The Lobby Lounge is a sweet spot for a quick bite or a drink. The views and vibes are great. I appreciated the music and hula dancer in the evening. You can watch the sun set, too! The service was great; we had to wait 10 minutes during peak time (early evening), but once seated, our waitress was attentive and quick to assist us. Many high end spirits plus local cocktails blended with indigenous fruits to create aloha bliss. Had a couple of drinks with my mom around 5:30pm on a weekday, while we waited for my daughter's hula practice to be done. Seating was comfy, view was beautiful, and ambiance was perfect with live acoustic musician singing and playing the guitar. Our server was nice and checked on us often. The drink menu is seasonal, and unfortunately, they no longer have the drink my mom wanted, nor the ingredients to make it. I ordered that Talisman Mai Tai. It was very strong like last time, which is a good thing considering how much one drink is. It didn't look like they had any dim sum on the menu from a previous visit. Unfortunately, there were no happy hour specials when we were there and kama'aina discount at the restaurants has been reduced to 20%. If I'm there again, I would stop in for a drinks or pupus; but due to the price, I would not go out of my way to dine or drink here. read more

So just a note on service here. I am a single person presenting at the host stand at roughly 5:30p local time. Just flew in from the east coast so I am already at 10:30 on my body clock. I ask if I can just grab a seat at the bar and they tell me to "space out" the dining orders etc. could I come back at 7? I am a party of 1, uno, single- not 10 covers. Not sure I will even be able to stay up until 7! They act like my old fashioned order will sink the bartender and service staff to the point of no return. This was my first time in Maui and I wanted to enjoy a cocktail at the posh Four Seasons. The Spago bar was at full capacity at 5 pm so we opted for the Lobby Lounge. We were seated right away with the host politely accommodating our request the another table. The waitress came by to take our drink orders and I asked some questions about the taste etc. the waitress appeared bothered and inconvenienced when I asked her. Appearing so bothered that she said "the drinks are premade" in an effort to stop my questions. Our drinks came and they were surprisingly good, didn't taste premade at all. Despite the uncomfortable interaction, the drinks were good and we were considering having a second drink. We found an article about how a bartender here created an off menu "white lotus" cocktail. We asked the waitress and she scoffed at us in a mocking way in response to my inquiry. I decided to get the check and leave. This place is beautiful. The bar is great and the bartenders are extremely friendly. I've never had any issues the numerous times I've been to this place before. My last visit was in mid-October 2022 with my boyfriend and it was appalling. It showcased the preference of the lobby lounge manager who appeared elitist and disrespectful. My boyfriend and I (which by the way, we are an interracial couple and yes, it plays into this WHOLE experience), were relaxing on a couch in the lounge and I had my feet on the sofa. This is a common practice that is seen OFTEN at the lobby lounge, as couples are relaxing in this manner, whether they are celebrities or not. We were positioned like this for about 1.5 hours and none of the staff approached us about this being an issue. Then, the people seated next to us changed and it was a group of at least four extremely obese men with Southern American accents. Now, this is where things started... This group of southern obese men walked past my boyfriend and I and refused to sit by us. Then, our waitress came up with our check before we where ready to leave (we were nowhere near finishing our wine, and we said no we are not ready yet). This group of men then came back because there was nowhere else to sit. Then, within 10 minutes of this group of men sitting down, the lobby lounge manager comes over and says, "I'm going to have to ask you to have your shoes on because having your feet out is a violation of our food and beverage code." So I said, "Ok" but knew that this was a crock of crap because if that were the case, patrons wouldn't be able to wear sandals. My boyfriend ended up telling the manager off not once, but twice and called him on the crap he said because of his experience and knowledge about this industry. He verbalized to the manager that he was purposely trying to make us leave before we were ready due to the commentary from the disrespectful patrons sitting next to us. The manager couldn't even cover up his lie. It made him look extremely bad. Lobby Lounge at the Four Seasons must either be (1) in a financial bind and/or (2) desperate to kiss up to individuals who weren't comfortable with our presence. We were so angry and distraught that after my boyfriend told the manager off, we immediately left. We unfortunately didn't pay our bill, but for Lobby lounge to treat us like that they honestly didn't deserve a dime from us. Period. read more

This lounge was a lifesaver!! Our go-to spot during our stay here at the beautiful Four Seasons in Maui. We came here to relax almost every evening. It was a great spot to bring our toddler because they had a kids menu and live Hawaiian music and even hula dancers some nights! And since it was a lobby lounge, our toddler was able to move around without being confined to one chair. The manager even brought us a cool magnetic block toy for her to play with. Excellent service! The drinks here were phenomenal. The cocktail menu was extensive and organized by drink color which was really playful and unique. All the cocktails were very well-crafted, balanced, tasty, and enjoyable. Even the presentation was gorgeous with unique cups, fresh flowers, and bright colors. Definitely on the pricey end but it's the Four Seasons with an ocean view and live music so... you get what you pay for. The food was better than I expected. I had low expectations since it's just a lobby lounge but it was actually pretty good. We really liked the sushi roll sampler. The sliders weren't bad either. My friends are visiting from out of town and brought me here for happy hour cocktails. It was amazing. We seated ourselves and the waitress quickly brought us mixed nuts and olives. She explained the drink menu very carefully and she was very sweet with such a pretty smile. I tried the Kipahulu Lulu Mai Tai and it did not disappoint. It was refreshing and so delicious. My friends ordered several martinis. One of my friends ordered the cucumber green tea martini he let us take a sip and it was so refreshing. I am ordering this martini next. He also ordered the skinny colada martini. This was also a winner. Overall, beautiful view and beautiful atmosphere. Customer service is great. It's not somewhere I personally can go for drinks all the time but it's a nice change from happy hour in Kahului and Wailuku. I love this lounge. We had amazing food and cocktails on the two occasions we stopped in here. The first time we sat at the bar and I had a green tea martini (healthy, right? antioxidents! haha!) and a glass of wine. My husband had an old fashioned and some wine. We ordered sushi and sashimi. This was amazingly fresh sushi and this order was filling enough for dinner. The bartending staff was so friendly and chatted with us as we were there for an early evening (pre sunset) cocktail and it was surprisingly not packed. On our next visit, we had one cocktail after dinner. I tried the skinny colada and it was AMAZING! I avoid pina colada's in general because they are so calorie and fat heavy and just a heavy drink in general. This was sweet, tropical, and much better for you (although I'd hesitate to call it good for you). It's coconut water, coconut flavored vodka and caramelized pineapple with a toasted coconut rim. The pineapple was not heavy handed at all (the drink did not take on the fruit juice color) as I think caramelized goes a long way. This is the right island drink for Hawaii and I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it. The only thing is that there is no happy hour discount. That is implied on some of the yelp reviews I think. Happy hour is a time of day but it's not like some of the other hotels or the shops at Wailea where they have food/drink specials. I would not expect that at a Four Seasons either. The views here are lovely, we watched whales from the distance. The people watching is fabulous. The bartenders are attentive. The bar nuts and olives are yummy. The drinks and sushi are excelllent. We arrived early to secure a seat and by 4:50 (10 minutes before happy hour began) all the seats had been snatched up Our server, Jessica, promptly brought us a snack of mixed nuts and delicious olives ( I cannot stand olives but my wife convinced me to try these). The typical bar food was great - we loved the mango BBQ sliders & shishito peppers, but the dim sum and sushi were definitely not worth the price point. Sushi was rubbery & dim sum didn't impress us. The shrimp dumpling was especially bad - really chewy and flavorless. Service was worse - our server was pretty snooty and was giving visible attitude and snarkiness to one of our family members, which I didn't appreciate at all. Overlooking the pool and cabana area is a massive surround-the-entire-hotel lounge. Fully fit with soft sofas, two-person table and chairs and a beautifully decorated bar area. The architectural design of this lounge is pretty spectacular. You're in the hotel but also outside! Not to mention, if you walk down the stairs to the lower pool lever there are vendors in the courtyard. They sell art and hand crafts made on the island. There is also a ridiculously fabulous jewelry store where I had some jewelry therapy. What is jewelry therapy? Oh hun. You're missing out! That's when you get to wear the best pieces in the shop - even the ones not on display. So good for the soul! Any who, back up at the lounge is a musician playing island chill music with his guitar. Even if you are not staying here, I strongly encourage you to have a beverage here. You can thank me later. In fact put a bit on my tab so I can appreciate that thanks on my next visit! Went for dim sum Saturday eve. Arrived around 5:30 as it opened at 5:00. Ridiculous wait for dim sum. No A/C in Lobby so was very hot while waiting, and waiting, and waiting for dim sum. It's flown in from Oahu-- flight must have taken off after we were seated. Once it arrived, over an hour later, the quality was excellent. Our server was polite and decent. Got mai tais on the house after the dim sum arrived. Were parched by then too. Best mai tai I've had in Hawaii and quality of food was excellent. Won't return to Four Seasons for any thing. All I can say it is a beautiful place With ssuch high prices we paid $30 for eight pieces of Sushi just ok quality so ended up spending $140 before tips for two drinks one salad two orders of sushi. Went here for the happy hour (which is from 5-7pm nightly) on recommendation from our own hotel close by. TIP: Arrive slightly before 5pm (we got there 4:58pm and got our choice of any table), by 5:20 every table was packed. We luckily got a table overlooking the pool and ocean. Music and hula dancing starts at 5:30pm. A horn blows and a man in traditional Hawaiian garb runs around with a lit torch and lights all the other torches by the pool. It's touristy but cute. We were seated and had complimentary olives and nuts served immediately. Our waiter, Berlin, was amazing. For drinks we ordered: - Smoked Paloma ( casamigos reposado, ginger, agave, peach bitters, kiawe wood smoked grapefruit juice $20 ** I did NOT enjoy this drink, very smokey - in fact I was "that person" and sent it back and opted for a: - Cucumber Green Tea Martini ($17) instead - which was DELICIOUS and ended up having two! - (husband ordered) Kipahulu lulu Mai tai (sammys beach bar rum, Mai tai mix, lime, mint, Bing cherry foam) $19 - he enjoyed it but it wasn't anything to write home about. For food we ordered: - California roll (not on menu) for $16 - delicious but it's COATED in tobiko, which Berlin warned us about, but we had no idea it would have so much. If you're not a HUGE fan, I'd say ask for "light or no" tobiko. - Edamame $7 - good price and what you'd imagine for edamame served anywhere. Lightly warmed and salted. We mentioned to Berlin that it was our honeymoon and he brought out a plate with two chocolates on it that said "Congratulations" - nice touch! All the times I have visited this hotel, I've never thought to hang out at the bar prior to dinner. The view is amazing. It's a huge space with lots of couches to sink into, listen to live music and watch the sunset. An important note: the Lobby Lounge serves food and unlike most restaurants in the Wailea area, you don't need a reservation. It's a good alternative to a formal dinner and/or a nice place to sit a spell before moving onto the next relaxation activity. read more

I'm giving two stars because the manager Max was very pleasant and if this review was just about our interaction with him I would have given 5 stars. But this review is about the poor service/verbal attack my family and I received there. There's a older waitress there clearly in her late 50's that doesn't care for black people and she started raising her voice at us and being combative when all we did was ask to order food from another restaurant. because the night before we at here and they told us we could order from any restaurant on the property no restrictions. She was so rude it made us regret coming back. I think she expected us to lose our cool but none of us did. I have never had an experience like this anywhere else on the island. It was definitely discrimination because she was extremely pleasant to the white people next to us. So disappointed the Four Season has staff that behaved so poorly towards us! read more
