The food was decent, I was very happy with my tacos. The buffalo cauliflower was mildly disappointing. We ate outside today and the weather was perfect! The service was slow but we were okay with that since we were watching a game on the tv for a while. This is a good spot for a few beers and traditional American style food! read more

Brass tap is usually a great place to hangout with friends. Has always treated us well, but this most recent visit was different. Drinks were fine but we could tell our bartender didn't know how to make the cocktail we ordered. We could see him asking for direction from a fellow bartender who seemed quite drunk while working. Their outside seating had always been a treat but tonight they seemed to have forgotten cushions on the chairs. Small details but deterred us from enjoying the outdoors. Usually Brass Tap is a great place to go with friends and be social, but a sad experience this visit read more

Great selection of beers and ciders including tons of non-alcoholic options! Pizzas are great and queso is delish. The service is always very good and employees are very friendly. Thursday nights karaoke is super fun and they have a great selection of live music on saturdays. Mule mondays are my favorite!! Music is always fun and lighting gives the inside a great ambiance. The patio is absolutely gorgeous during the day and sunset. My favorite bar in midtown by far!! read more

The Brass Tap - Beer Bar Near Me - Tallahassee, Florida

The service really sets this place apart from the other bars in Tallahassee. Our bartender was absolutely wonderful! She gave us samples to try, answered all our questions, and made sure we were all set throughout. I got a beer on tap and my fiance got the house wine. The beer was so refreshing! We also ordered the pretzel which was good, typical to what you would expect at a bar. Queso that came with it was delicious! The ambiance paired well with the name of the place - dark, cozy, and modern. Wish I could give them half stars as only talking off one for the conditions of the bathrooms. Still such a great experience! We will definitely be back! read more

My friend and I visited this evening. The white waitress walked passed us three times and didn't look are way. A table behind us full of white people were seated and came in after us, and she went straight to their table without acknowledging us. Chase swiftly came in and took our order with no problem. This is a persistent problem here as this is not my first time here. The ambiance and the food are always good here but the service needs an upgrade definitely. Service should be the best experience but this is where the Brass Tap falls short everytime. Please train staff to acknowledge and service ALL customers. read more

Everything is amazing love the drinks and the people the bartender Eric is absolutely phenomenal we love to come and see him!!!

Poor service tonight. Spent 1.5 hrs outside and not even once a sever came lot to keep up with our drinks. :(

Reallyyyy bad food. Went there once a few months ago, decided to come back and give it another try. Still equally as bad, if not worse than I remember. Beef quesadilla had two unseasoned hamburger patties stacked in the center of the tortilla with cheese around it. Chicken nachos had lukewarm unseasoned chicken strips drenched in queso. Also took us forever to get service. Made eye contact with about 5 different servers while they walked past our table and none of them said anything, afinally had to move to the bar to get service. Massive selection of beers on tap though, and cute outdoor patio area. I'd only recommend this place for drinks, definitely not food (unless you want to spend all night on the toilet). read more

Trivia was great with an awesome host, but unfortunately the service was extraordinarily slow and the brussels sprouts were pretty much raw. There was also a guy who definitely should've been cut off, but unfortunately he continued to accost the trivia host and several customers every time he stumbled up to the trivia table. The staff were asked multiple times to please do something as he was becoming belligerent but refused to acknowledge anyone, which seems to be the norm for them. I was also unable to find a single trash can other than the one in the bathroom. It's very possible I missed them, but I made several rounds both inside and out with no luck. read more

This very comfortable bar/restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating, a great beer menu, interesting cocktails, several wine choices, and a pretty good food menu. Our only complaint about the food is that the brussels sprouts were barely cooked. The best part of the Brass Tap might be the service, which is friendly, attentive, and just about perfect. read more

My husband and I frequent this place all too often and we truly love it for the friendly vibes, awesome drinks and craft beer selection, and attentive bartenders. All that it lacks is great food - we haven't been overly impressed by their menu items but it's still worth visiting for a good time and some drinks! You should go! read more

The Brass Tap - a glass of blue liquid with a lemon wedge - Beer Bar Near Me - Tallahassee, Florida

Tap selection was great at a somewhat decent price, but the service was terrible. If you'd like to be actively ignored for 20 minutes, this is the place to be. Needless to say I won't be back. Edit: I'll spare the details, but I have good reason to believe they do not clean their lines. read more

I'm mildly embarrassed I've never been to this location. I visit the one on Gaines Street occasionally, but never found it all that appealing. However, I'm pleasantly surprised to report that Brass Tap at Midtown has their shit together. Pardon my French. I was drawn in due to a glass giveaway, which had me weak in the knees. The girlfriend and I were a little hungry (what else is new?), so we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. It came out quickly and we very much enjoyed it. The glass giveaway came packaged in a limited edition Record Store Day logo, in partnership with Dogfish Head brew. The 90 Minute IPA was glorious and my girlfriend was a fan of the 60 Minute IPA. Glass giveaway began at 8 pm, but the manager who was nearby happily and willingly gave us our glassware a few minutes early. Sitting at the bar turned out to be a treat as we watched playoff hockey (Go Bolts!) and chatted with the manager. All in all, with over 50 beers on tap (guesstimate), decent bar food, friendly staff and a spacious patio, I will certainly return for many nights this summer. Oh, and the playlist was killer, too. Brass Tap gets the gold in my book. read more

Chips and salsa were really good. Salsa had a nice kick to it that isn't like standard restaurant salsa. Chips were warm. Boyfriend got the jalapeño burger and said it's one of the better burgers he's had in awhile and would come back just for the burger. I had the chicken street tacos, they were just alright. Nothing too special about them. It was served with chips and salsa, and if I had known that we probably would have gotten a different appetizer but it didn't say it anywhere on the menu. The atmosphere was really great, it's one of the reasons we chose to try the place out. I got my food roughly 7 minutes before boyfriend got his , and that's mainly why we went with 3 stars instead of 4. read more

Friendly bartender, cold beer, good selection of beers. Did not have a cocktail but they looked good.

Brass Tap was a great time. My friends and I went on a Tuesday evening when they host their trivia night. It was very fun, and very organized. The place wasn't very crowded when we got there, but not many places would be on a Tuesday evening. We got a seat quick and glanced at the menu. As far as food selection goes, there isn't a whole lot to it. They have some decent appetizers, and a few other things, but it's a bar so the business mainly comes from that. Personally I'm not a drinker, but I did try the Buffalo chicken dip appetizer and the panini. Both were awesome. In fact, everyone at the table loved the dip so much we got another one. Not too spicy, but it had a kick. The panini was also good. Our waitress was great because she had to deal with us for a bit over 2 hours since the trivia lasts awhile. Definitely was great there. Overall, I'd definitely go back. I wanna try more of the food and test my knowledge in the trivia! Also, happy hour is between 4-7, so get your money off some food and drinks! read more

Great ambience and super nice staff. I only went for drinks and they have a good selection of beer's. Must come back for the food!!!

i had a very bad experience at brass tap. I came up to enjoy a night with friends and was met with harassment not only by patrons by the employees as well. I was assaulted by a patron, who tried to trip me with his cane, to which a server who is off the clock decided to intervene. She then proceeded to kick me as I was trying to leave the establishment and upon re-entering to report said incident I was assaulted by another patron. When reporting this entire incident to the general manager, he was very dismissive and biased, and said because he didn't see the interaction himself it didn't happen. He refused to review the cameras. I don't think this review extends to all the service workers who are employed there, but they definitely have a few bad eggs. read more

The Brass Tap - Taps - Beer Bar Near Me - Tallahassee, Florida

The brass tap is such a vibe. I haven't eaten there yet but I really like the outdoor seating / bar. Friendly staff especially Erin.

I usually love going to The Brass Tap, one of my favorite places. But last night me and a friend went and sat outside, not one server came over. We sat there for 30 minutes before we left. I even tried to flag servers down and they ignored us. They went to all the new tables around us and didn't even acknowledge us. We ended up just walking out. read more

Okay, so I give the ambiance and the drinks 4 stars, and the food MAYBE 1 star, so here we are at 3. The outside patio area is very cute and the perfect setting for happy hour. People brings their dogs and it's a great time. There are a few high tops inside, but the majority of the sitting space is outside. The drinks are also pretty good and the bartenders are friendly. They also generally have sports on and it's a pretty exciting place to be when there are Florida State games on. But I'm telling you- eat before you get there. The food is not good, that's just the bottom line. For example, I got a quesadilla once and it was that chicken you can buy pre-made in a bag from Publix, you know the strips. It was that, with lightly melted shredded cheese. Something that I could have somehow made in my dorm room I'm sure. The next time I tried nachos and my boyfriend got tacos and it was the same story- disappointment. So I've learned to have dinner and then go out to enjoy the atmosphere and drinks, I recommend you all learn from my mistakes as well. read more

Place was cranking for a Friday night. Parking is a nightmare, but once parked, you're in. Beers are fantastic. I really loved the selection and that the staff was super knowledgeable about them. We ordered the pretzel bites, which were too yummy, and the prime rib nachos, which were okay. The environment was cool and I will def be back, but will try to snag an Uber instead of trying to park! read more

Brass Tap, home to hundreds of brews (and now spirits too!), is the go-to spot if you're in a crafty mood and looking for a large selection of beers to choose from. From Lagers to Belgians and Stouts to IPAs, there is a type of beer for everyone's tasting pleasure. They have a surprisingly large selection of both draft and bottle brews. I personally have a strong taste for Belgian crafts, with St. Bernardus Abt 12 holding a special place in my heart. Outside of the drink selections, Brass Tap offers a pretty great food selection as well. This is not only your typical bar foods such as beer cheese pretzels, prime rib nachos, and spinach and artichoke dip, but also flatbreads, tacos, pizzas and salads. I guess the idea is they would love to help you pair the proper beer with the proper filling. One of the greatest things Brass Tap has to offer is their nightly specials and theme nights that range from Karaoke to Trivia Night, and even Glassware Giveaway nights. It's great to bring the whole gang and have a go at Karaoke Night, which tends to get better the later the night gets, or try your luck at winning trivia. All in all this is a great bar, with both inside and outside seating, that is sure to be a great time for all. Come on down to where the beer flows like water and the good times just keep on rollin'! read more

Ended up coming to this Brass Tap location to watch the football games on a Sunday because I went to the one on Gaines first and found out they no longer had NFL Sunday Ticket. When I pulled up, I noticed a beautiful patio/deck area where one can sit outside, drink plenty of brews and enjoy the weather providing it permits. Noted. It's a pretty clean establishment. I noticed some folks complained about the service but I didn't experience this issue at all. I sat at the bar first and the bartender tended to me immediately. When one of my co-workers walked in unexpectedly to watch the Dolphins play and I moved to a table closer to his, the bartender said it was cool and my new waitress came through shortly after to check on me. Now some of the high top tables are really small. Most of us probably aren't drinking alone but unless you're having a sensual, romantic, candlelight "beer date" -__- , you and your buddies aren't going to be too find fond of the "high top tables for two." Aside from that, my exerience was enjoyable. Multiple TVs to watch multiple games at once. A plethora of beer options. And the food I tasted (Chicken nachos) was pretty good. They also appear to have some kind of special going on every single night. You could do MUCH worse than Brass Tap in Midtown but unless you're looking for a real hole-in-the-wall or "Cheers"-like bar, you more than likely won't find that many in town that are much better. read more

Excellent COVID compliance, great selection of beer, wine, and hard cider. The Brass Tap has a wide array of drinks! I came here with some friends around 11pm on a Monday. Surprisingly there was a decent amount of people in the indoor bar area. There is a spacious outdoor patio area with tables and chairs overlooking the street. There are plenty of beverages from stouts to light beers and ciders. If you're a fan of ciders I recommend the Rekorderling Strawberry-Lime Cider. My beau had an Irish cream beer and my friend ordered a breakfast stout (which is fantastic). Overall we enjoyed our time here. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we came but I would've liked to have tried some of their food. read more
