If you are going to lounge by the pool at the Andaz, this is definitely the place to eat. Aside from being super convenient because they provide the poolside service, the food and drinks were great! Over the course of our week stay in September, we dined here a few times. The service was awesome. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food arrived in covered white plastic boxes with bamboo utensils. Wait time varied. The quality and portion sizes of the food was very good. And the taste of the food and drinks were delicious. My favorite was the vegetarian Coconut Curry Bowl which was delicious. My bf enjoyed his local fish catch of the day sandwich which was Opah. The Bloody Mary was amazing and filled with veggies. Beers by the pool served on the The Kuka smoothie was good but more icy than smooth I expected. The servers were friendly and attentive. For a restaurant with pool service, the Bumbye Beach Bar was a wonderful.
Great birthday lunch with my nieces here! Views are magnificent and food is fresh and service is spot on. It is a bit pricy but what do you expect for a place like this outdoors and airy and the cool breeze hitting your smiling face, it feels like something never like before. This is my go to place for special lunches even if it's just a celebration of the weekend. Happy hour has reduces prices too on drinks but no kama'aina rates as of now. There is no need for a reservation for lunch. Servers all super attentive and eager to please and make your meal the best. Try any of the salads or bowls and the Wagu Burger is my fav. Enjoy and happy eating!
We were excited to come here on a Sunday afternoon for cocktails and appetizers. Sadly the information online was out of date. The place closes at 5 PM (not 6 PM). They also don't have the happy hour as listed (said it was until 5 PM). The menu is also different than advertised. Screenshots attached. Otherwise a really nice location near the resort pool. Just disappointed.
This is the pool bar/restaurant at the Andaz Hotel. My mom and I had lunch here one day and also ordered food from the pool one day. The restaurant has some nice umbrella covered tables at the top of the pool area. There is also a bar with seats around it, as well as TVs. They also have live entertainment some evenings. When we actually ate at the restaurant, we had the following: Kalua pork fries: crisp cut waffle fries topped with pulled pork, cheddar, cheese sauce, fresh guacamole, upcountry pico de gallo and onion sour cream. These were like nachos but with waffle fries. These were good but the portion was huge and there was too much cheese sauce. And I did not really like the seasoning on the waffle fries. Lobster grilled cheese: roasted garlic bread, white cheddar, tomato relish. Mom liked this but it was also a large portion and too messy. It had a nice lobster flavor though and lots of cheese. At the pool, I had the fresh catch tacos: local fresh fish (mahi mahi that day), fire roasted tropical fruit salsa, cumin sour cream, sesame-ginger slaw, and sliced jalapenos. These were tasty though the fish was a bit fishy. Loved the slaw. Fresh fish and veggies. Mom had a side of waffle fries. This was a huge portion. Again I did not like the seasoning on them. I also ordered a blue hawaiian drink: white rum, blue curacao, coconut cream, lemon, pineapple. This was really tasty but cost $19. And it was a small plastic cup mostly ice, barely any liquor. So overall not a bad place but not great either.

Mmmmmmmm!!!! The views! The deliciousness!!!! Go here! I was very hesitant to get the lobster grilled cheese because it said it was in garlic sourdough. I LOVE sourdough bread but not garlic. She said you can not do it without the garlic because it's baked in but that it's not very overpowering. So I tried it. It was sooooooo good! I did NOT regret my choice...at all! Especially when my husband got his fish sandwich which did not look anywhere close to as yummy as mine. He said it was ok but nothing great. He regretted his choice. I got waffle fries and he got straight cut fries. We were both pleased with the fries. The only down side to waffle fries is that they always give you such a small portion. I could have had way more. But they were good! The service was good. A little slow but not terrible. We had to get to a lei making class so I ran to grab our check and we checked right out. The views from the tables are spectacular. The umbrellas keep you shaded. I recommend dining here...especially if you are already staying at the Andaz! Try the lobster grilled cheese...you won't be disappointed!
Nice happy hour spot at Andaz! We were able to watch the football game and the staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the Blue Hawaiian and my husband got the margarita on special! I loved the Blue Hawaiian but my husband said the margarita was okay. We got some beers after which were only $5!
We stayed at the Andaz for our honeymoon and truly loved everything we ordered pool-side from the Bumbye Beach Bar. The burgers were straight-up to die for. The cheddar cheese was melted to perfection, and the meat always came out perfectly cooked. Also really really good? The drinks! My husband must have tried almost every drink on the menu -- from the mai tai to the blue Hawaiian. Even the "Road to Hana" mango smoothie was delicious. We were also super impressed with their environmentally conscious packaging! Ketchup containers were biodegradable, as were the utensils. And the sturdy white containers were both reusable and chic. The pool-side service left a lot to be desired, and the prices felt borderline ridiculous. But there's no denying that the food at the Bumbye Beach Bar was some of our favorite of the trip.
Sat poolside on our last day in Maui and got cocktails and dessert at Bumbye. The view is awesome! The drinks are delish. And the dessert is yummy! We had a great time! The cocktails are $17 and the desserts are around $9. The service is pretty quick and we didn't have any trouble finding somewhere to sit and lounge.

Drinks came out quickly and was as beautiful as it was tasty. Food arrived in large containers with lids. Condiments napkins and utensils were provided as well. Food was great! I'd definitely spend another full day lounging at the pool.

Located on the first level of the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, next to the kiddies pool, this is where you can order food and beverage while lounging in the cabana or any poolside table and chair. There are many resort employees available to help you arrange seating and take your order. We were offered complimentary mochi ice cream while we waited for our order. Our group of four enjoyed our meal. Mahi tacos were cooked just right, the tofu bowl was quite flavorful, the Beyond burger was juicy, and the signature Bumbye burger was good too. Thank you to all the employees for helping to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable! We had a fabulous time! read more

Food is relatively pricey, however, what isn't during travel time?! For the price, the food is excellent! Service was, what I thought, the most thorough- our server Joey, was such an angel!! Very nice location with great beach view! read more

Came back again and had another fantastic day! Bingo is Monday's, Wednesdays, and Saturday's! The lobster grilled cheese was to die for My only "complaint"- the steak nachos had *too* much cheese sauce & steak & could have had more chips (good problem to have lol) read more

Mmmmmmmm!!!! The views! The deliciousness!!!! Go here! I was very hesitant to get the lobster grilled cheese because it said it was in garlic sourdough. I LOVE sourdough bread but not garlic. Bumbye Beach Bar is located adjacent to the infinity pool at Andaz. My 5* rating is purely based on the experience and not on the food or drinks. In my opinion, visiting the Bumbye Beach Bar is the best way to take advantage of the best of what Andaz has to offer (the infinity pools) for those on a limited budget or for those who don't want to spend upwards of 600-700$ a night at the hotel. You can valet your car, go right to the pool chairs, and a server from Bumbye Beach Bar will come up to you to take your order. The drinks are pretty expensive....$16/cocktail, smoothies are $8, and food items span a range from $10-$30. You don't have to order much. When I was a hotel guest, I ordered 1 smoothie. Add in a valet tip of $3-$5 and you'll be able to enjoy the pool for ~$15 at a minimum. If too many people start doing this, I can imagine Andaz cracking down but in the meantime, this is probably the best and cheapest way to experience the Andaz pool without paying a lot of $ out of your pocket. Look at the pictures to see if you think ~$15-$20 is worth the experience. You be the judge. read more

While staying at the Andaz, we spent a lot of time at Bumbye the drink options are amazing (but pricey) and the staff is extremely attentive. There were a few times we would have to wait for 10 minutes, but it's usually pretty busy so give them a break. Our favorite and by far best day of service was at the lowest level bar with Bianca and her team. They were all SO nice and friendly and provided great recommendations for food + drinks. Bianca also gave us a lot of general info for the island, and you could just tell the entire staff vibed very well together making the overall experience A+. I would not leave the Andaz without trying the coconut mojitos (frozen) and the jalapeno marg. Vegans: I would recommend getting the spring roll with just avocado. I did have the Soba Noodle salad twice which we were told was vegan but it made me feel very ill both days, so I think they may have had misunderstood + my sensitive stomach. Please go here and enjoy - but definitely bring a full wallet :) read more
Great atmosphere, drinks, and service! We had a drink here before dinner at Ka'ana Kitchen (another great experience!). It's a great place to watch the sunset, although the seating and umbrella positions don't quite keep the sun out of your eyes. We had a great server, and both of the cocktails I had were very good -- the Pimms Rangoon and Game of Thrones (I especially liked this one!). Drinks are a bit pricey, even for a resort ($19 each), but it still beats the $26 cocktail I had at a skytop lounge in New York once. And at least the serving was generous and good quality. We ate here for lunch one day when we were having a pool day, and we ordered drinks a couple other times too. My husband had the burger with Mac salad and I had the lobster grilled cheese with waffle fries. Both were awesome, and I had some good frozen drinks, one with mint and lime and rum. Knocking off a star for high price but otherwise great food and drinks. read more
We had food and drinks from here several times during our stay at the Andaz. I tried the lobster grilled cheese and the ahi poke bowl. Both were delicious and fresh. My wife tried their kale salad with avacados which she really enjoyed. Drinks are pricey but delicious! Employees will walk around the pool area and take food and drink orders, all which can get charged to the room (dangerous, I know!). read more

Quickly became our favorite food option at the Andaz. Staff was super friendly and knowledgable about the offerings. Go big and get the loaded waffle fries they are insanely good. I wouldn't order the ahi poke again. Beautiful presentation and quality fish but there was a lot of rice which I felt made this poke too warm. read more

My favorite beach bar in Maui! And probably the best in the area. Both the view and the food were AMAZING! I love the ahi poke here - just LOVE LOVE LOVE. Simple dish, but so fresh and tasty. Ahi was very high quality. Kalua pork fries were good but a bit too cheesy. Bumbye bowl was listed as an appetizer, but essentially a dessert (you'll see why in the photo). For non-alcoholic drinks, coconut wireless was my favorite. read more

When we were at the lower pool, Caroline was a nice server. Friendly, efficient, helpful. When we closed out and moved to a table up by the bar, no one came to be a waiter/waitress. Caroline happened to be there, so asked if she could wait on us, & she did. Nice view from the top tier. Ordered the "legendary" $21 lobster grilled cheese sandwich. It was very good, but did not live up to the hype. Sizeable, but the bread to contents ratio was off. Too much bread, smothered the flavor. Waffle fries good too. Overall, a pleasant visit. read more

The views are stunning. Look over the 3 infinity pools and walk down-- all the way down-- to the bar (on the right with cool couches). My son had eel/avocado sushi which he loved. My husband and I had martinis. Pls try the lillikoi martini-- delicious. The staff, from the valets to the bartenders were extremely helpful and friendly. You know they are top notch when they ignore the fact that you still have sand on your legs and feet, and their only goal is to make you comfortable. If you show up in between 5-5:30pm, watch the chefs go out to the lawn for their tribal chant! It is their time to connect and decompress, just as Chef Morimoto would encourage. Thank you Andaz! Cool bar but not a lot of seating in the shade where you also had an ocean view. My Mai tai tasted and looked nothing like a Mai tai. It had so much lime it tasted like a margarita. I didn't care for it and am not sure id come back. read more
We hit up Bumbye Beach Bar at Andaz prior to dinner reservations at Ka'Ana kitchen. I was a bit disappointed when half of our party wanted reservations for 7:45 for dinner - this is after Maui's sunset! Because of this, I wanted drinks with sunset views, and they obliged. We decided to hit up the bar at Andaz and were not disappointed. We ordered a bottle of bubbles (Rose, I believe) and some appetizers. We had an awesome couch area to sit on while enjoying our drinks and conversation. I highly recommend this option for drinks before Ka'Ana or one of the other restaurants. If you are lucky enough to stay at Andaz for your trip, check this out every night for sunset views, it won't disappoint! read more

Nothing says "relax" like laying poolside in Wailea Maui and ordering cocktails and food seat side. The staff here is extremely friendly and accommodating. They laid out seat covers for us, brought us pool towels and made sure we had ample SPF, water and drinks/ food. The food was served on trays that's made it very convenient and easy to enjoy a meal by the pool. read more

I enjoy coming here for happy hour. Food delicious and the staff is always friendly. If you drive you can get your ticket validated. And yea free parking. As a local I always remember to tip the valet;not just the food servers. read more

Courteous service from waitress One of the guys named John not sure what he does came by after bringing up bar supplies introduced himself. Great guy 5 children was a good runner at another place until the Andaz opened. Love these stories about the people especially those who are moving up in the world Hopefully our room will be available soon So far very impressed with the Andaz read more
