You know... I know Korean culture is the new and hot fad and everyone wants a part of it but I absolutely abhor when it is abused and it's only used in title to draw people in for their money. This place is the equivalent to saying to Italians "Olive Garden is the most authentic Italian food" The first big red flag starting off was the fact they put parchment paper with BUTTER on top of the burner before even cooking the meat... you don't really put butter cause kbbq meat already is rich and should be delicious. The meat itself is not great. Very, very fatty and not good in quality. The cuts were cheap and they covered it with sugary seasoning. Very sweet in all their options. The best thing honestly was the garlic... and they came out as whole cloves. The sides are not great. None of it was appetizing as it was bland. Kimchi pancake is just pan fried dough. The kimchi is from a store bought jar (again too sweet) that seemed like no one wanted to so it's fermented to the max. The workers were on their phones the entire night and we had to flag them down for simple things like water refill and additional meat orderings. There were a total of 2 parties of 3 in the entire restaurant... at least come check on them frequently and change out brunt pan (parchment paper...) If you're actually looking for kbbq this is not it. If you want to go for their food because you think it's good and like it, no judgement here. Please enjoy. Coming to this area just to visit my friend who treated us. This is the only Korean BBQ in the area. My friend says they normally drive 1-1.5hrs away for Korean BBQ. Food: it's ok. Not a lot of selection to what we're used to in California. Kimchi was not really kimchi. Some of our favorites: Kimchi pancakes, fried chicken, rib-eye & short-ribs. Service: 5 stars! They were very friendly and constantly checked on us. Atmosphere: spacious and clean. It's pretty plain. read more

My wife and I went for dinner. We ordered from the Thai section of the menu and can report that the chicken & fried rice and the shrimp & fried rice are both excellent. Probably the best deal on the menu is the All You Can Eat offer at $36+change per person. Our server was great. She answered all of our questions; when she wasn't sure, she went to find out for us. Ambiance? Modern - booths with tables set up with a cook top for some of the "make it at your table" menu items. There's also some counter service. It's a welcome change of pace for Exeter Township from pizza, diner, and fast food burgers. Very much worth a try. I'm giving them a 5 because I couldn't find a reason to give them less. read more

Disappointing to say the least. I ordered takeout and our order was completely wrong. Pad Thai was not spicy, not even a little bit when I ordered the hot one. It didn't have a drop of spice. I never leave bad reviews. In fact if you look at my history, you'll only see a few low scores, most are 4s and 5s as I try to overlook most things. I'm not overlooking this tonight. I will say it was their grand opening yesterday , a fact I was unaware of, and our group probably would have waited a few months to try it had all of us been aware of how recently they opened. Some of our party arrived before us so we sat right down. A man brought us water... and then... nothing. We sat and nothing happened for quite a bit of time. Eventually a waitress came over and took our order. Our rather large order as there were 8 of us. Also as a side note, don't accept a reservation for 8 people if your tables only comfortably seat 6. The appetizers came out. They all tasted excellent. We asked for a corkscrew and wine glasses. They only have 5 wine glasses. If you're BYOB shouldn't you at least have the proper vessels? On the menu, there is a little blurb until the AYCE menu, that you have a time limit of 1 hour and 20 minutes when eating the AYCE. This is very important later. The meats all come out and we got a little bit of everything. Short rib. Spicy bulgogi. Shrimp. Squid. Pork Belly. Quite a few others. All of it was excellent. The food was all cooked by the diners at the table so it was also a fun interactive experience and everyone could cook the meats to their liking. Oh wait, forgot to mention, no one came over to show us how the table stoves worked, and the only advice we got was "I'd say 3-4 minutes to preheat you really want to hear the sizzle" We finished it up and we were ready for another round of meats. No waitress or waiter came over during any of the cooking process to see how the food was, or to clear plates (we wound up stacking them all on the queuing wall behind us as there was literally no room. A waitress came over, we ordered another round of meat... then nothing for awhile, eventually a woman came over and informed the table that we had exceeded the 1:20 time limit. After some back and forth she agreed to let us have another round. Her argument was that people were waiting for tables (there was a table behind us that had sat un-bussed for over a half hour) and there was no one at the door waiting. The conversation happened at 8 PM. At 8:45 we still had no second round of meat so we went to investigate and no one had any idea we had placed an order. THey wound up bringing out some rice (which we ordered and never got in the first round) and a few plates of meat (some of which we did not order, and some we did, so it seems like just panicked and brought things out). So the food is really good. The bulgogi is delicious and the spicy one does pack a punch. All the meats seasonings were fantastic and the flavors were bold. Cannot say anything bad about the food whatsoever. In fact it was some of the best tasting food I've had at a restaurant in awhile. If you are going to advertise AYCE with a time limit, your staff should be making sure to be there to help with reorders. At $35/head it's not super expensive, but it's not a cheap meal either. If you're short staffed, or suffering during the grand opening with getting all of your staff on the same page and making sure that you are perhaps extending the time limit a bit if a large table has only done one round. Some of the worst service I've ever received at a restaurant, and the more I think about it, we did all of the cooking ourselves so I'm not really sure why the wait times were so dreadful. The food is on point, the concept is neat, I will never come back to this location again as the service was evening ruining. We had a gathering of about fifty people, and we asked Julie, one of the owners, to help us out with our special occasion. She was absolutely fabulous to work with. She accommodated all of our needs including making sure vegetarians that were with us were taken care of. The food was superb and she provided extra touches throughout that were very thoughtful. Not only do you have to pay $36 for the all-you-can-eat, but you also have to cook everything yourself, and they give you zero seasonings, so every meat, vegetable, etc... is bland. Never returning P.S. the dumplings are frozen store bought ones. read more

The most unsanitary restaurant experience I've ever had. We did the all you can eat grill thing. They brought out the raw meat on wooden cutting boards on a cart. The raw meat was stacked on top of the cooked sides. When the server lifted the cutting board, she dripped raw juices all over the sides and still served them. The octopus and squid were fishy. The floors were dirty. The bathrooms were filthy. There is a whole buffet section of sauces and sides that in 2 hours sitting there, I never saw the staff look at, let alone replenish or replace. The grill was also barely warm enough to cook the meat. The one grill was sizzling while the other turned the meat oddly gray and took twice as long to get it to look edible. Service was only so-so. And to top it all off, we paid $30 per person for food that we cooked ourselves and didn't trust eating. Never ever going here again. read more

The food here is amazing but expensive and you don't get a lot of it. The service is also very good and the restaurant seems like a nice place to eat. They have tables where you can cook your own food and they have AYCE specials daily. Our favorite is the steak tacos. The dumplings are also very delicious. The chicken wings could use some for time in the fryer but the flavor profile is authentic and tasty. A family of 4 would likely spend $100 or more for a real meal (take out or eat-in). The bulgogi boxes are lower priced that the other menu items but they are snacks at best. Still if cost is not a deterrent, I highly recommend Bulgogi Korean BBQ. This is the only place in greater Reading where I've found real Korean BBQ worth revisiting. read more

We had the all you can eat K BBQ our first visit, which was delicious. We came back to try their thai food, which IMO is the best in Reading. The drunken noodles had the perfect spice level and was very flavorful, and the red curry tasted home made. The staff is so friendly and helpful, which is a bonus. Definitely worth a try! read more

i did the all you can eat bbq with appetizers and sides and it was def worth the price! (i did the cheapest option). the appetizers were the star of the show with fried rice and penang curry at the all you can eat bar which i was not expecting at all! it was so delicious i would've been fine eating just that! the gyozas to order were also delicious, and the meat and veggies were fun to cook! the service was so good as well as the staff was very friendly and patient with us as we've never been to korean bbq before. i will def be coming back to try some tteokbokki and thai food! read more

As a Korean in Berks county, I was hoping for an authentic Korean BBQ with all the side dishes "Banchan". The bulgogi and galbi were great! the kimchi and kimchi pancakes were not the best.
