Good spot to study and catch up with friends! Would come again. Wifi connection is really stable. The pastries are good, would suggest the chocolate croissant over the butter croissant. Locally crafted drinks and delectable coffee selections for the morning. Definitely a hidden gem for study dates with friends! read more

Cute little spot to grab a coffee or drink a cold beer. There's seating inside and outside so you can enjoy some nice weather. The ambiance was awesome, could definitely see myself working on my laptop or with a nice book. The bartenders were friendly and they had a wide variety of beers. Definitely a cool spot to check out. read more

I enjoyed both beers I got! (It was a Pilsner and a transfusion inspired beer) Asked bartender for recs when I came here. He did not seem in the mood at all. I understand some bartenders get pretty annoyed at that, but feel like it's pretty easy to get an answer on someone's favorite drink. If I tired plenty of drinks on the menu, I don't think I would struggle. Looked like a fun place to come with a bigger group and they had plenty of board games! read more

Short visit, nice vibe! Some merch for sale. Service was friendly! Didn't seem to be a great deal of parking, but it's downtown.

The food tasted good, but was cooked or reheated unevenly. The coffee tastes great, it's not too potent with caffeine like some Starbucks. Breakfast is an odd time for this place because they are a bar. If I came back, I'd just get the bagel w/cream cheese and a coffee. Mine was decent for $10, but I'd rather save $6. The coffee though is great for $2. I've been here for a beer before. It's like $8 for a 12oz IPA, and it's a great space for friends to converse. Definitely competing with places like The brass tap. This location is great, North Tally is nice. read more

Passed by one night while in town to celebrate a couple of things with some drinks. I am the non-beer drinker of us two, so of course I asked the bartender for a suggestion given my preferences. Opted to try their Crispr Knockout and it indeed knocked it out of the park. I was quite pleased with this drink. It was dry but not overly so. It ran smooth, quenched my thirst, and most of all, considering the weather, it kept me warm. Tallahassee is ridiculously cold this time of year! He decided to join me with the same drink and so we cheered and enjoyed our evening. He also told me that apparently they also serve coffee in the morning, and a very obvious sign behind me confirmed it. I probably would have tried their coffee one morning as this was within walking distance of where I stayed, but I simply didn't have the time. Maybe next time? read more

Ology was the last official stop on my recent brewery tour de Florida, and it did not disappoint. This small taproom was everything you could want in a beer joint. They had a few basics on the menu (I loved the vienna lager!) as well as some more out-of-the-box varieties - like the green berlinner weisse I finished the evening with. It was DELISH. The taproom has a cozy vibe, with a slightly-science twist in the decor (thus the "ology"). They also had an impressive selection of house-distilled spirits, and cool schwag too! read more

We had some Ology beers last year at the Tampa Bay Beer Fest last year riiiiight before Covid hit so knew of this brewery along with other Tallahassee breweries. They are what inspired the trip even. Ology has two locations in Tallahassee and there are some slight differences between the two and what they offer. The Midtown location offers their Sour Cellar beers which are bottled beers that process differently than the rest. The other location offers slushies. They both get the same beers but depending on demand may not have the same on tap at the same time. We were told that they are opening a 3rd location soon and that the goal is to have each location offer something a little different from the others. They had 13 options to choose from the tap and several canned options in 4 packs with some that were also offered as singles. I do have say, their beer prices were high. One of the single cans to go was $7.50 alone and without trying it first, we just can't justify it. It may be worth it but it very well may not be. There is nothing worse than buying a beer or a 4 pack of unknown beer on the pricey side it is not being good and disliking it to the point of pouring it out. Unfortunately, that has happened. read more

Great little spot for unique house brewed coffees, brews and independently distilled spirits. Big fan of the new world gin and white rum. Their Italian Pilz is excellent. Plus you can grab a pizza next door and bring it in to enjoy. Definitely a great spot to spend an afternoon relaxing. read more

The guy behind the bar was super nice! Gave us some great recommendations based on what our preferences are but let us have a small sample beforehand. He took the time to describe each sample, helping us to decide on the perfect brew. The space is small yet perfect for their business. Love the wine/whiskey barrel tables. read more

Ology Brewing [Midtown] - Couple of beers from Ology. - Breweries Near Me - Tallahassee, Florida

Me and 3 friends went here last night and it was great. We told the bar tender what kind of beers we like and dislike and then he recommended things for us. And all the recommendations where great. The inside is very cute and trendy, probably not good for a group larger than 4. It is open so the temperature is similar to outside temperature but it adds to the atmosphere. While we were there on Friday night there was a food truck outside which we ordered from. I had the pork sandwich which was great as well as the key lime pie which was even better. Only thing that would make this better is another group brought a game with them and we were jealous we hadn't done the same. read more

Nice little brewery bar that got my attention with their Dynamic Fermentum release party. I have been a fan of "sours" since I tried my first last spring in Colorado. The interior is simple with a bar with stools on the left when you go in and a few comfortable tables and two person keg tables on the right. A very relaxing setup for quaffing a few beers with friends. For my visit there was the added bonus that they were currently featuring an elderberry, raspberry and blood orange sour on tap that was just plain delicious and refreshing. I can foresee dropping in for a little taste in the future. read more

Very friendly and attentive staff, wide variety that meets everyone's desires. As well as the atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy.

Ology is brewing the most exciting beers in Tallahassee right now. I say that definitively. There's a reason they won "best brewery" at Hunahpu's day. If you haven't been yet, drop everything, or else clear your Sunday afternoon so that you can sample one of their Juice Labs if you're into fruity beer. Heliocentric Distortion Hazy IPA is a standout. I was hooked after the first smooth sip. The bartenders know their craft and can point you in the right direction so that you find something you like. They offer small pours. I shamelessly ordered one ounce of a spectacular mead during my last visit. They typically have a kombucha on draft as well, and pretzels with spicy brown mustard at the end of the bar which I always end up snacking on. They have a decent amount of cans and bottles to grab and go if you're looking to take something other than a growler home. If you really want to impress your friends, grab a bottle of the Trace Element barrel aged sour out of the fridge (the peach was my favorite), add it to your tab at the counter, and pour your friends a wild beer in stemmed glasses! read more

Ology Brewing [Midtown] - Trace Element peach pomegranate barrel aged sour - Breweries Near Me - Tallahassee, Florida

Ology Brewing is not even two years old but has already made a name for itself nationwide, and is one of the best breweries in the southeast. The brewers are consistently on the forefront of beer trends while also brewing traditional beer very, very well. They recently won Best Brewery and 2nd Best Beer at Cigar City's Hunahpu's Festival where breweries from across the world come to pour beer. Occasionally, Ology will have guest kegs from Garagiste Meadery which is one of the best meaderies in the country. Kegs such as these rarely leave the Tampa area and I highly recommend trying one if it's available when you stop by. For those that may not nerd out about beer, the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly and will have no problem helping you select beer that you will enjoy. The eclectic tap list includes something that everyone would enjoy, from hazy IPAs and wild fermented barrel aged sours to blonde ales and stouts. Multiple pour sizes are available and they also do crowlers to go. This is one of the must see places in Tallahassee. read more

Easily the best brewery in Tallahassee. Some great New England ipas which are my favorite style of beer so I am always stopping here when traveling through the Florida panhandle. The midtown location is very nicely decorated in a cool older part of town. The staff has always been very friendly when I have been. I love this little brewery. read more

Enjoyed my first time at Ology. The ambiance is chill, great customer service, many beers to try, dog friendly, and of course my favorite...they have wine! Some of the beers were amazing, others not. But I think that is part of trying beers. The brewery itself isn't huge but it felt like plenty of room for guests, although I bet it can get really crowded. There is a bar area, long tables, and round barrels to sit around (no outdoor seating). I personally thought the barrels were a bit awkward to sit at and the chairs uncomfortable. Parking was pretty easy and there is aself serve water and pretzel station, and the tally mac shack out front. I look forward to becoming a regular! read more

Probably the best brewery in town if you like juicy beers. They have great sours & hazys. This specific location is pet friendly which is a plus! You can bring your dog inside & outside food as well. Service is always great. Beer-tenders are knowledgeable and on point of what to expect with their beers. They also serve wine. Sometimes they even have alcoholic slushees. Really cool local spot. Came here on a Friday around 7pm and really enjoyed my experience. I love going to breweries and trying out different beers. The look of the place is hip and modern. I think they're going for the science theme, but the decor is all very subtle. When we walked in we were greeted by a bartender and given a menu of the beers. Unfortunately they were out of almost half of the beers on the menu so the options were limited. My boyfriend and I really enjoy IPAs and we were in luck because they still had two different IPAs on the menu available. The bartender gave us samples and we both went with the sensory overload IPA. After we got our beers we took a seat at a table inside. The brewery is pretty small and there isn't much outdoor seating because the building is located very close to the road. The doors are open though which allows for the natural sunlight to come in. It wasn't busy at all which is nice because I'm not a huge fan of crowded bars. The beers tasted great and we also dug into the pretzels and mustard that they offer to guests for free. Will definitely return to Ology in the future. read more

Not a huge beer person, but their cream liqueurs are the bomb! My favorite is the pumpkin one, but the birthday one is pretty good too. You can have it with cold brew at any time of the day. Excellent craft beers. Excellent bar tenders. Cool retro decor with exposed fermentation vats that are seemingly arranged to please the beholders eye. To me Ology comes off as a shiney gem in the rough, which draws me in. A great place to meet and greet, surf the web, or just to meet people with similar good tastes LOL Obviously I am sold on the Ology concept and their wonderful liquid goodness. My brother and I stopped here before heading to Whole Foods for grocery shopping on a Saturday. We had to tear ourselves away LOL Come get your inner-beer on at Ology. They can handle it! read more

A vastly improved local brewery that puts out the best sours in town! Honestly, every new brewery goes through an initial period of spotty consistency, which is what I noticed in Ology's first few months of operation. Some beers tasted great and were some of the best I've had, but others made me immediately regret ordering a full pint without testing it first. Now, as Ology has matured and started to find its place within the Tallahassee brewing community, the beer has improved and a sour beer program has gotten off the ground and even started to excel. Seriously, make the trip to grab a bottle or two of their barrel-aged sours or their Juice Lab on Sunday. The bottles go fast and, although they are usually unveiled at a ticketed event, you can stop by later to grab a bottle during a regular visit and they'll typically still have some in stock. Ology has continued to improve their recipes and get innovative, so I love finding so many new (and great tasting!) beers to try with each new visit. Overall, I'm happy to see improvements in the quality of brewing at Ology and see that they only continue to reach for higher and higher goals. Keep up the great work! read more

I've been keeping an eye out for when this place opened. My husband and I were driving by and saw cars parked outside so we decided to see if it was open and got lucky! This was the soft opening so they don't have set hours just yet. The beers are fantastic. You can get 3oz, 6oz or 12oz pours. They don't have fights as you can essentially get 3oz pours for all of them if you wanted to. I really liked the Problem Solver (blonde). My husband really liked Sensory Overload (N.E. IPA). I am not a fan of IPAs but even I liked this one. They have a nice bar area you can sit at when you enter and an larger open area of tables on the side. There are some standing barrels which you can sit around and use as a table. The staff is incredibly friendly. You can tell they are passionate about their beer. I will definitely be coming back here. read more

Solid addition to the Tally brew scene. Ology is proud and true to their nerd theme. My favorite was the problem solver and my hub's favorite was the Quantum Stimuli. I highly recommend Ology! Especially if you like sours. Don't get attached to their beers though, because they rotate them out frequently and love to get inventive with new beer. This midtown location is smaller than their new secondary location, but I love it all the same. It's got plenty of outdoor seating and really, the entire place is sort of open-air. The staff are friendly and give samples of anything they have on draught. Also, they allow outside food, so this is a great place to bring food and sip some great brews! read more

Stopped by Ology brewing when road tripping around Tally. It was a nice place tucked into a side street. They did have curb parking, I did not see a parking lot, at peak times I imagine that parking may be an issue. The brewery had a mice open air feel, the bartender was very knowledgeable and provided samples and recommendations until I found the beer that I wanted. I took a seat at a small table within the brewery and watched traffic go by as I enjoyed my beer. I wasn't busy and fairly relaxing, just the way I liked it. I would definitely recommend stopping by as it is a nice place to visit. read more

Definitely my favorite brewery in Tallahassee. I'm consistently impressed with the new additions they introduce... from the drinks to the atmosphere to the expansions. Bartenders and management are always extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. I love that they make an array of incredible fruit beers, but also have something tasty on the menu no matter what your beer palate prefers. Best beer in Tallahassee and I can only hope they continue to expand and serve in restaurants/grocery stores outside of this area so more people can try it. read more
