Wanted something before I caught my flight from Tallahassee and Yelped my way here. I pulled-up at an odd time and wasn't sure the place was open. Was greeted, as I expect from Tallahassee hospitality, and kindly led through the place's food and beer options. I ordered the very generous "sampler". You're looking at the turkey link and chorizo. I wish for a three (half-link) option as there are so many good choices. I am a French fry snob. I judge a burger by its fries and learned I do the same for links. Why coated? Why? A well-fried, plain potato with a bit of salt and pepper is all that's needed up against these links. I'm crying, foul! The mac & cheese was okay. There is a kale salad, but I'd love coleslaw. I don't know why this place isn't packed with frat boys and their partners. Perhaps a couple more tvs? Perhaps a beer & link combo? A student discount? I will definitely visit this place again. They just opened not long ago this February. First time trying out them out. The staff was nice and accommodating. I ordered two classic beef hot dogs, and their bratwurst on a toasted pretzel bun. The ambiance was alright. They have outdoor seating which is great on a nice sunny spring day to have a toasted brat. Overall my experience here for a work lunch was pretty good. They also make their own sausages and sell them by the pound. Pretty sizeable sausage for multiple uses. This is a good place to get away from the usual fast food. read more

Link Sausages & Beer restaurant opened recently in Midtown Tallahassee. My dining companion and I weren't sure where to park. We parked across the street only to realize that there is ample parking behind the restaurant itself. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. This is a walk up counter order and they bring the food to your table situation. While the weather was still pleasant, my dining companion and I ate at a table outside. What made this restaurant unique to me was they make their sausages in-house. There are 9 sausages to choose from. If you go at the right time, and I'm not sure when that is, you can purchase fresh sausage to take home and cook yourself! We ordered the sausage sampler entree. It included 2 sausages and two side items with a signature sauce. My dining companion and I thought this would be the most economical way to try two sausages and two side items. We were disappointed to see that there are no buns served with these sausages. Granted, the menu does not specify that this entree will be served with buns. So be forewarned if you decide to order this option. All Link's signature sausage dogs come with various buns as noted in the menu description for each item. Why the plate of 2 didn't, was a bit of a mystery to me. We opted for the Kielbasa and Chorizo with baked beans and mac and cheese for our side items and the Roasted Garlic Aoli for the dipping sauce. My dining companion and I both enjoyed the baked beans and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was thick and the sauce clung to the macaroni. It was delicious! We would order both again! The menu also features burgers and salads, so there is something for everyone, including a vegan dog. We enjoyed the meal well enough that we want to return, but will opt to order individual sausages next time. read more

Went last night and had a fantastic bratwurst on a pretzel roll. I actually make my own at home, and while their grind is quite fine, I found the flavors to be quite good. I also got the onion rings which weren't all that special. read more

This was my first visit. I purchased one "all beef classic" pack and one turkey with spinach. I was planning to cook them at home. They had neither available but what I requested was packaged while I waited. I really appreciateed their efforts here. In doing some research on the all beef dogs it was mentioned that these were not made in house and they were probably Sahlens, Chicago Beef, or Feltman's of Coney Island. The point of this review is that once again while having a good quality product, the point of having such is to concentrate on that key product and avoid the other things that take away from that product (i.e. burgers). While potentially great hotdogs could be served there, I don't see that happening soon. Tallahassee isn't a hotdog town and I don't ever see this changing. read more

First time here and we'll definitely be back! I had the Italian sausage with andouille and a side of mac and cheese -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The seasonal beer was great, I'm not even a huge beer drinker, and the sides were hearty without being heavy. The staff were super friendly and attentive, checking on us multiple times even though we were sitting outside. Great location , great atmosphere, super clean and i love the LED signs. Amazing beer menu!! Didn't expect to have so many options with beer and hard ciders from all over the place. If you can't pick them you can do a beer flight which i think is totally worth it for the price. The chorizo sausage was absolutely amazing! 10/10 recommend. My friends got the italian sausage and she was very pleased as well. The mac and cheese was a great addition! I don't really like beer that much but I had the Pineapple Cider and it was delicious!!! I would give our experience six stars if I could. EVERYTHING was fantastic! I opted for the breakfast specialty dog with a side of fries. My husband got a sampler platter of kielbasa, bratwurst, onion rings, and mac n cheese and was kind enough to share a few bites with me. If I had to pick a favorite, I don't know how I would choose. One thing I wish they had was a combo option for the specialty dogs. Look forward to returning and trying more of their menu items. read more

We visited LINK Sausages and Beer for the first time and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the bratwurst on a pretzel bun with a side of potato salad, my wife had the Italian sausage with onion rings, and my daughter went with the classic hot dog and fries. Since it was our first visit, we all sampled each other's meals. The bratwurst was the standout winner--flavorful and perfectly complemented by the pretzel bun. The hot dog was also very good, and while the Italian sausage was a little too spicy for my wife, I found it nicely seasoned with just the right amount of kick. The sides were excellent all around. The onion rings and fries were crisp and fresh, and the potato salad was delicious--probably one of the best I've had in a while. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it a great spot for either a casual sit-down meal or a quick but satisfying lunch during the work week. Warmly greeted us, gave us an overview about the restaurant and the menu. Ordered a beer she suggested and it was great. Light Pilsner. For entrees we ordered a bratwurst on pretzel roll, an Italian sausage on rustic roll. Asked if the beer battered onion rings were in-house or frozen - frozen. Opted for the baked potato salad. Got our orders. The brat was different. As it made and smoked onsite, the texture wasn't what we'd expected - (the Johnsonville style) rather it was more of a processed texture. Tasty, with a small amount of kraut, cheese and stone ground mustard. The Italian was delicious. Nicely spiced with grilled onions and peppers with some cheese. The roll was tender with a nice crust. We both liked this one! The potato salad was delicious. The couple sitting close by had ordered the same items as us - they were from the Midwest and agreed- Bratwurst texture wasn't what they expected and the Italian was really good. We paid our bill. Complimented the manager. Inquired about dessert - a cookie or blondie would be good. We will return - I'll try the Spanish style Chorizo with grilled pineapple. read more
