    Tofu bibimbap

Solid bibimbap; enjoyed the pickled radish! I wish that they used a different shaped bowl for serving the food because my food was spilling out and it was hard to stir up the rice in it. But otherwise delicious meal. You order via a kiosk, so I didn't interact with the staff. There is a small eating area inside but if you're at Boxyard, would recommend sitting outside and enjoying the live music and vibes outdoors!

We came here on Monday afternoon. The box yard is definitely a summer/spring/fall spot but I'm so glad this restaurant was open. The spicy pork fried rice was delicious. The flavors punch you in the face and it's amazing. The spicy pork was cooked perfectly. A lot comes with it so you can definitely split this meal maybe into three separate meals. I split it into two. The service was quick and we were the only people there during that hour.

Had lunch with coworkers on a Monday, and this was the only lunch option open. The spicy beef bulkogi was solid, and enough for two lunches.

Fusion food is hard to get right, but Bulkogi gets it right and then some. There was so much to choose from and o my one day left in the area, but I could have lunch here everyday and never get bored. I finally landed on the bulgogi beef tacos. Not only was the beef tender and so flavorful, but it was served in my favorite food vessel - a warm folded corn tortilla (a taco). The fixins, including crunchy slightly spicy and sour kimchi and a delicious creamy aioli, completed my meal. The food was cooked in sight and served quickly and the space was clean and inviting. It was a warm hearty meal that made a rainy cold day turn bright (with flavor).

Get the bulkogi fries, you won't regret it!!!! Portions are huge, flavors are on point, I even love their kimchi and I'm not a huge kimchi fan. The interior of the restaurant is not great I mean the ceilings are low and it feels kinda stuffy but you can just take your food outside to eat and enjoy the forest-y feel amongst trees and some live music depending on the hour. I added a fried egg to my bowl and that was nice. Sauces are great, this place always hits.

I really enjoyed the food here, although it is definitely not a super traditional Korean restaurant. The ambience is great due to the RTP boxyard. Unfortunately, it took a really long time to actually get our food. The portions were excellent, and the food was good with a nice selection of sauces as well.

I've been wanting to try Bulkogi forever & am so glad to finally have had the chance! I got the Korean BBQ Burrito Bowl with Spicy Beef and Fried Rice. It was delicious and the portion size (& variety of toppings- corn, beans, onions, tomato) was great. I also really enjoyed the kimchi slaw that was on the bowl. The only negative was that it was not at all spicy- even with the added sauce that was supposed to be spicy. But I did appreciate all the sauce flavors; I tried Joe's Special, Spicy Aioli, and the Sweet & Sour & they were all tasty. Ambiance is great with some inside & lots of outdoor seating. Service is relatively fast. Lots of free parking available. 8.5/10 would recommend!

Highly recommend this place! The food is consistently amazing! It's really delicious and flavorful. I ordered the create your own bowl with beef and my boyfriend ordered the with chicken. We both really enjoyed our food and it was quite filling. It was my boyfriend's first time trying Bulkogi and he was literally blown away! Service was nice and sweet. Ambiance is airy and modern. Surely a nice place to try for lunch!

The portion sizes compelled me to write this review. Bulgogi is GENEROUS with their entrees!! Everyone in my party had leftovers to take home for at least one more meal. And in both settings, the food is real tasty. There are also self serve sauces next to where you pick up your food. The ordering system is through an iPad kiosk and they call your name out when the order is ready. One thing to note is that we could not find any trash cans in the restaurant but since they are in RTP, there are plenty of trash cans around. The inside of the restaurant is very casual and you can see the kitchen in action!

The flavors and quantity of the food was amazing at this location! Price was a little high but for the quantity it definitely was justified. Beautiful location and being able to hear live music and hang out was awesome. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

One of my favorite lunch spots at Boxyard RTP! I ordered my go-to Bibimbap with beef and a fried hard egg. So good! I topped it with the spicy aioli and bibimbap sauces. Both are very tasty. You order through a kiosk and there is very little human interaction, but the food is fast and tasty! There are tables inside, but I typically opt for eating outside at Boxyard. It is nice to have the option though. Overall great experience and excellent food! Will be back!

Absolutely delicious! The bulgogi beef bowl was flavorful, filling, and a big portion... which I loved! Every bite was pure yum. Highly recommend! Good price, friendly staff and quick service too! Also I love being able to add my own sauces on it as well. Great variety.

So we were headed to get Indian food on 9th street, but there was an accident or something on 147 and I was at the exit for RTP, so I decided to go to Boxyard and have my favorite Bulkogi!!! Just like I told them, they have the best Bulgogi in the triangle. They have kiosks for you to place your order. Be careful when ordering the tacos, somehow one time I order 9 tacos instead of 3, lol but wasn't sad at all when I was able to have leftovers for days. My daughter always gets the Bulkogi fries and I always get the tacos. The order was ready in perfect time. We had just enough time to order drinks from the nearby bar and get some good seating outside and our food was ready. Every bite was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and amazing. There are several options on the menu, but I love what I love! Bulkogi has seating inside, but it was finally a beautiful sunny day, so we sat outside where there's tons of seating. The service is always great, and everyone is friendly.

Having been huge fans of North Carolina style BBQ, we were not disappointed. My wife and daughter enjoyed the Pork Plate. By for me, I went with the two meat combo with Pulled pork and brisket. The pulled pork was spot on. It was perfectly smoked and almost melted in my mouth. With a touch of spicy vinegar sauce, I was gone to Carolina in my mind for the rest of the day. The brisket might have been some of the best I've ever had. It had a nice fat layer and was also "melt in your mouth" and juicy. The brisket didn't need any sauce at all. It was that good. The hushpuppies were the star at the table. My family considers themselves to be connoisseurs of hush puppies, and these were ranked in the top five. A respectable ranking from such a discriminating hushpuppy panel. The sides we sampled included collard greens, mac and cheese and BBQ beans. The collards and Mac and cheese were out of this world. I should have ordered a double serving of the collards. However, the beans were a huge disappointment. They were more like a bowl of sub-par chili than BBQ beans. If we return, they will not be selected. A great BBQ spot when you are in Durham. Highly recommend you stop by, if only to taste the brisket!

I had made a reservation but it was probably unnecessary as it was pretty empty when we arrived (it was about 5pm on a Saturday.) The waitress brought a bottle of water to the table and took our drink order. And I know that this place is literally call it's a Southern thing but can I mention how much I dislike drinking out of mason jars? I ordered the chicken n biscuits, my husband got the country hamburger steak plate, my BiL got wings, and my SiL got the crabcakes. We also orders charred jalapeno & sweet corn hushpuppies and frickles as an appetizer. I was VERY excited about my food. Y'all...the only thing that impressed me were the Frickles. Everything else was distinctly underwhelming. I also ordered Blackberry Betta Have My Money which was not that great. My SiL ordered a espresso martini that they said didn't come from a mix but she said it tasted like it was. The bathrooms were very clean. The decor and the vibe were great. Cute even. I really enjoyed that part of it. After dropping off our food, we never saw our waitress again unless we flagged her down for drink refills. It was especially frustrating since there was automatic gratuity added. And since the place wasn't that busy, it felt like she didn't feel the need to earn her automatic tip. Overall I was disappointed in my birthday dinner. I won't be coming back here.

I'm leaving 2 stars in case this may have been an off night, and for this review not to be dismissed as one of those "I only left one star because I couldn't leave zero" posts that even I usually ignore. But with the amount of issues, this could easily be justified as a one-star review. When I arrived around 6:45-7:00 p.m. on a weeknight, the restaurant was completely empty. I didn't think much of it at the time, but afterward this seemed unusual for a barbecue restaurant in a state known for its BBQ. The first real issue was that one of our two-meat dinners was missing one of the meats. Next was that the brisket was extremely dry, even when soaked in barbecue sauce by them, and even more sauce added by me. The ribs had an acrid smoke flavor and a smell that resembled the odor more of cigarette smoke than even liquid smoke. I'm not accusing the cooks of smoking in the kitchen. In fact, research tells me, "An unpleasant, ashtray-like smell can come from dirty smoke (a poorly managed fire), excessive creosote, or meat that sat too long." With how empty the restaurant was, it could very well have been the latter. Sides: My son's fries were also missing. The sweet potato fries were significantly undercooked. The hush puppies' outer layer was a bit more solid than I'm used to, and several of us could not take more than one bite. However, this could have been due to personal taste. The potato salad and mac and cheese were just okay, but that could also be personal taste. We're the type of people that try to convince ourselves something is better than it actually is, which is why I sat on writing this until the day after. This is also why I'm not even going to attempt to ask for a refund. I don't see us ever going back to that area, nor that restaurant. I'm generally not a picky eater, but this was one of the few times where I could not take more than a few bites of anything. We were really looking forward to trying NC BBQ in NC, so this was a disappointing experience.
