6:40p on Wednesday night, not a clean table in sight
    Coral S.

This place really is hit or miss. 5:20p on a Saturday: no Guinness, no Hooter Brown, no soap in bathroom. Ordered onion rings, 3 rings and a pile of pieces. Lacks pride in presentation. Menu has fine bolded font with loads of white space, hard to read in the dark w/o flashlight. Food tastes good, experience not so great. ‍

Ordered a simple large order of Tots an hour ago and still have not received them. Horrible service. Better go to McDonalds instead.

R&R at Hotel Indigo in Tallahassee, FL…read more Stayed a couple nights at Hotel Indigo on a work trip and naturally ended up at R&R more than once because: location, location, location. Easy access plus a bar meant repeat visits. Let's start with the GOODS the drinks! I stopped in to the bar multiple times and the cocktails are where they shined for me. Ryan the bartender - WOW next level. Superb! Knows his stuff, and made every drink a hit for me. My top pick? The Juju, hands down my favorite. But I also got a sneak peek of a new drink coming to their seasonal menu called the Lily Pad, and OMG mmmmmm. So good. Bright, refreshing, well-balanced. Totally check out my photos for that one. Now... about breakfast. It's a No for me. Enough. I had the Nashville Honey Chicken Biscuits and they are a FAIL, a No. Dry, sad, biscuits with fried frozen chicken nugget in it and not worth $16. It's an embarrassment to the establishment. The Cortado, also a miss!... but it was coffee and I needed to get going to work. R&R, please rethink breakfast: 100% did not meet the price point. Skip breakfast or walk across the street, there's a bagel shop. The hotel indigo is really cute and I'll probably write a review about that on a separate, the place is overall cute, but there's very limited food places around the hotel. So in conclusion, I will give you an extra star for the convenience and the bar. After my experience for breakfast, I did not care to come here for food at all anymore. Expensive cheap food. Just because they're helped by a great bar and a beautiful hotel and a great location..

It was good to stop in and try them again. I brought my wife and son on this trip. We shared an order of the Philly fries. It was so fresh and crisp. I would recommend this place to anyone in Tallahassee looking for a Philly cheesesteak.

The ambiance was cool. It's a sports bar. Small, but I could easily see myself watching a game in there. Now, the cheesesteak was good. I would probably get a sturdier cheese the next time. The cheese whiz was so liquidy that it was all over the wrapper. I usually like messy sandwiches, but this one couldn't stay together. Not even three bites in the whole thing ripped in half. The onion rings were disappointing. They were pretty dark and were soft and doughy when they cooled down. I barely ate one and won't order them again. I will try this spot again for the sandwich and maybe I'll try the fries next time.

While it may not reinvent the wheel, it delivers on what matters: tasty chicken, fast service, and a decent overall value--at least as far as today's quick-serve prices go. I grabbed the kids meal (yep, no shame), which came with 2 tenders, fries, and a drink for about $6-$7. Surprisingly, it was just the right amount of food, especially given how pricey fast food is getting lately. The chicken had a satisfying batter--crispy but not greasy--and their Cajun ranch sauce was a standout. Fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, but they did the job. The staff were kind and efficient, staying low-key even while the place was packed. The dining area was busy, but the drive-thru was clearly the main event. If you're looking for a quieter experience, dining in might actually be your better bet. Despite the name "Slim Chickens," don't come here expecting a bunch of healthy options--it's more in the Zaxby's, Guthrie's, or Chick-fil-A realm: comforting, fried, and familiar. All in all, it's another solid option for fried chicken in a town that definitely doesn't need another, but I'm not complaining. Just hoping my wallet can keep up if I keep eating out like this.

Awesome Lunch For…read more$11.49 I had a very delicious lunch from Slim Chickens #2 located at 2329 Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee. I've been driving by this restaurant for the last 6 months, but today I decided to give them a try for lunch and I'm glad I did. The parking lot was cleaned with ample parking and the outside of the building, including the outdoor dining area, was very clean. The beautiful well-designed lobby, including the front counter and self-serve fountain drink area, was also clean. Not a sports bar, but there's several TVs positioned in the lobby for entertainment while dining enjoying your meal. Customer service was awesome and placing my order was a breeze with a well-positioned menu that was easy to read and understand. The wait time to receive my order was about 3 - 5 minutes. I ordered the new 10 Piece Tender Bites Meal with fries, Texas toast, and a drink served with my choice of two house dipping sauces: barbeque sauce and honey mustard sauce. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and served hot. The chicken, which was large for bites was tender, moist, juicy and had great flavor. The toast and fries were also hot and very good. I'm used to dining at Chick fil A when I want nuggets or tenders, but I may have a found my new dining option while working in Tallahassee.

There are lots of pool tables; some are coin-op and others you rent. Depending on which table you're playing at, you might not be close to a TV monitor. There are a number of big screens inside, but nearly enough that they should be calling themselves a sports bar in my opinion. The bar is OK and the staff were pleasent enough. I tried their deep friend mushrooms. They were actually pretty good! But heads up. This place charges a mandatory gratuity of 18% on all orders with the exception of visitors coming in early M-Th. Add that on top of already high prices and you're in pretty deep. Advice: in Florida (and most states), paying mandatory gratuity charges are not actually required (or legal) and they cannot force you to pay it. If you're dissatisfied with your service, you can line out the mandatory gratuity and put in whatever you feel is appropriate. However, I've also heard that it may be legal as long as it is posted...which it was. I would have rated another star higher had it not been for the mandatory gratuity...which is the highest I've ever run into in my travels. As a single traveler, I don't feel the overall price was reasonable. So I won't be back.

I tried to get another table but was told other tables were already reserved. So we decided to stop complaining to ourselves and just go with it. That was the ONLY major negative experience at Table 23. Other smaller negatives were ice water from the machine that tasted like the plastic devices it came out of. We requested tap water and it was promptly served and solved that problem. Our waiter did a fabulous job and he was always moving fast to his tables. Sometimes though it took him a while to attend to our needs but that really wasn't his fault. That waiter was A+. I think the restaurant needs another waiter to spread the workload a bit. My wife ordered a Bees Knees drink and it was delicious, almost like a dessert. I drank my usual beer. We ordered Okra and Gorgonzola chips which were quite interesting. For our entrees, my wife ordered the flounder and I ordered redfish. Both dishes were beautiful in presentation but even mores in taste. The flounder came with a sauce that had lemon in it and it was 100% delicious, as was the flounder. My redfish came sitting in the middle of a generous serving of fabulous, delicious creamy grits. After my first bite of that fish and those grits, I knew I had hit a jackpot and thanked my good fortune in ordering it. And for a dessert we choose a shared flourless chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. visually it was just beautiful and the richness of chocolate and flavor was absolutely out of this world. We are looking forward to our next visit to Table 23 and it will be tempting to order the same things but the menu has many wonderful choices. What a fantastic delimma.
