Lychee Vodka Cocktail (forgot the name)

Wow. I spent my last evening in Tallahassee at the Huntsman and that was a great decision. I was not expecting much as I had tried il Lusso a couple weeks before dining here and did not have high hopes for fine dining in the area. This place blew me out the water. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the crab cake, elk tataki, and oysters. The crab cake had very little filling and was mainly crab. The garnishes and sauce was a perfect compliment to the meat. The elk tataki was asian inspired and was ABSOLUTELY amazing. I almost ordered a second serving. The oysters were very good and had great flavor with the toppings it was served with. I was getting pretty full from the appetizers so I opted for the 5oz A5 Wagyu for my entree with no sides. I asked for medium rare and that is what I got. The crust on the steak was perfect. For drinks, I got the 24k gold and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The 24k gold was interesting but I mistakenly did not read all the ingredients and did not enjoy the carrot flavor very much. The sugar plum drink was very good with the vodka and lychee. To finish off the meal, we ordered creme brulee and it had a nice top crust. No complaints. Highly highly recommend you check this place out if you're in Tally.

I was in town last weekend and stopped in with my husband for happy hour which they have everyday at the bar from 5-6 pm. We got small bites and drinks! The bites were delicious! My favorite was the fish dip, followed by the burger bites with quail egg, and lastly the duck nugget which were okay, a bit dry but paired with the sauce it was good. For drinks my husband had the old fashion and stuck with that and I had the porch swing and a mai tai. They have a dinner menu as well. The service was phenomenal. I was told they rotate their happy hour and regular menus every 3 months and keep some staple options. The ambiance was chill, great for a date or catching up with friends.

Our waiter, Payne, was just extraordinary! Very knowledgeable about the menu items, the cocktails and the history of the restaurant and owners. The restaurant ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Service was five star. Everything Payne suggested was spot on! The ribeye and lobster selection was perfect for me. The tallow biscuits and bread were also delicious. The greens had a duck reduction sauce and were tasty and the creamy mac n cheese was yummy . To end the meal, the crème brûlée was my choice and was delicious! Payne took our valet ticket and we walked straight out to our waiting vehicle. Our first time visiting here to celebrate an early Mother's Day and everything was perfect!

We didn't have a reservation but were able to sit right away. This spot is really unassuming but it's so cute. Our server greeted us right away after being sat and went over the menu and how it is laid out. We ordered a few starters and an entree each. The mid course fresh bread with herb butter was awesome. For starters we got the oysters, octopus and pierogis. The oysters come with 4, they had a nice balance of flavor, definitely yummy. The octopus was so tender, the potato salad was good but I definitely demolished the octopus with that herb salad and left some of the potato salad behind. The pierogis had a few different sauces to choose from, we really enjoyed them with the chimichurri but all the sauces were good. For our meals I went with the duck and it was really good and the sides really rounded out the dish. My husband got a bison ribeye and broccolini and he really enjoyed both. The bison ribeye came with herbed butter and a red wine reduction. The char and whipped ricotta on the broccolini was a really nice touch. We were much too full to order dessert but the menu had some really nice options. They have an automatic 18% gratuity that is explained via a piece of paper with the bill but the service we received was worth that and more.

Great food, atmosphere, wine list and service. What more could you ask? And valet parking to boot!

The place is very modern, southern, and great! The food was excellent, my family and I all got cuts of meat from all sorts of animals. I got a wagyu Denver steak which was very fatty and oily. Just like a normal wagyu steak. However they do add a solid piece of butter on top the steak when served which made it extra buttery. The service was as well super amazing. Just great southern hospitality! Overall a great place to eat!

We had an absolutely delightful anniversary dinner here on a Friday evening. It was easy to schedule the reservation and we were seated promptly once I arrived. Luis was our server and took amazing care of us. I couldn't even drop a crumb on the table without him coming to make sure our dining area remained spotless. Now onto the Food. I really enjoyed the crabcake it was large and flavorful. I had the duck gnocchi entrée and it was savory, but not my favorite. My hubby ordered the grouper and I would say I preferred his entrée over mine. We were also both very pleased with the portion sizes, especially for a fine dining establishment. We were too full to try a true dessert, but I did have a dessert cocktail to close out the night. I had the "Amar You Up." While it was evident it was crafted beautifully. It was just OK for my tastebuds. I learned I am definitely a traditional espresso martini gal. The Mai Thai I think is my favorite cocktail on the menu, based on what I've tried so far. I also enjoyed a couple of appetizers at my first visit to just check out their happy hour. Kumi took amazing care of me. I had two appetizers (sliders and duck nuggets) and the bread pudding and left filling lovely and satisfied.

Get the antelope. The antelope is so ridiculously tender. I don't know how that's possible with such a lean meat, but it melts in your mouth and it is better than the ribeye, by a long shot. I know because I got the ribeye and my wife got the antelope. The ribeye is good, but not spectacular. I would highly recommend exploring when you visit here. Go against your norm and you will not be disappointed! Service here was really good. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The vibe at this place is cool too. I haven't been to Tallahassee since this location was cypress, and I thought I would be disappointed it was gone, but amazingly I'm not - considering this place is its replacement. I would travel back to Tallahassee just to eat here again.

Nice eatery for the exotic meat person in your life. My party didn't fit that bill, but there were plenty of other options for us and we didn't go hungry! Service was on point and everything we had was delicious! We had the pork chop, the chick pea vegetarian option, the pasta, and the fish dishes. Cocktails were great, come for happy hour before 6 where a lot of them are half price! Complimentary valet, as there is no parking in their small lot.

The Wine Dinner with Château Mercier, Côtes de Bourg did not disappoint! Incredible conversations, tasty dishes, and top-notch wine pairings. Consistently one of the best restaurants in town. Our server and sommelier, Cameron, didn't skip a beat.

We heard about The Huntsman and had to opportunity to make a reservation on our way through. What a fantastic place! Nick our server, took great care of us. He made some great suggestions and our food was more than delicious. A great environment. Very cozy and warm dining room. Appetizers. French onion soup. Delicious Oysters, fantastic Zucchini fries (perfect flavor) my choice Mains A5 Japanese Wagyu (perfect) Filet mignon. Amazing, tender. Both steak options cooked perfectly) Duck. Amazing. If you like duck I recommend this dish. It was a hearty dish for sure. A flavor bomb. Sides. Fries and mashed potatoes. Great Brussels sprouts amazing Broccolini great. The bread was fresh and chewy. Desserts Bread pudding OMG! Creme Brûlée. Really good but not your traditional dish. Flavors were great but I prefer to not depart from the original versions. All in all a true 5 star dining experience. Well worth the money. A side note is the complimentary valet.

I was pleased to find that Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille was listed on Uber Eats as I searched for…read morerestaurants while visiting the city of Tallahassee. And its 4.4-star rating out of 600+ via Uber Eats was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu of Harry's, I took interest in and ended up ordering their fried grouper sandwich with Harry's collard greens, and a key lime pie, which both were items I had an interest in trying while visiting the city of Tallahassee. Whether it be Grubhub or now Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Much praise to the Uber Eats delivery driver, Dezi, for arriving with my order at a reasonable time, as well as meeting me in front of the hotel. And Dezi also confirmed that it was me grabbing the order, which I cannot thank her so much for. Once I retrieved my order, it was so hard to not smell it inside of the elevator while heading up to my hotel room. First, I want to say that I was satisfied with the presentation of what I ordered. However, I was not satisfied with the way it was placed inside of the bag, which led to the collard greens leaking slightly, and the cream of the lime pie being splattered around the container. Now my mouth salivated prior to taking my first bite of the grouper sandwich, which appeared big! It could have easily turned into the only meal I ate for the evening and I was not complaining about that. It tasted just as good as it appeared with the addition of tartar sauce which I put a whole glob of it on, tehehe. The grouper sandwich made me forget about the way my food was placed inside of the bag. After letting the grouper sandwich settle off my taste buds, I went for the collard greens, which I enjoyed outside of picking out the chunks of meat! There was a point while eating the collard greens, I said to myself "This is good!". If you love collard greens as much as I do, then I recommend Harry's collard greens, but keep in mind that it has meat chunks inside of it. Now, I saved the best for last, which was the key lime pie! Mm... It was basically a cheesecake in the form of lime pie! And oh my was it tasty! I would be lying if I said that I left some crumbs behind because it sure was satisfying. Okay, Harry's you have won over this traveler from the Midwest. Being that I had a great ordering experience, I would surely order from Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille again whether it be Uber Eats delivery or takeout whenever visiting the city of Tallahassee. Service: 4 | Ambiance: N/A | Food: 5 | Overall rating: 4 ~ Keep moving Forward ~ Thomas G
