My biggest issue was I was charged almost 300 for a replacement part on my ac that was never cleared with me, he just installed it and then told me it was needed. The man then asked me if I "had a problem" paying which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Since then, they have provided emergency service for us at some condos we own and just recently came out to our house on a sweltering summer day to get our air conditioner working. Really impressed with the customer service we received from start to finish. We had them replace an ac unit last year and they were kind enough to hold the price for us to replace our second unit this year. Really quick response time and got the unit installed in a timely manner. My 5 year old was home so they built him a fort box in the backyard and when he asked if he could have some copper they went and cut some off the old unit for him to sell. Lisa, one of their staff told me "I'll see you Friday at 2pm". NEVER SHOWED UP. I call their office, no one answered, I call her phone she replied me with a text saying she will call me back soon. NEVER CALLED. I texted her again asking if they were coming. She told me that the technician was still working in another place. She apologize telling me that she should told me that the schedule has a 2 to four hours window, and that most ac company does the same. Maybe that is true but she shouldn't confirm my time 2pm TWICE and never mentioned the time window. She asked me to wait one hour. After one hour, NO ONE showed up. I ask her for an estimated time she said she doesn't have one. So I called another ac company they schedule with me tomorrow and also acknowledged me about the time window. I don't know how are the technician in this company, but I just felt that this is a company with irresponsible staff. She also asked me if I want to reschedule after waiting for 3 1/2 hours. The woman who answered the phone explained everything to me. Got someone over there that day. The bill with only 232 dollars when they could have charged me 4K and I wouldn't have know the difference. What an awesome company to work with. Next time I need AC work done, they will be the company to do it. One other thing. The woman who answered the phone asked me for the tenants name and phone number so they could contact the tenant directly. Awesome! Normally I need to beg companies to do this. Air went out at my house which is an emergency in Phx even in September. I couldn't get any of the bigger places to come out until Monday. Being it was Wednesday, that was not acceptable. I happen to notice Bumble Bee and the great reviews they have. Gave them a "buzz" and within a few hours they were able to get a tech over to look at it. The lady who set up my appt was very polite and helpful. The tech who came was Bronson. Very polite young man who not only fixed my issue but he showed me exactly what it was and how small the problem was. He could of easily tried to take me to the cleaners like others do. He was honest and had great communication skills. Not everyday you find that with guys showing up to your home to fix things. I believe this is a smaller family owned business which is always better in my opinion. Next time my air goes out they will be the first people to call. They came to our rescue! We live in California and have a rental in Tempe. It is difficult to schedule urgent repairs so far away and having someone trustworthy is key. Our tenant called in the morning stating the a/c wasn't working and needed it fixed ASAP since it was going to be about 116. We had actually called another company that we had used in the past for maintenance on the unit (AccuTemp). They arrived in afternoon and wanted almost $800 to repair the motor. My husband quickly got on the internet and found Bumblebee. Lisa quoted half the price for the same repair! She moved heaven and earth and got a repairmen out that same day as well as calmed down our agitated tenant. They were professional, courteous, efficient, and reputable. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received from Bumble Bee. My system was blowing cool, but not cold which isn't enough for July in Phoenix. I previously used a different company for an annual service in the spring but was very dissatisfied with them, especially with all of the extra service plans and "memberships clubs" they were pushing on me for a system that in their own words was working correctly. I decided to give Bumble Bee a try and the whole process was easy, quick, and affordable.I was able to get a hold of them immediately and they were able to come out and look at my system the next day. The technician was very knowledgeable, and was able to give me a very good explanation of the problem, what needed to be done, and why. It turned out my indoor coils were extremely dirty and simply needed a cleaning. Their pricing was very reasonable for this, and my system is back to blowing ice cold air. UNRELIABLE! Scheduled for a two hour window and didn't call till 5 minutes before the end of that window to say they weren't coming that day after all. Rushed home from work to be there for nothing. Three girls in the office and none of them had the same story. Had the 2 hour window time wrong, too! Recently the compressor on my AC unit crapped out (I had a different company come and confirm this at a ridiculously high price) and I contemplated either replacing it or getting a new unit altogether, although I was strongly leaning towards getting a new unit (my old one was 20+ years old) if I could afford it. I contacted 3 companies for estimates on both a new compressor and new unit. Bumble Bee AC was the only company that came out to actually look at my unit and confirm that the compressor was indeed shot (the other 2 companies refused to come look). They were also the only company that didn't push a new unit on me. Aside from being great to deal w/ from the very beginning, their estimate for a new unit was $1,000 LESS than the next cheapest one (the same exact model that the other 2, bigger companies quoted me for)!! They even pointed out that this was the same unit they have on their own home. Given all this, we decided to go w/ them and get the new unit. They installed it two days after we agreed to give them our business. Lisa and Jimmy were both amazing - super nice and genuine people who were clearly not out to screw me. I am a PhD student at ASU so this was a huge purchase for us, and they made it clear that they understood this and were just great about the whole process. First impressions are everything. I came home from work late in the evening to find my AC unit not blowing anything. I called around a few places and wasn't having much luck. Not only that, the other places were booked out a week and generally just kinda cold and short with me on the phone. I called Bumble Bee around 8pm and 1) they answered 2) were very sympathetic and nice 3) scheduled me for the following morning and 4) tried to help diagnose the issue over the phone to see if anything made a difference. I mean, my gosh! Gold star customer service. The techs arrived the following morning, and in the beginning of the window time block they gave me. Not at the end or later like most service repair companies do. And they were great too. Very nice and professional. They did what they needed to do and were out in about an hour or so. After asking me a few questions about what was happening he had found the issue and repaired it within 30 minutes. I was happy to find out that the issue was not that big and not that expensive. Never once did he try to fix anything else or sell me on upgrades. But he answered all my questions when I asked about preventive maintenance. Came into town in July to find a non-functional ac. Called a few places and bumble bee sent someone over with an hour. Unfortunately, the compressor was stuck. The normal trick of enlarging the capacitor didn't work, so...I got quotes for replacing the compressor and the entire ac.
