Perfect spot for a date night. The lighting is soft and romantic, and the small number of tables gives it a cozy, private feel. The chef's menu is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. There are good vegetarian choices too, and the grouper is a standout. Service is top-notch from start to finish.

We went to celebrate a special birthday. The food was good and the atmosphere made for a casual vibe which was nice because we had kids with us. The service was surprisingly slow considering we had one of the first booked tables of the evening and our drinks didn't arrive until after our appetizers so that was a little disappointing. The server was super forgetful and we had to keep reminding him of things such as taking away dishes since we had a full table. I feel like servers should be aware of these kinds of things. We even had a side dish of veggies that were forgotten and should have came with our entrée. Overall, we probably wouldn't go back and try a different spot but we came since the reviews were fantastic. A few of us at the table are Yelp Elite members and maybe our standards are a little bit higher for restaurants with these reviews. Parking was easy and the staff was kind but it was one too many delays in service that really hindered our experience.

My friend and I had a nice Thursday night dinner here. Lucilla doesn't look like much from the outside, but it has a nice ambiance inside. Our server was attentive and super friendly. We ordered the pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer and those were very yummy. For our entrees, I got the mushroom and eggplant pasta and my friend got the bronzed grouper. The grouper was better than the pasta in my opinion. We got the pineapple pound cake for dessert, which was definitely sweet and dense. You could taste that butter! I'd like to go back to try one of their wine pairing dinners!

Go! Delicious food. Flavors are all there. Lots of options, fresh ingredients , and nice staff. I want to go back for sure.

We went to Lucilla without a reservation and the hostess graciously sat us at the last available table. I started with one of their canned beers and my fiancé got a sweet tea and Prosecco. They have a great variety of beers and wines that we liked. We ordered the pimiento cheese fritters which came with a mango glaze and were delicious! The appetizer came as fast as we finished them! For dinner, I ordered the special which was some kind of snapper with mashed potatoes and sweet potato ribbons. The overall meal was good, but the plate was overwhelmed with the sweet potato ribbons which took away from the flavor. My fiancé ordered a chicken dish which he said was very delicious! Our main courses took a while to come out, but it was a busy night, so we completely understood! All in all, exceptional dinner!

Went to Lucilla on Christmas Eve and it was so great! Nice place, great service and really good food! We started with pimento cheese fritters with bourbon peach glaze. Very good! We all had fish, 2 of us the grouper, 1 blackened mahi, and 1 miso salmon. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted outstanding! We had the lemon crème brûlée which was very good, but the toffee white chocolate brownie with the salted caramel sauce whipped cream was the star of the dessert show! We also saw a local celebrity there! They only have beer and wine, but we had a delicious grapefruit wine spritzer. Would definitely recommend this place!

Pimiento Cheese Fritters Food was good, however I wasn't a fan of either of the desserts. I didn't like the pumpkin pie crème brûlée at all, but the bread pudding was alright. Took my fiancé here for his birthday and we had a reservation but when we got there is was super loud inside I guess because they were full and it's a small space so I asked if we could sit outside thankfully there were tables available cause it was so loud I'd probably have to yell across the table to be heard. My steak was a little undercooked but still good. Pretty expensive for portion size but that's any fancy spot in Tallahassee.

I have never been to Lucilla, although I've heard great things over the years. My party of 6 was sat promptly on a Friday night after making a reservation. I would encourage to email for a reservation, trying to get someone over the phone was a bit tricky. The food and service was stellar. The atmosphere was quaint. Depending on where you sit you can look directly into the kitchen. That may not be for everyone, so just FYI. I had the grouper and it was soooo good! The mashed potatoes were among the best I've ever had. I didn't love the pecans on the dish. But overall very enjoyable. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. My husband had the salmon, I think he felt it was overpriced for what it was. But this is a fine dining restaurant. My gf had a pasta dish which I think I liked. I also always appreciate a good warm bread basket. Our waitress was attentive and delightful. I'm still sticking to knocking off a star for maskless/gloveless wait staff.

We came to visit a local university and saw the reviews for Lucilla...based on the 5 stars we had to stop by. This is a small and quaint restaurant with super friendly servers. The menu is small and straight to the point. We ordered the bread for two, crab cakes, shrimp/grits, along with the miso salmon. All were presented beautifully and tasted amazing! Can't wait to go back!

It's very bland, too much arugula on stuff. Service was nice though. Not enough space, very close to other people.

This place is one of the very best restaurants I have experienced in my eastern travels. Check out…read morethe inventiveness of the menu and know that the chef delivers on each dish: beautifully presented with complex flavorings. All six dishes we got were great. If I have to name only one, it's the escargot! At first, I was nonplussed about the lack of cocktails, but got over that as soon our awesome waiter -- I think his name was Mark -- brought a tasty Japanese pale ale.

Imagine this: you decide to try out a wine bar for their charcuterie! You arrive and the storefront…read morelooks like a ABC store. "Okay, you think, maybe this is a hole in the wall." You sit down with a dear friend and order their charcuterie board. $28 dollars for a two-person meat and cheese board. You wait in anticipation for your charcuterie to arrive while sipping on a $7 dollar bottle of sparkling water (which you learn later sells online for $1-$4). After not too long (thankfully), your waiter brings you the worst charcuterie board in Tallahassee. You need a numbered list to describe how bad it is. 1. There is barely any food on the board. 5 types of cheese, 3 types of meat, two types of crackers, three fruits, and olives. Sounds like a lot, right? Nope. Everything resembles remnants of cheese, meat, olives, and fruit leftovers salvaged from the can. 2. Each cheese offering is 3-4 "elementary school pizza party" slices, where about three of the slices equated to a single slice on a regular charcuterie board. You barely get enough cheese between two people to form an opinion on the cheese's taste, let alone be able to use the cheese knife provided to you. 3. When asking about the minuscule amount of cheese (just in case there was a hiccup in the kitchen), the waiter tells you that everything is measured out by weight. Also proceeds to tell you a story that other guests have also asked why there is so little cheese as a humorous anecdote. Also tells you about the best cheeses that are not on your board. 4. You receive similar tiny amounts of meat, crackers, and fruit, including one (n=1) bruised and small sliced strawberry, eight to ten (n=8-10) grapes on a stem, and two (n=2) wafer-thin slices of apple (both of which are dipped into the olives' juices contained in the plastic black condiment cup). 5. The crackers are not homemade. There're not enough crackers for the little bit of cheese you do get. One of the two cracker types is fried and tastes a bit like old oil. 6. All meats are fatty deli-type meats. Awful. 7. One of your cheeses and one of your meats are spicy with no warning or offered substitutes. 8. Your 8-10 grapes are noticeably squishy, bruised, and old-looking. When asked about them, the waiter tells you they look that way because they are "vine-ripened Tempranillo grapes." You (as in I) have had fresh Tempranillo grapes before. These are not Tempranillo grapes--they look like red grapes from your local grocery store. TLDR: Terrible charcuterie board for ants that costs you $28. You shamefully have to pay by QR code and leave hungry. If you want a delightful charcuterie experience, visit Hummingbird Wine Bar or Bar 1903. Both places have delicious charcuterie boards with larger portions and great prices.

A restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived. We went inside, but let the server know we were gonna sit outside. Several minutes passed and menus were delivered. It took several more minutes for the server to return and take our order. I have to say the food is worth the price of admission! We ordered enough options so that we could take home leftovers for the next day's lunch. We ordered the chorizo tacos, served, and softshell flour tortillas. They must've been baked slightly because they had a little bit of structure to them. There is ample chorizo in each taco. Delicious! We also ordered an arepa, empanadas, tostones, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, plated individually, and tasted wonderful. My question the reason we don't visit this restaurant more often. We were glad to visit and we plan to return!
