchy and fresh. Yum! I love the ratio of carrots and cilantro. I'm taking one star off my delicious experience because they have beer and wine on their menu, but don't have their liquor license apparently to serve. They should just cover up that part of their menu to be transparent. If you do want beer or wine, go to Marina Deli otherwise, get Vietnamese New Orleans style coffee.

I am soooo happy a bun mee opened in the marina. There bun mee sandos are the best I have had in the city and its location near chestnut is ideal for marina bites. I have also tried the noodles but the sand which is far superior imo. Friends staff and wait times for food was short. PLEASE DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND GO HERE!

I was excited to see another Banh Mi spot open up in the Marina. I got a chicken banh mi and crispy egg rolls. I used to go to Asian Box nearby for Banh Mi in the area and this one was a lot better -- it was packed with veggies but still didn't feel like too much, the chicken was tender, and the bread was a good texture. The crispy egg rolls and sauce it came with were rich in flavor as well! My friend got a lemongrass tofu and enjoyed it as well, and mentioned this would become a go to spot for her. The service was good as well and prices were reasonable. This is a good spot for affordable, quick, high quality food!

Bun Mee opened last week in the Marina but I discovered this location yesterday while walking the dog. I stopped by for takeaway lunch & ordered the classic combo sandwich without jalapeño or onions & a golden milk tea boba. The dining room is a decent size for a quick meal if you're planning on dining in & neat & clean. My sandwich was ready in less than 10 minutes. The baguette was nice & crispy & the filling was a generous amount of pate, mortadella & lemongrass pork. The cucumbers & pickled daikon & carrots added brightness & additional flavor. It's a pretty big sandwich so I only ate half. The golden milk boba tea is actually black tea with milk, boba & sugar. It runs on the sweet side. Service is quick, friendly & helpful. Welcome to the Marina neighborhood Bun Mee! I'm glad that I don't have to go to the Tenderloin for a good Vietnamese sandwich & will return to try other menu items soon,

Bun Mee nailed their crispy fried chicken bun! The chicken contained all the crispy and juicy goodness you expect from fried chicken and was elevated with the fluffy bun, slaw and sauce! SOO GOOD! The young man who took our order on 11/2, midday was very welcoming and helpful, proving that good customer service elevates any dining experience. We also had another person (perhaps the manager) come out and check on us which was more than what I would expect from a order at the register restaurant. Restaurant was clean with plenty of indoor seating. Bun Mee definitely won me over today!

I came in on a Saturday at lunch time and I was the only one there. I got a Classic Combo sandwich and some sort of strawberry lemonade type drink that I think they make themselves. They have a good amount of seating (inside only) if you want to eat there. The bread was nice and crispy, but I was underwhelmed by the pork- it was kind of chewy. The mortadella was sliced so thin and there wasn't much so you could hardly taste it. Pate was good but I would have liked more. Pickled veggies were nice and crisp. Drink was good and not too sweet! Staff was very nice.

Top notch service. They had really friendly counter staff people that remembered your name, which was appreciated. Food came out fast, and food was yummy! Good portion size too. Plenty of seating indoors that I enjoyed. I will likely be back

Banh mi in the Marina? Much needed! I ordered the five spice chicken and it was super tender, with good flavor. They give a decent amount of meat. The bread I enjoyed since it wasn't too toasted, a bit softer than a baguette. Overall, ingredients tasted fresh and high quality.

And it kind of looks like a convenience store from the inside. But if you look deeper into the interior, you'll see an ordering counter and a kitchen. That's because the Twisted Café REALLY is a café. It's open every single day from 7AM - 10PM serving breakfast bagel and croissant sandwiches, breakfast toasts, bowls, pastries, smoothies, specialty sandwiches, teas and coffees. There are racks of potato chips and the like, refrigerated cases with soda, juices, beer, energy drinks, and a few grocery items. There are a few tables and chairs inside and a few outside in the courtyard next to the Infinity hotel. We were two of a dozen relatives staying at Infinity, all in town for a wedding. Our group made quite a few trips into the Twisted Café for snacks , drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, etc. The day of the wedding, we didn't want a big lunch, so my wife and I split a Veggie Delight Sandwich ($14) with Hummus, avocado, provolone cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, everything bagel seeds, tomatoes, and arugula on toasted ciabatta bread. It was really loaded up thick with all of those goodies and was an excellent value for the price, quantity and quality. A bag of chips was $1.99 and a Cappuccino was $5. Pretty reasonable pricing as well. The service was excellent, from the cheerful gent at the morning counter to the smiling young lady at the afternoon counter. There is a big screen TV on their exterior wall facing the courtyard, and we saw a group of soccer fans watching the World Cup! That seemed very appropriate given the "community vibes" we felt at the Twisted Café.

They offer a variety of breakfast options, and their Avocado Toast looked inviting, but I stayed with a cup of drip coffee. There was only one person behind the counter, and she welcomed me as soon as I walked in and took my order. The coffee was strong and flavorful, not too watery. I took my time sipping it while looking around the cafe from my seat. If I visit again, I would love to try their Avocado Toast and another hot cup of coffee here.

We got sandwiches and a wrap, both were really tasty. We ended up sharing halves of the wraps with some friends and they were hella impressed as well. Great value and great flavor and enough for two meals. So good that we went back a few weeks later and they added a special southwestern wrap, and somehow this one was even better! I hope they make this a staple on their menu because honestly I think I like the flavor profile better than the traditional cesar wrap. Crust is light. The third slice helps break up the richness of the filling, and by being so thin (but not too thin), it keeps the overall bread:filling ratio in a good spot. It also helps give some friction, lessening the amount of filling that oozes out the back and sides when you take a bite. The filling is creamy, rich, and well seasoned. A pinch of something something to zhuz it up might be a nice option (maybe relish? Japanese curry powder? Furikake?), but as is it's a very solid basic egg sando. Besides the culinary side, at the current $10, it's reasonably priced. Chicken Caesar wrap: The salad tastes notably fresher than most other CCWs I've had and it's not too stem-y. It's close to what you'd get at a nice sit down restaurant, as opposed to some overdressed slop at a buffet table. Mine was a smidge light on the chicken, could've used a few more of the nicely seasoned croutons, and could've been rolled a bit tighter, but I would (and will) order it again. Service was friendly, feeling like a nice little neighborhood spot.
