I like this small business but let me tell you there is nothing small about their food. The food is always fresh and tasty and the owners are always going above and beyond. Even when they are super slammed they still make you feel welcome. I definitely have so much more I want to try so I will definitely be coming back. My husband and i decided too try this place out based on a recommendation we got. I AM SO GLAD WE DID. Great relaxed atmosphere and the owners/chefs were very welcoming. My husband got the Montgomery texas dog and it was very delicious with just the right amount of heat. I got a make your own dog with the bacon mac-n-cheese on it. Can you say amazing? We shared a trio basket that had fries and tator tots (both regular potato and sweet potato) they tasted amazing and were not greasy at all. To top off our dining experiance we has an old fashioned banana split. It was perfect and made me feel like a kid again. And if it couldn't get any better. BEST SWEAT TEA IN CONROE. A friend told my wife and I about this place so we decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did. We were greeted right away and found a seat right in front of the Astro's game, perfect! We told the owners this was our first time here and listened to his recommendations. We each ordered a hot dog and shared a sweet potato fry and tator tot basket. My son kept talking about eating at Buldogies. I didn't realize how good it was going to be. I got a hotdog that was amazing. The bread was delicious, it had a little sweetness to it. Was planning to dine in, however upon entering before viewing the menu I searched for available seating in which they had two long tables and a TV tray size table for two. The only available table was a table for six that had a sign that said you must have four or more to sit here. We were a party of three. No other party was waiting and it perturbed me that we could not be accommodated due to bad management policy that will refuse the business of a medium size party. In the kind of way, where, you know you screwed up and you are looking for someone to blame that isn't you, but you can't escape the bloated, nauseas reality that it was no one else's fault that you have to unbuckle your pants and wait for a slow hotdog death. I can not rave enough about Buldoggies Fun western theme decor, staff is wonderful. Always feel welcome and that the staff truly does appreciate their customers. Gets busy so sometimes there is a bit of a wait for food, cant fault them for having a popular cuisine. It could take 15-20 minutes to get your food but the wait is so worth it. Menu is pretty unique. They offer top quality hot dogs, Nathan's or Hebrew National, use Boars Head meats also, so you know they dont skimp on quality of ingredients. They offer amazing fried treats normally only available at fairs, funnel cakes, fried twinkies, oreos and more. Asked for a overcooked burned hotdog and they made it perfectly for me. I would like to see the option of Boarshead deli hotdogs but that is nowhere near a deal breaker for me. I hope the owners are prosperous and stay a long time at this location.
