I've been here multiple times, because my office used to be right nearby. But even after moving to a different office, I still go back from time to time. The portions are very generous, and the flavor is really good. The only downside is that it takes a while to get your order. But this food is delicious. Boxyard also has many other things to do, so it's a nice location to visit. It's not just the restaurant. You can do trivia or karaoke or open mic night.
Solid bibimbap; enjoyed the pickled radish! I wish that they used a different shaped bowl for serving the food because my food was spilling out and it was hard to stir up the rice in it. But otherwise delicious meal. You order via a kiosk, so I didn't interact with the staff. There is a small eating area inside but if you're at Boxyard, would recommend sitting outside and enjoying the live music and vibes outdoors!
We came here on Monday afternoon. The box yard is definitely a summer/spring/fall spot but I'm so glad this restaurant was open. The spicy pork fried rice was delicious. The flavors punch you in the face and it's amazing. The spicy pork was cooked perfectly. A lot comes with it so you can definitely split this meal maybe into three separate meals. I split it into two. The service was quick and we were the only people there during that hour.
Had lunch with coworkers on a Monday, and this was the only lunch option open. The spicy beef bulkogi was solid, and enough for two lunches.
Fusion food is hard to get right, but Bulkogi gets it right and then some. There was so much to choose from and o my one day left in the area, but I could have lunch here everyday and never get bored. I finally landed on the bulgogi beef tacos. Not only was the beef tender and so flavorful, but it was served in my favorite food vessel - a warm folded corn tortilla (a taco). The fixins, including crunchy slightly spicy and sour kimchi and a delicious creamy aioli, completed my meal. The food was cooked in sight and served quickly and the space was clean and inviting. It was a warm hearty meal that made a rainy cold day turn bright (with flavor).
Get the bulkogi fries, you won't regret it!!!! Portions are huge, flavors are on point, I even love their kimchi and I'm not a huge kimchi fan. The interior of the restaurant is not great I mean the ceilings are low and it feels kinda stuffy but you can just take your food outside to eat and enjoy the forest-y feel amongst trees and some live music depending on the hour. I added a fried egg to my bowl and that was nice. Sauces are great, this place always hits.
I really enjoyed the food here, although it is definitely not a super traditional Korean restaurant. The ambience is great due to the RTP boxyard. Unfortunately, it took a really long time to actually get our food. The portions were excellent, and the food was good with a nice selection of sauces as well.
I've been wanting to try Bulkogi forever & am so glad to finally have had the chance! I got the Korean BBQ Burrito Bowl with Spicy Beef and Fried Rice. It was delicious and the portion size (& variety of toppings- corn, beans, onions, tomato) was great. I also really enjoyed the kimchi slaw that was on the bowl. The only negative was that it was not at all spicy- even with the added sauce that was supposed to be spicy. But I did appreciate all the sauce flavors; I tried Joe's Special, Spicy Aioli, and the Sweet & Sour & they were all tasty. Ambiance is great with some inside & lots of outdoor seating. Service is relatively fast. Lots of free parking available. 8.5/10 would recommend!
Highly recommend this place! The food is consistently amazing! It's really delicious and flavorful. I ordered the create your own bowl with beef and my boyfriend ordered the with chicken. We both really enjoyed our food and it was quite filling. It was my boyfriend's first time trying Bulkogi and he was literally blown away! Service was nice and sweet. Ambiance is airy and modern. Surely a nice place to try for lunch!
The portion sizes compelled me to write this review. Bulgogi is GENEROUS with their entrees!! Everyone in my party had leftovers to take home for at least one more meal. And in both settings, the food is real tasty. There are also self serve sauces next to where you pick up your food. The ordering system is through an iPad kiosk and they call your name out when the order is ready. One thing to note is that we could not find any trash cans in the restaurant but since they are in RTP, there are plenty of trash cans around. The inside of the restaurant is very casual and you can see the kitchen in action!
The flavors and quantity of the food was amazing at this location! Price was a little high but for the quantity it definitely was justified. Beautiful location and being able to hear live music and hang out was awesome. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
One of my favorite lunch spots at Boxyard RTP! I ordered my go-to Bibimbap with beef and a fried hard egg. So good! I topped it with the spicy aioli and bibimbap sauces. Both are very tasty. You order through a kiosk and there is very little human interaction, but the food is fast and tasty! There are tables inside, but I typically opt for eating outside at Boxyard. It is nice to have the option though. Overall great experience and excellent food! Will be back!
Absolutely delicious! The bulgogi beef bowl was flavorful, filling, and a big portion... which I loved! Every bite was pure yum. Highly recommend! Good price, friendly staff and quick service too! Also I love being able to add my own sauces on it as well. Great variety.

I would DEF recommend!! It was my first time trying this cuisine and it was really good , the noodles def have some spice to it but it was too fye fr . Service was good and it quick. The area was pretty chill as well and it was a nice setting. Will come again :3! read more

I always made an effort to visit whenever the food truck was near my work. I am so happy for them to have a permanent spot at Boxyard. My go-to is the bibimbap with beef. The portions are HUGE so come hungry. I like the bibimbap option because it includes a good variety of veggies (arugula, zucchini, sautéed carrots, bean sprouts and pickled daikon radish). I like to top my food with their spicy Mayo sauce. You order off a self service station and then they call your name on the opposite end once your food is ready. read more
This was my first time coming to Boxyard and I was not disappointed! I got the Korean BBQ chicken bowl with fried rice and was not disappointed. The food had plenty of flavor on its own, but they also had several different sauces you could add to your order which were all good too. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and inviting and there are plenty of areas to sit outside where you could enjoy your food and live music. The only reason I am giving 4/5 stars is due to limited indoor seating as it was around 95 degrees outside when we went to visit and the food doesn't paid well with the heat! read more
Loved this place as it was recommended by one of my family friends in town for Korean food. The portions are HUGE, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so we had a lot of left over. We had the Kimchi Bul-Fries, the Bibimbap, and the burrito bowl. All of them were great and I got extra meat which I wouldn't get again because the original portion. Is very good. Stopped in for lunch with some coworkers! This spot recently opened in Boxyard RTP and I missed it during Unboxing Weekend so I had to make sure I came back ASAP. I have had a few Korean BBQ experiences but I'm still pretty new to trying it. This was my first time having Bibimbap and I really liked it - the flavors and textures in this bowl were great! The chicken was flavored amazingly, I loved the fresh pickles, and the variety of sauces to try was a nice touch. The spot iteself is very cool - it's one of the few spots at Boxyard with [minimal] indoor seating. You order at a computer on your way in and then they process your order and call your name. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost here and found it to be a good deal at $12.50 for my chicken Bibimbap with so much food in it, I had to take half home! read more

They don't skimp on their portions at all! Delicious, fresh food. They have a lot of sauce choices at the front. I barely put a dent in mine. My boyfriend got extra beef on his bibimbap and he was shocked at the amount piled on-- he definitely will be getting the regular amount next time, haha. read more

Been here countless times. I LOVE Korean bbq and cuisine. The food is so good and like 2-3 meals! The sauces are a wonderful addition and the staff is typically always friendly and helpful. I love this place and can't wait to get back to Durham to get some! If you like Korean food definitely stop by. Its on the second floor. Service is normally pretty quick too, if you drop by on lunch even though it can get pretty crowded. They get you in and out. read more

I have never been to the food truck so was excited to try Bulkogi at Boxyard. We came on a cloudy cool evening so it wasn't super busy. When we arrived we were starving so we both opted for a build our own bowl with double meat. Well the double meat was a mistake because it was way too much food, so I guess you can say a good mistake because we probably both have another two meals! The spice is definitely tolerable so I was excited to add some extra spice with their sauces. I went with what seemed like Yum Yum sauce and Sriracha. The kimchi was good as a cold topping is also as a worm topping. All of the vegetables were crunchy and tasty. The waffle fries also had a seasoning on them that gave them a great flavor. The only thing better than the portion size was that the food is ready really fast. At most 5 minutes unless there's people ahead of you. I can't wait to go back and switch up some of my toppings and to try the pork. read more

My husband & I stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. You order at a Kiosk and then pick up the order when ready to eat at Boxyard's many tables or inside Bulkogi (limited room). It smelled amazing inside. I ended up confused at what was actually vegetarian - the menu wasn't clear, and the set up is not one where it would be easy to ask someone since you order at the kiosk and the staff are making food behind the glass. Since kimchi and other dishes are often made with fish sauce, etc., I didn't feel comfortable ordering and went to Carrburritos nearby. That being said my husband really loved his dish, said it was fresh, & he loved that everything was so customizable. The portion size was huge, and he can't wait to go back. I hope they can add something that indicates what is vegetarian in the future! read more

I am so happy that this foodtruck expanded and opened a location at Boxyard. Their Korean BBQ is out of this world good! I have gotten both the spicy beef bulgogi and spicy chicken bulgogi as my meet for the bibimbap and they are both delicious, especially when you add the bibimbap sauce to it. I had a friend with me that's vegan and she loved the spicy tofu tacos here too! read more

Great Asian fusion restaurant located in a cool shipping container shopping center. It's got a fun vibe with amazing food. The kiosk that you order from was a bit confusing on the pricing. We ordered Korean BBQ Burrito Bowl and Kimchi Bul Fries. I loved the fries way more that the burrito bowl. The portion sizes are pretty big. My husband and I split each dish and took home leftovers. In total before taxes we spent $29 for the two dishes. read more

I was definitely not expecting to be so blown away by Bulkogi. The portions were massive and everything was so full of flavor. I've seen people get food from their food truck, but I don't think it's come anywhere close to the quality and portion size of the food from the restaurant. I got the bibimbap with tofu and a friend got the Korean BBQ burrito bowl, I would highly recommend both! The vibes at Boxyard are also so great for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. There's plenty of outdoor seating shaded from the sun. When we went on a Saturday afternoon, it was so sunny and they had live music and it was a great time. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Food was good. Lots of protein and good mix of pickled veg and spring mix also. Condiments are available to add I grabbed the gochujang/bibimbop sauce and some Spicy aioli to add to the mix. Both great sauces. They didn't have alcohol on the menu so I went to Fullsteam to grab a beer. $10 bowl plus $4.50 for the protein. read more
