Yeahhhhhh this place???? Really good. Get the pad Thai. It's better than other pad Thai. And the phat rolls. Those phat rolls? PHAT (in flavor, in size they're about normal). Nice waitress. I'm omw to end things w someone who is into me more than I am into them.
We came to Phat Thai as part of a dine out deal! Now, it's part of our permanent Thai rotation (especially if you are jonesing for thai without waiting 3 hours). The pad see ew was solid - good smoky flavor and almost equal ratio of noodles to everything else (which is how I like it!). The panang curry was a bit more liquidy than I prefer, but had a really good flavor. The mango sticky rice tasted just like the ones we had in Thailand - sweet/salty coconut cream with sweet mango is always a great combo. We were sad to have missed the nitro thai tea, so we will be back! Don't forget they are closed Tuesday though.
Tasty. Responsibly priced. Good service. Vibe- love the simple and bright decor. Clean and good lighting. Food- so dang tasty. We got pad Thai, pad see eww, and drunken noodles for entrees. And spring rolls and cucumber salad as appetizers. All good was super flavorful, good portion sizes, and well presented. Service- everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Shoutout to Victoria our server- she was super personable and attentive. Took great care of us!!
So yummy! They have fantastic happy hour deals on drinks. There were very pretty decorations around the restaurant that made it feel festive. We received our food quickly, it was all very flavorful, and the service was fast. Would definitely come again!

The Tom Kha was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the Pad Thai was exactly what I was hoping for. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and every bite exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was amazing as well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I haven't tried their Thai tea yet, but if it's anything like the food, I'm sure it'll be amazing. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!
Got dinner here around 8 pm on a Wednesday. Place was pretty when we came and even by the time we left. We walked in and were told to just pick wherever we wanted to sit. Menus and water were promptly provided. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and my friend ordered the pad kee mao with beef. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes. Pad thai was yummy, good amount of sauce. Lots of bean sprouts and crushed peanuts also. Pad kee mao had really strong basil notes -- probably the most basil taste I've had. Both dishes barely had any protein for the $5 additional charge -- if I knew how much protein I was actually getting, I probably would've just skipped on adding it. Overall a decent Thai spot if you're in the Marina area and don't wanna make the trek elsewhere.
I'm so glad we decided to come here !!! This place feels very down to earth and the staff is super friendly and attentive. They played 90s alternative which I appreciated :) the happy hour you just can't beat, 5$ cocktails and they were delish !! Food was on point, prices were affordable, they don't try and price gouge like most places so that was a plus. I definitely will come back. We accidentally forgot our left overs and the owner walked down the street and brought it to us which I thought was really nice. Please come here it's a must. Definitely a SF vibe here.
I'm giving the food a C- because it generally lacked any real taste or flavor. If I had to guess, most of the ingredients came out of a package or the freezer. For example, the springs rolls were hot but a bit stale and salty. The noodle dish (Pad See Ew) was bland and fried rice - completely forgettable. One highlight - I do think the added vegetables in each dish were fresh. We took home tons of leftovers but they will more than likely go uneaten. I would advice everyone to go somewhere else. Wait staff was warm and attentive.
I got the pad kee mao and it was delicious!! the spice level definitely surprised me but it was so good with how spicy it was (i love spice!). it was really nice inside with all the decor. and the waitstaff were super attentive! definitely give this place a go if you're craving thai food!
The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the staff was quick and friendly and the inside was nice! Great location down near north beach, good spot to walk around and see the area too
I stopped by after a pilates class and was seated by my server Tina at the bar right when I entered. Tina was awesome and a lovely and attentive server. It wasn't quite dinner time so I got a mango sticky rice and the nitro thai tea and both were amazing. The rice was nice and warm and the mango was fresh and sweet. It's a small and cozy restaurant and my food came out very quickly. I was also able to meet Bobby and Ashley who run the restaurant and they were super sweet!! Love this place and loved my experience here, I will definitely be back to try their main entrees next time!
The braised beef noodle soup is excellent. It was loaded with tender pieces of beef and the stock was very flavorful. We also ordered the fried chicken skins and placed pieces in the soup. The skin absorbs the soup and it's so tasty. We also ordered delicious Ka Pow Wings which was a special item listed on the board inside the restaurant. The fried calamari that we had was flavorful but a tad too oily. The pad Thai that I saw at another table looked good and deserves to be tried on my next visit. This is a casual restaurant with very good service. They come to check on you and frequently refill water. Parking can be challenging since it's street parking, but we found a spot within a block during lunch time.

Stopped by Phat Thai on Lombard Street in San Francisco and had a solid experience overall. I ordered the pad sew ew and the panang curry--both dishes were flavorful and came out quickly. The pad sew ew had that nice balance of savory and slightly sweet, with well-cooked noodles and a good portion size. The panang curry was warm, comforting, and lots of flavor. It also comes with a side of rice making it a really nice dish. Both dishes were delicious and definitely satisfies the Thai food cravings. Service was efficient and the vibe was casual and easy. Indoor dining only in the staff are very attentive and polite. Would come back to try more from the menu. read more

Food: Tom Yum soup: 5/5. Very flavorful, perfectly sour and sweet with a strong tomato base. Pad see ew: 4.5/5. Pretty decent dish. It was rather spicy for being at a "mild" level so beware. Yellow chicken curry: 5/5. Very creamy and spiced well. Service: Waitstaff were all very polite and friendly. However, service could have been more attentive--we didn't get our drinks until we were nearly done with our food and weren't notified of the delay until much later (it was due to a shortage of cups), amongst other events. Overall: The food is delicious, service isn't quite there but I'd definitely come here again, especially for the happy hour special (50% off cocktails)! read more
the prices are on the higher end for classic thai food, but the portion sizes are huge! the food was just okay for the price we paid. we tried the: - crispy pork with fried rice ($22): pork was very tough. but it was crispy and fried rice was good - pad thai with beef ($21): plain pad thai is $16 but we added beef for $5. there was too much sauce so it was very sticky and sweet. there were a lot of noodles but the ratio to beef wasn't great. beef itself was a little tough - fried calamari ($12): calamari was ok but the sweet chilli sauce wasn't spicy at all read more
Went for the happy hour. Definitely good price on the happy hour drinks. The Ka Pow Wings (appetizer) was recommended by the server. However, it was too salty for us. You can call it flavorful I guess. The BBQ Pork entree was not worth $22, half of the plate was just chopped up Romain lettuce. Dipping sauce was good but it was simply grilled thinly-cut pork. Ordered takeout for pickup and the food was prepared quickly and packaged well! The crispy pork was still crispy by the time we got home. It had a sweet flavor that was surprising but delicious and the rice was addicting. The pad see ew was also very flavorful and on the sweet side as well and had lots of veggies, which I appreciated. I would've liked a bit more protein in the pad see ew but each container was 2 servings so great value! Would definitely go back to try other things on the menu. read more
I had the pad see ew with beef and it was really tasty just a little citrusy. The mango sticky rice was divine and I loved the presentation for it. The kitchen staff was really fast for Saturday lunchtime. Inside the restaurant was cute and spacious. read more

I liked most of what we ordered, especially the fresh spring rolls ($12) with lots of crunchy romaine, tasty tofu, mint and housemade peanut sauce. Yum. My son's crispy pork and fried rice was delicious but seemed like it was more a Korean pork tonkatsu dish rather than Thai. The rice was especially flavorful and a great complement to the dish. The menu miss - and I was braced for it- was the Lad Na main ($20 + $4 for beef). Not only did it not compare to the old Penny's Noodle Shop in Chicago but it was swimming in gravy like a stew in a glutinous, flavorless beef sauce. Sigh, no. It wasn't good. It also looks different in photos of this dish here on Phat Thai's site if you take a look. Next time, I'll tap Pad See Ew, pineapple fried rice and Pad Thai that all get raves. Service was attentive once we got their attention. It took almost 8-10 minutes to get our table wiped down and given menus and water. After that, smooth sailing. Great location on Lombard, look for the vibrant orange awning. Decent street parking especially after 8pm once metered spots reserved for employee shuttles free up. read more
I can't speak for much of the menu, but the fresh rolls were killer. Unlike so much tofu, theirs was prepared deliciously so that the dish didn't rely entirely on the peanut sauce for flavor. It was a generous helping such that it could easily be an entree for one. The service was quick, the space is quirky and charming--a great pick for a casual but fun date or friends dinner. I only knock a star off because the ratio of tofu to cucumber and lettuce wasn't primo. It was probably 1:3 and ought to be 1:1. With that change they'd be a contender for GOAT fresh roll. read more
We stopped by this Thai restaurant in the marina on a whim and were so glad we did! I could tell it was a popular spot, with all of the tables being full by the time we left. The food here was SO flavorful and delicious! I got the pad kee mao and the noodles were cooked perfectly and all of the flavors complimented each other so well. However, be very cautious with the spice level!! I got mild and it was still really spicy for me and definitely a lot more than other Thai restaurants I've been to. read more

It was my turn to plan date night and I picked this spot for dinner after mini golf at the Palace of Fine Arts. We arrived around 5pm and maybe because it was a holiday weekend but there was a lot of street parking available on a Saturday evening. We were invited to sit wherever we liked and started off with drinks and an appetizer. I loved the peachy keen cocktail, but it's on the sweeter end so I could only do one. B got a beer and we split the fried chicken skins. We ordered them spicy and while they were flavorful, they didn't register as hot to me. I actually had a lot of trouble picking an entree because everything sounded so good but after getting reccs from our server, I ordered the chicken pad Thai and B got the ka pow with bbq duck. Our food came out quickly and was really good. I will say, the pad Thai is marked as spicy and it didn't register on my heat scale at all, but it was super flavorful so don't let that deter you. The service was great and I was enamored by the video of street food from Thailand on the TVs. Would definitely recommend and return. read more

This place gives me mixed feelings because the food all looks kind of off in terms of color and appearance (like the green curry, pad thai etc all looked a bit funny) but tasted fine. I got the green curry as my main and it was a big portion size and I liked all the veggies in it - but also the curry wasn't as smooth as I wanted. Went with a group of 5 friends and everyone also liked their food but thought the textures could be better. Ambiance inside is chill and service was decent. Popped in this swanky little gem for some dinner. Lena and Elsi provided excellent service and hooked me up with Chicken satay, Tom Yum Soup, and Cucumber salad. Very well portioned and fresh, all served at perfect temperatures. I have to say the ambience is amazing. Cozy understated place comfortable feeling with big windows to watch the world go by while enjoying Thai. Enjoy! read more

Great Thai spot, super affordable! Service was great & food was tasty. Mango sticky rice had a good amount of sweetness to it & the right mangoes were used so it was extra good. Panang curry was a bit watery but I liked the flavor & had a decent amount of protein in it (chicken, which I added). Pad see ew was delicious! Love this place, it has plenty of tables even though it looks like a hole in the wall type place, & TVs around the restaurant playing foodie youtube videos which were very entertaining. read more
Cute shop right on Lombard street in the marina area. One thing I have to say is they really bring the Thai heat. I usually get hot in Thai places but decided to get medium and it was the same caliber. The food it's self tasted great too! The ka prow side was essentially the same thing they added to the pad kee mao noodles as well. Both were very tasty and reasonably priced. I do which the pad kee mao had the typically sliced chicken pieces instead though. Service was good too no complaints the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. definitely a place to go back to! read more

As I meandered through the crisp January air, not in pursuit of vittles but rather led by whimsy, my eyes did chance upon a sign so beguiling it set my appetite astir. It read: "Phat Thai." The name alone bore such repetition as to suggest a certainty of mastery, and I was reminded, indeed, of Sir Danksalot and his fabled TukTuk of enchantment. "Why not?" I thought. If fate bids me here, who am I to decline her summons? The exterior was as welcoming as an old friend's smile, and within, I found a cozy abode of some twenty tables, a bar gleaming with bottles, a neon sign casting its colorful glow, and the hum of cheerful music. The staff, though not wholly of Thai origin, bustled about with a genial air that transcended such trifles. After all, as the Thais say, "jai yen yen"--keep your heart cool. Now, the menu--ah, the menu! A cornucopia of delights awaited, and lo, there was even happy hour on a weekend! Half-priced Singha and Chang? Why, that is the kind of generosity to make a man weep with gratitude. As a vegetarian, I cast my eye upon their Pad Thai, which, though adorned with egg, was graciously altered to suit my needs. Such accommodation deserves no less than a kop khun mak mak (many thanks indeed). But the true gem lay in their chili selection. Four varieties, mind you--not the paltry one or two most establishments offer. Here was the full spectrum of heat and flavor, a veritable mai pen rai (no worries) for the adventurous palate. And the beer! Beyond the local brews, they boasted IPAs and other frothy wonders fit for any connoisseur. Cleanliness and order reigned supreme, the floors shining as though polished by the hands of angels. This place, my friends, is a sanctuary for those seeking both sustenance and a bit of cheer. I shall say without hesitation or hyperbole, Phat Thai Phat Thai Phat Thai is a beacon of joy, and I recommend it to all who value good food, good drink, and a touch of magic in their dining. --A humble wanderer and lover of fine things. read more
Phat Thai made me the most delicious "Ka Pow" modified for gluten sensitivity (no soy). The ratio of stir-fried chicken to bell peppers, green beans, chilies, and basil was perfection!! I also had a bite of the matcha cheesecake, and it was so good. If they have any cheesecake available, I highly recommend grabbing a slice or two. Love the lively and welcoming decor here. Servers were kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Restaurant is really clean and spacious. Def will be back! read more
