Loved this place as it was recommended by one of my family friends in town for Korean food. The portions are HUGE, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so we had a lot of left over. Stopped in for lunch with some coworkers! This spot recently opened in Boxyard RTP and I missed it during Unboxing Weekend so I had to make sure I came back ASAP. I have had a few Korean BBQ experiences but I'm still pretty new to trying it. This was my first time having Bibimbap and I really liked it - the flavors and textures in this bowl were great! The chicken was flavored amazingly, I loved the fresh pickles, and the variety of sauces to try was a nice touch. The spot iteself is very cool - it's one of the few spots at Boxyard with [minimal] indoor seating. You order at a computer on your way in and then they process your order and call your name. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost here and found it to be a good deal at $12.50 for my chicken Bibimbap with so much food in it, I had to take half home! read more

I came by for a quick lunch before heading to a movie in Chapel Hill. It was just after noon, so I thought I'd be pushing my luck. I have to admit, the kiosk for ordering was a bit tricky, but I did get in an order. I got lucky and there was only a couple of people in front of me. It didn't take long for the order to come up, 2 steak tacos and a drink. The steak is marinated in something that makes it very savory and delicious. The variety of toppings on it are perfect too. It's really a great taco and I gobbled them both up before I got a photo! By the time I finished the line was out the door so I really had great timing. I also made it to my movie in plenty of time!! Bulkogi at the Boxyard is a gem! First off, the Boxyard is such a cool, trendy place to meet. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is always upbeat and a lot of fun. The fact that Bulkogi is there is just icing on the cake. Bulkogi is a korean bbq place that serves rice bowls and bibimbap. Everything I've tried on the menu is delicious. I will say Bulkogi is a little bit pricey (think mid-teens for a Bibimbap), but to make it up for it they definitely give you a lot of food. For me, it's enough for two generous servings or 1.5 servings if you're extra hungry. And I might add that the food is extremely tasty. The ingredients are always top notch. The meats are tender, perfectly seasoned and they always nail the soft egg they put on top. To top it off... the sauces they have are so tasty. I'd recommend trying them all! It's one of those places where you order online on a tablet and asked to tip before you speak to anyone, and cpllwct your food. Then I had to speak to someone for a small request (scramble my egg) which cought the workers but surprise. But service polite. After a bit resistance they did it (yey! Super simple). Food okay. Been here countless times. I LOVE Korean bbq and cuisine. The food is so good and like 2-3 meals! The sauces are a wonderful addition and the staff is typically always friendly and helpful. I love this place and can't wait to get back to Durham to get some! If you like Korean food definitely stop by. Its on the second floor. Service is normally pretty quick too, if you drop by on lunch even though it can get pretty crowded. They get you in and out. read more

Stumbled upon this place in the middle of RTP and glad I did. It's not cheap but the portions are huge. Love the make your own burrito bowl. Have only had the beef but they carry chicken too. I have never been to the food truck so was excited to try Bulkogi at Boxyard. We came on a cloudy cool evening so it wasn't super busy. When we arrived we were starving so we both opted for a build our own bowl with double meat. Well the double meat was a mistake because it was way too much food, so I guess you can say a good mistake because we probably both have another two meals! The spice is definitely tolerable so I was excited to add some extra spice with their sauces. I went with what seemed like Yum Yum sauce and Sriracha. The kimchi was good as a cold topping is also as a worm topping. All of the vegetables were crunchy and tasty. The waffle fries also had a seasoning on them that gave them a great flavor. The only thing better than the portion size was that the food is ready really fast. At most 5 minutes unless there's people ahead of you. I can't wait to go back and switch up some of my toppings and to try the pork. read more

My husband & I stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. You order at a Kiosk and then pick up the order when ready to eat at Boxyard's many tables or inside Bulkogi (limited room). It smelled amazing inside. I ended up confused at what was actually vegetarian - the menu wasn't clear, and the set up is not one where it would be easy to ask someone since you order at the kiosk and the staff are making food behind the glass. Since kimchi and other dishes are often made with fish sauce, etc., I didn't feel comfortable ordering and went to Carrburritos nearby. That being said my husband really loved his dish, said it was fresh, & he loved that everything was so customizable. The portion size was huge, and he can't wait to go back. I am so happy that this foodtruck expanded and opened a location at Boxyard. Their Korean BBQ is out of this world good! I have gotten both the spicy beef bulgogi and spicy chicken bulgogi as my meet for the bibimbap and they are both delicious, especially when you add the bibimbap sauce to it. This place was amazing. Went there with a large group of 10 or 12 people. We ordered from the kiosks , which were fast and easy to use. They do not have a lot of inside seating, but we did have room for our group. The food came quickly. I got the Bulkogi beef bowl. It was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Great Asian fusion restaurant located in a cool shipping container shopping center. It's got a fun vibe with amazing food. The kiosk that you order from was a bit confusing on the pricing. We ordered Korean BBQ Burrito Bowl and Kimchi Bul Fries. I loved the fries way more that the burrito bowl. The portion sizes are pretty big. My husband and I split each dish and took home leftovers. I was definitely not expecting to be so blown away by Bulkogi. The portions were massive and everything was so full of flavor. I've seen people get food from their food truck, but I don't think it's come anywhere close to the quality and portion size of the food from the restaurant. I got the bibimbap with tofu and a friend got the Korean BBQ burrito bowl, I would highly recommend both! The vibes at Boxyard are also so great for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. There's plenty of outdoor seating shaded from the sun. When we went on a Saturday afternoon, it was so sunny and they had live music and it was a great time. Will definitely be back soon! read more

This place was a huge disappointment. I got the kimchi fries with spicy pork and the fried rice with spicy pork. The meat was completely burnt and since they mix the rice with the meat on the skillet, the rice gets the burnt flavor as well. Also, it wasn't fried rice, it was white rice with fixings on top. To start with, It wasn't even clear that I was supposed to go to the kiosk to order. Then go away until you get a text. Mind you, for the privilege of ordering for myself (touching a likely bacteria filled screen), I am immediately prompted prior to payment for a tip for people who have so far I have not interacted with at all). I am so disappointed. I had been reading about Bulkogi online and the menu. I was excited to try the bibimbap. I am a celiac. I walked in and noticed the sign said that certain things were GF, V, VEG. Ok, so they denoted such. I ordered bibimbap via the kiosk (no human interaction) and paid for it, only to find out the signage was only referring to sauces. When prompted my order was ready, I then ask if it is GF. Apparently nothing in that store is. (except certain sauces). Why would you denote sauces are or not GF & not mention that about the food? How does that make sense? I gave the food to a friend. I'll be honest, super dissatisfied. I was not offered a refund, just teenagers staring at me, perplexedly. Poor performance!!! read more
