    Pool bar view.

The bar staff, that has been there for years, are always fun to hang out with and banter back and forth with. We have been coming here for lots of years and it amazes me that they remember us every time we are back. Makes us feel like part of the O'hana. I do with happy hour lasted longer.

Standard poolside fare. Nothing shaving but yet portions were generous and everything tasted good. The nachos are a standout. The burger is good. The fish and chips are good. The kids pizzas are fine enough. The salads are soooo much lettuce w not enough dressing. The steak and mahi-mahi combo plate was surprisingly great given it would be $$$$ anywhere else.

Lokelani Pool Bar is located at the largest main pool at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club which fronts the middle tower. ATMOSPHERE: The decent-sized bar has stools on all four sides and a couple of big TV's, with low and high tops surrounding it. MENU: Aside from the usual drink menu, they also serve bar-style apps, fruits, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, vegetarian options, tacos, pizzas, fish & chips, and kid's menu. BEVERAGE: Mojito - $13.50 After paying around $4 for these in Puerto Vallarta, it's accurate to say I was in sticker shock. The cup size was extremely small, and the drink watered down by melting ice. As I watched it being made, I thought it was going to be strong and tasty but it was such a disappointment. The drink was void of any mint or even alcohol flavor and truly tasted like a citrusy ice water. Pass! Not wanting to be gouged any further, we all got good ol' fashioned beer, a pre-made, guaranteed expectation, sanely priced at $6 - $7 a pop. SERVICE: Prior to us coming here, we were waiting to be served on the pool deck. A male server (whose name I know but will not say), totally ignored me and my two friends as we grabbed some lounge chairs on the grass. He knew we were there as we were right next to an elderly couple who he tended to. Aren't you at your job to work and make money for the hotel and tips for yourself? Am I reaching for the stars? Since we got zero service on the pool deck, we walked up to order drinks. Bartender Johnny was friendly and professional, immediately greeting me and my friend. While his mojito wasn't the best, he did try his hardest. Once we took up residency on a low top, server Peachie was our gal. She was on top of everything and constantly checked on us. That's how you do it! OVERALL: Overpriced like many a Hawai'i resort bar. It's probably not allowed but I say stash your own drinks in a big tote and bring it with you to the pool. As long as that same male server is working, you won't be harassed as he'll totally ignore you.

Been here for a week now and have been coming everyday to have a couple of drinks before heading to the beach. Best bartenders= Charlie, Johnny, and Terry, they're our besties ;) higher price point on the drinks, but you're in Maui so don't expect cheap prices for anything lol :/

Horrible service, weak drinks, and ridiculously expensive prices. Even on Maui terms. Never again.

We didn't have reservations and upon arriving at the host stand, the female hostess was snobby and did not want to help us and instead, the male host sat us down at a communal table with ottermans for seats. We didn't feel like crouching down to eat so I went back to ask if we could sit at the bar. We moved to the bar and ordered from the bartender; I got the lobster roll and my husband ordered the poke nachos. We realized there was a musician playing and wanted to move closer to the music. So I decided to go back to the host stand and ask if we could get on the list for a table close to the musician. The female host proceeded to snob me WHILE she drinks from her hydroflask. The male host stated to me that since we ordered our food already, we are not allowed to sit on a table since those tables have servers too. He also had an attitude. I asked very nicely and felt that they thought I was interrupting their deep conversations. The male host reluctantly stated that the tables open up after 9:30pm. Management really needs to school these two on how to talk to guests with more respect. This was on 11/14/25, approx. 8pm. As local kama'aina, we expected more but those two failed miserably. After we finished eating our food, we closed out our tab and moved by the musician. Needless to say, we were nicely greeted by a waitress who asked if she can get us anything. This place could be so much more but our experience with the front of the house was enough for us to not return during our trip. On the flip side, the lobster roll was really good whereas the poke nachos was okay. There's so much more dining options within the Westin's vicinity with great service AND food, like Leilani's Beach Bar (at Leilani's on The Beach) so we would not recommend this place BUT if you want a good lobster roll, this is the place to have it.

Just what we needed after a day at the beach/pool with the kids. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately, no reservation. From the moment we pulled up, the service was seamless--the Complimentary Valet Parking is such a massive plus and started the night on a high note. We're lucky to see Maui's beauty every day, but dining at Son'z, with its incredible view and dreamy atmosphere, really makes us feel like we're living our dream vacation. It's easily one of the most romantic and stunning spots on the island. The highlight of the evening, though, was the hospitality. I was so stoked to run into Maranda at the hostess station--it had been a hot minute and it was so lovely to see a familiar face! The staff truly went above and beyond to make my dad feel celebrated, even bringing out a special birthday dessert (that looked almost too good to eat!) to cap off the night. And the food was absolutely incredible. We started with the Blackened Ahi (that Sake-Mustard Beurre Blanc is everything!) and the Pork & Vegetable Dumplings. For the mains, the Wagyu New York Strip was cooked to perfection, but the 32 oz Tomahawk Rib Eye was the real showstopper--especially paired with the Brandy-Peppercorn and Chimichurri. We didn't sleep on the sides either; the Bacon Mac & Cheese, Broccolini, and those Local Mushrooms & Maui Onions were the perfect complements to the steaks. Mahalo to the entire team at Son'z for making this such a memorable birthday celebration. We will definitely be back! XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

The chicken nuggets we ordered for the kids were dry and honestly, I'd prefer Costco or McDonald's nuggets at that point--especially for $15+. The mac and cheese was just okay, but it also came out cold--another $15+ item. Everything is over $20, which would be fine if the food was worth it. My sliders were bland and also cold--no flavor at all. The only saving grace from the food side were the chicken wings--they were crispy and the sauces (especially the spicy one) were great. But--major shout-out to the bartender, Sean. He was awesome--super friendly, welcoming, and made the vibe a lot better amidst the food disappointment. He deserves 5 stars on his own. Now, the arcade itself? Fantastic for the kids! Great selection of games and prizes. We spent $40 and the kids had a blast, taking home some decent prizes. Bottom line: come for the arcade fun, not the food!

We unfortunately left it to 8:30pm to find a dinner place (had a full day) and many places were closing soon. I came upon Happy Fish during my research and looked at the menu, everything sounded good. Upon arrival it was ~9pm and they close at 11pm, so still have a few hours. It was actually kinda busy for 9pm. Folks at the bar and a few tables. It was seat yourself though so we grabbed a spot and our waiter came within a couple minutes to greet us and bring waters. I already knew what I wanted: TROPICAL MAHI RICE BOWL: mahi filet over a bed of rice with slaw, mango salsa, poblano sauce, sour cream, cilantro & lime. The mahi was grilled and delicious!! I asked for a side of hot sauce and that completed the dish. Absolute !! The service was really great, I enjoyed Michael and his conversation. He was so interesting and definitely made the experience 5 for us. The other thing I really appreciated about Happy Fish is that they didn't bust your wallet. The prices were competitive and because of that, I'll definitely be back. I saw they have a happy hour menu too 9-11pm, I'm going to try that before I leave along with black light bingo Wednesday nights!! More fun to come and I'll def be telling all my friends and family who come to Maui to hit up Happy Fish. Amazing service, bomb food, great prices, and awesome vibe. Can't ask for anything more!!
