The bar is the best thing about this place. I've come twice and neither time was the food describe as good. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't what i would call good or really have the desire of repeating! But bartenders are BOMB. Good conversation but not overly chatty. The drinks are strong but still tasty. Here's what i had: Blue Crab fried Rice Salty is an understatement. The soy sauce pour done at the end was past OVER kill. This should be something they allow people to add on there own. The presentation does not match the taste. I couldn't even taste the rice because of the soy sauce. Two bites was all i could take and i had to stop. Fried Oyster Slider Yummyyyyy!! I'm not typically an oyster girl, but these were fried to perfection. The Hawaiian roll bun was the perfect touch to this sandwich. They weren't too big or too small. Brussel Sprouts They like salt in this place. You may need to take your high blood pressure meds before you dine here. They had good texture, not too hard not too soft. But salty!! Scallop Rolls The scallops were yum not as a sandwich. I picked all the scallops out and left the roll! Whiskey #1 The best thing on the menu!! Parking here is kinda confusing. It's shared with two Urban Licks. read more

Four of us went to Bully Boy last night. The room is beautiful. They have perhaps the most uncomfortable chairs imaginable though they look interesting. Cocktails were good. The first dish we ordered was Banh mi calamari. It was good and the pickled carrots were our favorite thing of the night. That doesn't seem right. Also, bahn mi is a sandwich, not a set of ingredients. We also ordered brussel sprouts. They were fine but deep fried within an inch of their lives. If we had been served them blind folded we would have had no idea. Duck bao. The buns were legit. There was so little duck in them they made no impression. They might as well have been mayonnaise bao. Meanwhile, we were told up front that everything was meant to be shared but they would only give us 3 buns - they wouldn't sell us an extra one. I know this is fairly normal but it's stupid. They have several things on the menu sold in threes. Your menu is either designed to be shared or not. Blue crab fried rice. It's an outstanding clever presentation but it tastes like soy sauce. As a fried rice dish, it may be the worst I've ever had. You could see crab but when I tasted a hunk alone it tasted like soy sauce. The rice was muddy. The omelet was fine but not seasoned and so the whole dish is a mess - a $26 mess. We so wanted to like it there but I don't think we'll be back. read more

We really enjoyed coming here. Our waiter, B, was awesome and made it a really fun time. It has a cool atmosphere. The drinks were good and the food was even better. We got the Brussels sprouts and they were so good. Then we got the blue crab fried rice, which is their specialty, and it was really good. The egg on top was really creamy and delicious. I highly recommend coming here. We will definitely be back. read more

Honestly the food was awesome! Super fresh. Oysters were out of this world!! Spring Rolls 10/10. Cute for a date night or a friends nights out so much fun! GO HERE! read more

The sauces need refinement. The sauce on the brussels and crab fried rice was super rich. The oyster sauce was bland. The crab fried rice needs a name change. I suggest the hungry man's super omelet with a side of rice and a hint of crab. Man that was a really big omelet. I am not sure eviscerating it table side was really necessary. The empanada was pretty good. The calamari was unique and tasty. The eggplant was terrific but about half of them were almost raw. Drinks and service were great. read more

Great new addition to the neighborhood! I love the vibe of this restaurant. Extremely friendly service, and the music was on point!! I met a friend here for dinner on a Wednesday evening - we had an amazing waitress - wish I could remember her name. She suggested some of everything...and that's what we ordered lol. We ordered the smoked bluefish dip (SOOO good!), mango salad, calamari, brussels sprouts, BBQ Shrimp, and the scallop roll. My faves were the smoked bluefish dip, brussels, and the scallop roll. We had the Kit Kat for dessert. I will def be back, as there are a couple more menu items I'd like to try - and I need another bay scallop roll. read more

This is such an interesting place. It's located right behind Two Urban Licks, like I think right behind their loading dock or something. From the outside, the building looks so unassuming and small. But the inside was quite lovely. High wooden tables with pots of moss or some sort of greenery decorations really pop out. Food: We got the Blue crab mango salad, which was mild in flavor but good. Really happy about the real crab meat instead of imitation meat. The CLAM CHOWDER LINGUINE was awesome! Never had noodles with my clam chowder, Highly recommened. What was even more surprising was the amount of food we got for the price. Very very fair, especially in this area. read more

Nice new swanky seafood spot! These are the same owners of Two Urban Licks & they have another hit restaurant. The complimentary valet parking is shared with Two Urban Licks. The other options are street parking that requires a little walk or Uber/Lyft. The entrance door is discreet & I literally walked pass it only to turn around & walk back to enter...lol. Once inside, I was welcomed with a warm greeting. I waited at the bar for my friend to arrive for our 7 PM reservation made via Open Table. It was a cool experience waiting at the bar because I enjoyed watching the chef & mixologist create food & cocktails. The Tequila #1 was a little too sweet for my tasting & I'm a fan of fruity cocktails. Next time I will try the Snowcone. They make a limited number of Snowcone cocktails so they were already sold out by 7 PM on a Thursday. Our waitress, Tara, was attentive. The Maine Jonah Crab Roll was a winner-buttery toasted bread & crab meat & fries. The only suggestion is I would have liked the crab meat to be a little sweeter & the fries have a special seasoning to give them a kick. I like the denim attire worn by the staff & matching denim cloth napkins. I'll be back for sure to taste the Snowcone cocktail! read more

We made reservations to come here on a Sunday night, it was surprisingly not as busy as we were expecting! So, I don't think the vibe would be same as if it was a busy Saturday night. The food was really good! We had the oysters, wagyu beef tartare, the wings, 60 second steak, and the cape cod clams. We liked all of them and probably liked the clams the least. 60 second steak with truffle sauce was so good! I had the vodka #1 drink and it was light and refreshing. Valet was definitely not as bad as stated in the other reviews, but it wasn't that busy either. It is confusing when you get there - if you pull down towards Two Urban Licks entrance, they won't take your car and you have to turn around. Definitely worth a try if you're interested! read more

I was looking forward to some good seafood plates but I was a bit disappointed. We love Two Urban Licks, who has the same executive chef, but we can not say the same for this place. My husband said it best, "we could not taste the flavors of the seafood because it was all smothered in heavy sauces". We tasted several of the seafood plates and they were just OK, nothing special, nothing to go back to. We were a party of 4 and we all left unsatisfied. Sad truly, because we had high hopes. The wait staff did a very good job thou!! read more

My husband and I had dinner here and it was absolutely amazing! The waitress explained the menu and how the food would arrive at our table for the best experience--it was definitely one to remember! The Brussels sprouts were the star of the show but the whole red snapper was a great way to end the night-- the flavors were impeccable! As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but appreciate the atmosphere: the slow R&B, fresh greenery, natural ambient light; it was a vibe for sure! I highly recommend! read more

Finally got the chance to try out Bully Boy as a part of a girls' night out - what a great choice! We were greeted and seated right away for our reservation - and the ambiance was awesome. Lauren was our server - attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly! Justin, the chef, came over to discuss the menu and make recommendations based on our likes. We started with the smoked fish dip and wings - two great choices that we all enjoyed! We also had the blue crab fried rice, the rabbit burger and fries, the 60 second steak, and a half dozen oysters. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!! Food was seasoned and prepared well - and our craft cocktails were tasty as well. If you have the opportunity, definitely check this place out! read more

This was my first visit at bully boy. It's located next to two urban licks ( same valet parking used). Valet parking available only. Please tip the valet guys with cash or card. Establishment was very calm and is great for a intimate birthday dinner or date night. Very clean establishment with friendly staff. I ordered the Brussel sprouts, calamari and fries. The brussel sprouts were good but were very salty. The French fries and calamari were good. If your a sauce person like me, they have unique sauces with great flavors to choose from. read more

Just awesome! Come and get the Tequila #1; any of their fresh Oysters, the Snapper Tartare, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and OMG the Blue Crab Fried Rice, delicious and such a great idea. The staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was nice. The food was presented nicely, but the taste of all three dishes was basically bland. Good, but nothing outstanding. However, the biggest problem was the menu. We booked through Open Table and the menu they linked to was NOT the current menu at all. In fact, we thought we were going to a standard seafood/American place, when the concept now is strongly Asian/Japanese. So, just a heads up about that before you come. read more

Had a great experience here! Lauren provided amazing service, and the food was incredible. Hard to say what we enjoyed the most. We had a table of 6 and wanted to try as much as possible. I recently found this restaurant on the Yelp and wanted to give a try on Valentine's day. Bully Boy is located next to Two Urban Licks and have a complimentary valet parking with Two Urban Licks. Line to get to valet was quite long that we have to wait about 20 min in the car. It might be because of Valentine's day. The space of restaurant very open and the vibe was good. They have open bars and rest is filled with table. Tables were very close that I was able to hear people next table and had hard time getting in and out from my seat without hitting others. :( We ordered smoked bluefish dips, blue crab fried rice, and New England clam chowder carbonara. Smoked bluefish dips - It was one of my favorite. It had great texture and smoked taste which goes along perfectly with the chip. Blue crab fried rice - This was in Japanese omelette style which the fried rice is served with omelette on top. The server cut the omelette into half and and pours the soy-based sauce which was cool. But I REALLY wished that he ASKED about how much sauce he should pour in because it was too salty and strong that it overwhelmed over all the other taste. New England clam chowder carbonara - I love both clam chowder and carbonara. Idea of combining two was very refreshing and wanted to give a try. It was little bit greasy and creamy. Since both food suppose to be creamy, I think the dish would have been better if it was balanced out. The restaurant seemed relatively new and still figuring some stuff out here. It was overall good - the vibe was great and server was so nice. The food was very creative and have potential though see things to be more established in some dishes. I would come back when they are more established. read more

Had a very odd experience at Bully Boy with my husband- they use QR codes so that you can pay for your meal at the end. Our QR code did not work, we brought this up to our server as we waited about 15-20 minutes with her trying to figure it out with the manager and we wanted to just pay and leave after we had very poor service the entire meal. The server told us the bill was paid by someone and we didnt owe anything. This was so odd- my husband insisted no one would have paid and asked her to check again because we were uncomfortable leaving without a bill. 10 more minutes pass and the server confirms, our bill is $0 and insisted there was nothing more we could do. I left cash tip because I had no clue who paid the bill and wanted to make sure the server got paid. Not even 5 minutes after we leave the restaurant, the manager at Bully Boy calls my husband (we booked reservations online which included his cell number) and tells us we did not pay our $130 bill and she needs a credit card number. At this point we are utterly confused. We calculated tip on what we ordered (even without a check) because we wanted to leave at least 20% (despite poor service) and the bill should have been $80. The manager told us she would call back. Sure enough, after a few minutes the manager calls back with a new bill amount after we listed off each thing we ordered. We paid the bill over the phone but we thought it was so unprofessional of the establishment to put us through this. It was confusing and we're not even sure if we were billed correctly. The fact that management called us to pay $80 after the confusion that they created was very unprofessional to me, especially considering the horrible service and lack of care for the customers. I will not be returning here and told all of my friends in Atlanta to avoid because of this. Additionally, the service was so slow and our Mochi melted by the time we got spoons to eat it. The food was good but not worth the hassle of the poor service and odd experiences here. I was disappointed. Would not recommend going here- there's much better spots with better management and service in Atlanta. read more

Everything was amazing! From the moment we walked in everyone was so friendly and accommodating! Our server, Lauren was the best!! She was friendly, knowledgeable and she made some awesome recommendations that we followed and they did not disappoint!! We got the red snapper tartar, oyster sliders, lobster frites and the royal red shrimp pasta! Everything was so unique and just plain delicious. I ordered a pinoGrigio but without my even asking Lauren brought me a taste of this wonderful Greek wine that was even less expensive than the one I initially ordered! I was so grateful for that gesture! Not only did it show that the people at Bully Boy are kind but we felt like they truly cared more about us trying new things and enjoying our experience and less about hiking up the total on our check. Everyone must give Bully Boy a try!! I will definitely be back with my crew!! read more

Bully Boy - Lobster Frites!!!! - Seafood Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

This place was really great. It was a little weird to find because it's located behind two Urban licks as a stand alone building in the parking lot. However the atmosphere was nice and very modern and the waiting staff is very attentive. This place is more of a family style place where you order small dishes and share them together, so if you a person that likes to have their own dish I wouldn't recommend it. However each of the plates we had were so delicious. They also have a decent variety of unique cocktails that were all so delicious. Overall had a good experience and would come again read more

Short version: kinda disappointing, at least when I went a month or so ago, so hopefully it has improved since. Long version: I took two pescatarian friends here a little while back since the restaurant has a wonderful menu of seafood options at Bully Boy. Unfortunately, we were fairly underwhelmed by the experience. Logistics: there is complementary valet parking available from the valet curb at adjacent Two Urban Licks (same ownership as Bully Boy). Reservations can be made by phone or online which is very convenient, although on a Sunday evening when we ate there, it wasn't particularly busy. Seating & space: similar to Two Urban Licks, the exterior building is pretty industrial and unassuming, I actually didn't notice the entrance at first glance, but the inside is more interesting, albeit a little less cohesive than its sister restaurant. The menu is organized with the intent of shareable plates, listing smaller items from the top to larger portions at the bottom of the front page. The back side of the menu hosts a good variety of cocktail, beer, and wine options. We started with an order of raw oysters ($3 each, 4 kinds of Virginica oysters from Massachusetts to choose from), crispy brussel sprouts ($9), calamari ($14), mussels (I forget the price), and the blue crab fried rice ($28) plus drinks. Brussel sprouts were almost inedibly salty. It was pretty bad and we didn't finish it. Calamari was pretty good, probably the only dish we all really liked. I enjoyed the mussels but my companions felt it was somewhat meh. The fried rice was just okay even though it was supposedly one of their most popular dishes. The presentation was really interesting and probably the dish we were most excited to try. However, the flavor was just okay and it was too salty from the soy sauce poured tableside. The meal wasn't very satisfying and for ~$40 a person (bill was ~$120 for three people) I expected it to have been much, much better. I am a fan of Two Urban Licks so was really looking forward to trying Bully Boy. Best case scenario, we went on an off day and/or the food is inconsistent. Worst case scenario, the food is just not that great--which is worsened by it's slightly higher price point. One thing I really did not like was how our server, who was at least friendly, covered up a very bad mistake. One of my friends does not drink alcohol, so the waitress suggested the non-alcoholic version of their house punch. Upon getting his drink, my friend had a sip and said it tasted funny. He asked the server if there was alcohol in it or if that perhaps it was a kombucha or something fermented to which she said, oh yeah, that's it. It's... kombucha... in a very unconvincing manner. First of all, there is no kombucha listed on the menu. Second of all, as an alcohol drinker, it tasted like it had alcohol. He decided to just not drink it anymore, but I really did not like the way she handled the situation. If it was an honest mistake and she had brought out the wrong version of the punch, just apologize and replace the drink with what he ordered. Don't try to cover it up. That experience alone left a very negative impression with me in addition to the underwhelming food. Overall, it might be worth trying again and if you are a pescatarian, it does provide a lot of options, but it wouldn't be somewhere I would readily recommend anytime soon. read more

Why haven't I been here sooner?! Right off the beltline behind Two Urban Licks lies this little gem! So nice to find great seafood in Atlanta! We wanted to order everything on the menu, but we narrowed down everything to the Crispy Calamari ($14)-nicely fried in a tempura batter with a yummy cilantro aioli, the Springer Mt. Chicken Wings ($9)-lightly fried drums and flats in a Thai sauce, good but not spicy as the description portrays, the Virginia Oyster Sliders ($12)-fried oysters on a Hawaiian Rolls, so freaking yummy!!!, and lastly the Maine Jonah Crab Roll ($19)-warm crab in a toasted roll with a tasty side of fries. Everything was delicious!! We were trying our best to eat everything! Each dish is more than enough to share....or not if you're hungry! The only thing I didn't really care for was my drink the Mezcal #1 it was too much of a savory spicy taste for me, but I'm just more of a sweet alcoholic drink kind of person so someone else may like it! Overall, great experience and I'm sure I'll be back plenty this summer! read more
