If you're a student, there is a $2 discount off of lunch and dinner plates from noon to 5pm. There is a $1.50 charge for using a card, though. I got the Stewed Chicken dinner plate with Mashed Potatoes and Corn Casserole as my 2 sides. It's a bit of a wait for the food, but it looked like there were only two people running the whole operation by themselves. Everything comes out in a to-go box, but there is seating and TV entertainment available. The moment the stewed chicken entered my mouth I was in love with the flavor. It's a bit too salty but goes really well with the yellow rice, which was recommended to me by the lady at the counter. They didn't skimp on the stew broth either! I love when there's potato skin in my mashed potatoes but I wish they were a little creamier, and the corn casserole was really sweet which complimented the chicken stew really well. The only part of my meal that I wasn't a huge fan of was the cornbread, which was really dry. My friend Marley got Fried Chicken which took longer to come out, and when she ate her corn nuggets she said, "That's a good corn nugget." I tried one too and it was indeed a good corn nugget. Now, my hubby doesn't like anything with coffee, so he was worried about the hickory smoked chicken with espresso molasses BBQ sauce. As for the pancetta Mac 'n' Cheese, its creamy cheesiness balanced out the smokiness of the chicken. Chef Joseph often offers one of his Pot de Crème varieties to finish a meal.
