Had a problem so I called them because I had them do a clean up service before the summer hit...I was having a noise that did not sound right....it was a Friday and they came right over and found that a part (fan blower) was broken but could maybe continue working for a short amount of time while they would try and get the replacement part...That night the AC stopped working...I called and left them a message and went to a hotel. Summer time is no time to be in a house with no AC....by the next morning when I called they were already on it trying to source the part and by 1 PM they were back with the part and fixed it. I'll start by saying that I'm not a "yelper" in the sense of sharing experiences and writing reviews. I like word of mouth reviews and conversing in person about people's experiences. The next thing I'll say about this particular review is that it's coming from someone who ran a Residential HVAC Service Department for a large and successful company in Portland Oregon for 7 years. Against my better judgement, I never had anyone out to perform annual maintenance on my system. After a massive renovation on our home all the way down to jackhammering our foundation to replace all the plumbing, I knew it was time to give the system some cleaning and maintenance. Bumblebee installed this new system for my now wife about 10 years ago. 8 years and one amazing 19 month old boy later, we called Bumblebee back to perform the service. Keep in mind through this, I was not involved in the least with any interactions with this company. My wife who had the option to work from home, dealt with them 100% while I was working. They did the maintenance, performed a much needed complete coil cleaning and installed a new Nest thermostat that we had purchased previously and changed our filters. The thermostat ended up being smarter than us and caused some problems where the factory setting for eco mode that it went to when nobody was home was set to 90. A few dinners out and a few very helpful phone calls with Lisa and even a visit from a tech later, we got it figured out. A week later we noticed the system having trouble getting down to temperature and it was also short cycling. Bumblebee was out the next day and despite their best efforts, we were going to be without a working system for the night. This is a big problem for a family with a young toddler. *Pay attention to this part* Bumblebee DID NOT allow this to be our problem. They made it theirs and made it their problem to solve. When I tell you that they went above and beyond, people of the world, that would be an understatement. This problem of ours that they adopted was to make sure our lives were as uninterrupted as possible. This included an old and very furry black dog who really shouldn't have to deal with excessive heat. At the end of the day, this company made us feel like family. They made us feel like we were the only thing that mattered to them. They were SOOO nice and soo compassionate and understand and patient, so much that I can't even believe a company like this exists anymore. The company I worked for in Portland was ran very similar to Bumblebee. I took pride in my ability and mentoring and freedom to take care of our customers by any means necessary. It was not about profit margins when a family just needed some help. It was all about opportunity when a system we had never touched was sabotaged by another company and we were there to clean up the mess. It was all about making a great name in our community and giving back to those who just needed our help. Bumblebee is going to forever be our company, and they are going to forever be on the tip of my tongue whenever I have the chance to recommend them. Jimmy, Lisa , Nicole and Kris, you guys are freakin rock stars. I can't wait to share with friends and family the amazing lengths you guys went to for us. I feel like we should have you all over for our Friday night family dinner or something! There's really no way to repay you for the service you provided to our family. In a situation where our life was a little disrupted, we didn't suffer in the least from it, all because of your above and beyond services. Bumble bee was the original company who installed the ac unit at my house. I had a repair done last year and they were extremely prompt in getting out to my house and making the repair. This year I had a part go out and dealt with my home warranty fix it. After going 16 days without ac they fixed one part only to find another needed to be fixed. I called bumble bee and they were at my house in less than 2 hours and will be back tomorrow to repair the unit. Their staff, Nicole, and technicians, Adam, are always so kind and accommodating. I called on a Tuesday and they sent a technician out that Thursday for an estimate. Craig arrived on time--early actually--and suggested a mini split unit with a separate remote for my bedroom. You know that sinking feeling? It's 113 degrees outside when your air conditioner has stopped working? My husband was out of town, I don't know sqaut about an air conditioning, and I'm dreading the news that I have to buy a new one? At the recommendation of a friend, I called Jim at Bumble Bee and he was able to fit me in that afternoon. THANK GOD! I know that this is shocking, but there actually is a Heating and Air Conditioning Company in town that is ...ready? HONEST! Jim tested my capacitor (my neighbor had checked for everything else, so Jim didn't have to do a lot of testing on the unit) and the capacitor had failed. He replaced it and added some freon. I was slightly surprised by my bill, which was $280, because my neighbor had told me that a capacitor is a relatively inexpensive part ($25-$50), but I do believe Jim to be honest and capable..and who wants to argue that when it's 113 degrees? This is THE company to call for HONEST repair and sales! read more

My AC went out on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of an extreme heat warning here in the valley. After countless attempts from my landlord to get a company to come take a look at it, we were still left with no AC come Tuesday afternoon. I called bumble bee air conditioning that afternoon and expressed the urgency of getting it fixed immediately. Lisa, the woman in the office, was very empathetic and said she could send someone as soon as he finished with another customer. It was the first time since the whole ordeal happened that my concerns weren't just dismissed but rather validated and being addressed accordingly. I felt as if she actually cared that my family and I were suffering through this heat wave. Not long after that Jimmy showed up to take a look. He explained to us that the motor was the problem and even went as far as bringing me up on the roof with him to show me a few of the issues. He said it could be fixed the very next day but that he could temporarily have it up and running that night at least for a few hours until the motor overheated again and would shut it off. He said it would at least make it bearable for the night. The next morning, A man named Steve was sent out to fix everything. He even went over things in detail with our warranty company, who also said, "he was incredibly helpful and the most pleasant technician he had ever worked with." From start to finish, this company was caring, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. I've been having a problem with one of my AC units. I had a company come out and they claimed the problem was due to a low amount of freon. I paid them to fix it and a month later I was having the same problem. Last week I called Bumble Bee and they sent Gabriel out. He was very friendly and honest. I asked him for an estimate and breakdown of costs. I called my brother in Utah who is an AC tech and explained the problem and estimate and he let me know that they were right on and the price was fair. After we realized out ac was out over labor day weekend, I did a quick search to see who would be available to speak to over the holiday weekend. Lisa from Bumble Bee was very helpful in having someone come out and take a look. They found out we need a new compressor at the very least, or a new unit as ours is at the end of its warranty life. After a little investigation we found the part was under warranty and was able to quickly schedule a replacement. He answered all my questions and educated me about my A/C unit. I feel more equipped as an informed home owner because of Kris's time. I was having issues with water coming out of the A/C improperly. After looking at the reviews on Yelp I gave this local Tempe company a shot and boy, I am glad I did. After speaking to Lisa on the phone she had someone had my house first thing in the morning. The tech showed up on time and was an overall nice guy. So I got home Wednesday from work and noticed it was still warm in my place. The thermostat read 85 and I was little concerned because the lower temperature wasn't holding. I emailed Lisa since it was a little late, and I received a response very early the next morning. She asked if I could set up an appointment so they could come out and ensure that they did the job correctly. Professional, knowledgeable, and zero hard-sell (on the HVAC unit or on any extras). In fact, after one quote we did a lot of research and regretfully discovered we were lied to by another company. Bumblebee was honest and the price was right in line with what we figured a new gas pak 3.5 should cost including labor and all the rest. The team showed up on time and Kris was so easy to work with. He answered questions honestly and at the end of the day there wasn't a stray screw anywhere on my property.
