My experience today at the UPS store in Napa was perhaps the most appalling customer service…read moreexperience in my life. I was previously treated unprofessionally by one of the employees when dropping off a UPS shipment. Again today, the same employee spoke to me in a disrespectful and condescending manner as I was dropping the packages for pickup by UPS. I am a 65 year old man and the employee is probably in his mid 20s. Inappropriate for any employee who is supposed to be representing the UPS brand to order a much older person to do something without a please. I looked at him, incredulous that he would behave so impolitely. He maintained his hostile stare so I reminded him that I was a customer, not someone who worked for him. It was at this time that the second employee, a statuesque black woman probably in her late 30s got involved. She said loudly "it' always the same s**t with you. Those packages aren't going out today. You can take them somewhere else." I again stared, incredulous. Things escalated with her telling me to "get the f**k out, bitch" and my telling her that she was a rude cow. She even advanced toward me to suggest that she was going to assault me. I took my packages back to my van and to the UPS store at the north side of town where I dropped them (in a very busy waiting area without incident.) I also took photos of both employees. Tomorrow I will be looking into who owns that UPS franchise and contacting that person as well as filing a complaint with the UPS customer care and lodging a complaint about Store #4516. Stay away if you have any sense. The inmates are running the asylum.

The best packaging of framed art that we have ever seen!…read more We took seven, large, framed images to Cartons & Crates where 18-yr-old Matt, who has been trained to pack like the pros, accepted our assignment -- to package up the art and ship it 1,000 miles to Seattle. The art arrived in two days (Thank You, UPS!) and as we unwrapped our framed works, we got the sense that Matt's packaging skills were equally as good as the artists' skills whose work we had shipped. Matt's handiwork is a thing of beauty; we have packed and shipped a lot of art in our life, but Matt's work surpassed anything we've seen before. If you have anything of value that you want shipped -- take it to Cartons & Crates and ask for Matt to wrap and ship it for you. Shipping doesn't get any better than this.

She sent me the pages to itemize my shipment ahead of time so that I could just bring everything to the store. I just want to give a shout out to the female employee who worked at this location on Saturday…read moreAugust 1st. When I arrived at 2:15 there was a notice on the door saying that "due to staffing issues they will reopen at 2:30.... sorry for the inconvenience" I decided to wait in my car until they reopened. At 2:30, there were about 5 people waiting outside. Since a couple of them knew I had been there waiting, they let me go in ahead of them which I appreciated. The gal working there apologized for having to close and that she was there by herself all day and needed to take a break and have some lunch. She handled everything with such professionalism and grace that she deserves to be acknowledged for being such a good employee. Sorry this is so long but these days it's rare that I find someone who deserves a pat on the back.

Shout out to Staples for their print and copy station. Their locations have gotten me out of a…read morequick bind when I've needed something printed in a flash, and this one is no different. Right down the street from my place? The only thing that could be more convenient is having a printer at my own place that never runs out of ink. And they always do, at some point. If you need to print while on the road or in a pinch, go to your nearest Staples. You can print from email or flash drives, and scan documents that will get sent to email (yours or someone else's). You can even choose the type of paper you print out on, depending on the type of project you need to accomplish. Need to fax an important document? Doable. Print out some pieces for your portfolio? Also doable. I haven't had much interaction with the staff here, but I've noticed they're always friendly when I've come in (and I come in with a purpose), and that's all that matters. Thanks, Staples! You the real MVP.

I have been doing print services at Staples for my business for over 20 years. The process in the…read moreold days was to send a print request via email. I would write my instructions for printing, IE: "Please print 100 copies of the attachment, one sided, on three hole punch paper". I tried this recently as I was out of important instruction pamphlets. When I went in to pick up the order, they said I had to send the request to one of the printers for customer use. The girl behind the print counter gave me her best guess at IP address of the printer to send a print job to. Absolutely made ZERO sense. I tried to see if I could figure out what she was talking about. Nope! Back in line at the print counter. Now the young lady is SUPER frustrated with my stupidity. At this point I should mention that everyone else at the print counter was struggling with missing or incorrect orders. Now the girl calls over a supervisor who tells us to go back home and place our orders on the website. I was in the middle of my work day so I didn't have time to do that. At home I could not figure it out, so I called the printing department to have them walk me through how to upload attachments and get them sent for printing. The girl behind the counter had no idea how to do it and told me that she didn't have time to help me. I tried several times to print off of the website, and several times went into the store to find the order wasn't there. Then the girl asks if I am sending my order to the right store. I DON'T KNOW!! Staples hates customers that need customer service.

The staff is very helpful with any actual printing concerns and I have often used the very and I mean very reasonably priced office space they have in the back, which consists of several desks, a nice office, and a conference room that I have seen other lawyers do mediations within.
