Nice place! Yelpers are correct! They are good AND slow! I took the advice and called ahead. I arrived late and still waited 15 minutes with only 1 couple sitting outside on the porch. That's my only negative! Sandwiches are filling, tasty and fixed with care. There's a lot of individual attention given to food preparation! The sandwich was good! The wings were really good, too. It was a nice experience and deserved a 4.5! They need to be a little quicker based on Yelpers experiences but don't sacrifice the care you're providing in your food! I'll be baaaaack!

Great food and service. Owners were nice and friendly, not big cowboy fans. Good food options reasonable prices. Nice setting.

Be never had a Philly in Philadelphia, but I can't imagine one being any better than what I had here today. Amazingly soft and chewy roll, well seasoned beef, white American cheese (next time, WIZ!), and sautéed onions. I've had many cheesesteaks n my day, but this one is the best I've ever had. Also had the onion rings. Amazing. The place is super immaculate and it smelled clean...but not overpowering - inviting, rather. Service was a bit slow, but we were at the beginning of a wave of business that was steady for the entire time we were there. The folks there were super friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back...I don't even care that it's not close to my house!

Just recently found out about this place and wanted to give it a try. I was not disappointed! Nice, quaint eating area inside and outside, which is especially appreciated. Customer service was great! And the Philly was spot on! I ordered the chicken philly with onions, green peppers, and provolone cheese, plus a side of fries. Choice of 8 in. or 12 in. for the phillies; I got the 8 in. but could only eat half of it! Loads of chicken (not skimpy with the meat). Although onions can be included at no extra cost, other items are extra (such as green peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, etc.). I will plan to visit this place many more times!

About as close to the real-deal as you will get in Tallly. I've been to both Pat's and Gino's in Philadelphia many times, as well as enjoyed Philly cheesesteak at other Philly establishments. And the ones at Flyby Phillys are pretty close. We went add ordered sandwiches and sides to go. The decor isn't much to look at, but they do have Bob Ross painting episodes running continuously on one of the TVs to give you something to enjoy while you wait for your cooked to order meal. I had an 8" OG Cheesesteak Wiz (cheese whiz) wit (onions) and added peppers and mushrooms. Wiz wit is the only way to go, imho. We also ordered their onion rings and their pretzels. The pretzels were Porter disappointing (very dense) and wet won't be getting those again. But the onion rings were a standout. Clearly hand battered and quite crispy. The sandwich was wonderful. I'm told they get their rolls twice a week from Amoroso Bakery in Philadelphia and that they hand shaved the ribeye in house. The sandwich tasted great and had quite a lot of meat and toppings. Glad I didn't go for the 12". We will absolutely be back!

I've had three things here: the Cheesesmith (meh), loaded fries (pretty good) and the Whiz Wit (sooo good). The Whiz Wit comes with meat, cheese and onions (the "wit" is for "with onions"). If you don't like onions, try the Whiz Witout. I like to add mushrooms and peppers to the cheesesteak which tend to make it so big and sloppy you have to eat it with a fork and knife. If you get the "long" cheesesteak option, you're basically eating for two or three people. As of 8/1/2020, this place is delivery and to-go only. Your options are: (1) text them your order and wait for a confirmation text for curbside pickup or (2) call for pickup or (3) order through GrubHub for pickup or delivery or (4) order from your car in the parking lot (they have menus outside and will take your order at your window). Employees wear masks and gloves. If you order through GrubHub then you pay online and everything is contactless. If you order via any other method you will have to interact with a tablet once you arrive.

FOOD WAS AMAZING !!!! My husband and i spontaneously tried this and we have been raving about it ever since ! I got the 6" american wit and it was amazing ! HOT AND FRESH FOOD FULL OF FLAVOR ! My hubby got the bbq philly with ground beef and chicken 8" it was yummy and prob better than mine imo but both are good !! service was pretty reasonable didn't wait too long ! Nice vibes on the inside but we had it to go.

    I love these guys.

My five-word review: this place is for real. Visiting Tally from Philly, I had to stop in. I got the provowit with beer chz added. Ordered online and drove to the shop. It was waiting for me and hot, so just made. Generally a steak should be moist enough without adding ketchup or mayo. This definitely checked that box. I loved that their default is a 9 inch sandwich: just the right amount of food without wrecking my day. The service was the only thing that wasn't quite Philly: the service was friendly and courteous, not gruff or calling me "hon." The sandwich was gone in a flash, very satisfying and delicious. The decor of the shop shows that this place is done from the heart, and not just a Philly theme restaurant. Loved seeing my 2008 Phililes heroes here. And Randall's jersey! That is all.

Half order of onion rings and Philly cheesesteak with wiz cheese
    Jorge D.

Overall the cheesesteak Philly was pretty good. The cashier helped me understand that the wiz cheese they use isn't the kind from a can but the real type of cheese blend used for actual Phillys. I also ordered a half order of onion rings. The onion rings were a bit disappointing because one the size of the portion and two I felt like they were average homemade onion rings. The Philly however was pretty good and the wiz cheese was a new flavor for me. I'd recommend anyone to try it for yourself and see what you think

Tried this place after driving by a few and it did not disappoint. The cheesesteak reminded me of my first time in Philadelphia. The service was swift and efficient and the place looks like a Philly dive bar.

After all the drama of this philly place opening we were excited to try it. Ordering was easy, and they bring it out to your car. The owner was nice, service was quick but the food was disappointing. I ordered the Provo wit (added peppers). My husband and and his brother ordered a couple different sandwiches. The sandwiches were dry, they lacked flavor and in my opinion they needed more cheese. ALSO they need to change whatever they're wrapping the philly's in because the paper kept sticking to the entire sandwich and we all were eating paper. After trying other Philly's I don't think we will be returning.

These are the fries we expected.
    Marie G.

The girl that worked there was friendly. Sandwich not good. It tasted smoky as if there was bacon or some other smoked meat on the grill cooked prior to the meat being cooked. The meat was tiny little pieces not the type of meat that you would expect in a Philly cheesesteak like they put together a bunch of scraps that should probably have been thrown in the trash instead of into the sandwich. The fries-they were bad. They were dipped in some kind of weird batter - The menu did not mention that the fries were dipped in a weird batter and all the pictures on their website show just regular french fries. To our surprise they came out dipped in a weird batter and had weird spices on them not exactly what you would expect at a true Philly cheesesteak place. Just a strange weird place. I have learned that people in Tallahassee will rate places in comparison to what is in the local area and not what truly is out in the real world.

This place is incredible! I have to start by giving them props for boldly opening during a pandemic. That takes guts! Thankfully, Tallahassee is a town that's been craving an authentic and juicy cheesesteak for as long as I can remember. This place delivers and then some. I can't even describe how good this food is, but I can sure try. The rolls are soft, the cheese wiz is like nothing I've ever had before and it complements the meat like no other. The height of complements here is that I hate peppers. Like public enemy number one style hate. Yet I decided to split a sandwich with my fiancé, and he wanted it with the works, so I compromised and decided to try it. I actually really liked it (wit) the peppers and onions. They are cooked so well that the pepper taste isn't overwhelming, but truly complimentary. I honestly can't wait to come back and get my own!

If I get amazing service I find the on duty manager and tell them immediately so they can feel good about their team. I've spent over 40yrs in the hospitality industry along with wine, beer & spirits distribution. I've run restaurants and nightclubs as well as working for a national chain as a corporate front of the house trainer. I try to always eat local, drink local beer and independent coffee shops. With that being said, I feel I'm qualified to leave this review. I went in there on Father's Day with my family, all adults and one young child. We arrived just as one of the FIFA matches just started, so I know these time quotes are accurate. We watched multiple servers, managers (I'm guessing based on what they were doing) & server assistants. We sat for a good 15 minutes before we had to stop someone, because one of the people was getting hot, and needed some water. It wasn't until after that, we were given menu's and asked what we would like to drink. That took almost 15-18 minutes until those arrived. They were not complicated, Diet Coke a house special drink and their flagship beer. Once the other 3 people joined us, we ordered food and another round. Again, that took 15+ minutes to get that . Albeit they were busy, full house, but it appeared that they ample personal to accommodate the guests. We came specifically for the Chicago Hot Dogs, because they have all the proper ingredients. But, when we ordered... they were out. Then when another sandwich s was ordered, we were told they were out of fries. My pregnant daughter was craving one of their signature doughnuts... they were out. And when I mean out, all signature donuts were outThen there was another side dish that was out, but at this point we were glazing over the menu again. Once food came, it was delicious. The beer and drinks were 5 star, all the way. The last disappointment was when we were ready to check out, our server was nowhere to be found. We waited expecting her to check on us, considering I had ordered one last beer (another 15 minutes went by, and she had to come back to confirm my order). This is in no way a complaint but should be taken as a possible retraining opportunity, or at the absolute least, a good pre-shift discussion on service steps. I tipped well above the normal (30%), because I know how hard things can be. Any other person would have tipped 10% or less. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Easy access plus a bar meant repeat visits. Let's start with the GOODS the drinks! I stopped in to the bar multiple times and the cocktails are where they shined for me. Ryan the bartender - WOW next level. Superb! Knows his stuff, and made every drink a hit for me. My top pick? The Juju, hands down my favorite. But I also got a sneak peek of a new drink coming to their seasonal menu called the Lily Pad, and OMG mmmmmm. So good. Bright, refreshing, well-balanced. Totally check out my photos for that one. Now... about breakfast. It's a No for me. Enough. I had the Nashville Honey Chicken Biscuits and they are a FAIL, a No. Dry, sad, biscuits with fried frozen chicken nugget in it and not worth $16. It's an embarrassment to the establishment. The Cortado, also a miss!... but it was coffee and I needed to get going to work. R&R, please rethink breakfast: 100% did not meet the price point. Skip breakfast or walk across the street, there's a bagel shop. The hotel indigo is really cute and I'll probably write a review about that on a separate, the place is overall cute, but there's very limited food places around the hotel. So in conclusion, I will give you an extra star for the convenience and the bar. After my experience for breakfast, I did not care to come here for food at all anymore. Expensive cheap food. Just because they're helped by a great bar and a beautiful hotel and a great location..

While it may not reinvent the wheel, it delivers on what matters: tasty chicken, fast service, and a decent overall value--at least as far as today's quick-serve prices go. I grabbed the kids meal (yep, no shame), which came with 2 tenders, fries, and a drink for about $6-$7. Surprisingly, it was just the right amount of food, especially given how pricey fast food is getting lately. The chicken had a satisfying batter--crispy but not greasy--and their Cajun ranch sauce was a standout. Fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, but they did the job. The staff were kind and efficient, staying low-key even while the place was packed. The dining area was busy, but the drive-thru was clearly the main event. If you're looking for a quieter experience, dining in might actually be your better bet. Despite the name "Slim Chickens," don't come here expecting a bunch of healthy options--it's more in the Zaxby's, Guthrie's, or Chick-fil-A realm: comforting, fried, and familiar. The parking lot was cleaned with ample parking and the outside of the building, including the outdoor dining area, was very clean. The beautiful well-designed lobby, including the front counter and self-serve fountain drink area, was also clean. Not a sports bar, but there's several TVs positioned in the lobby for entertainment while dining enjoying your meal. Customer service was awesome and placing my order was a breeze with a well-positioned menu that was easy to read and understand. The wait time to receive my order was about 3 - 5 minutes. I ordered the new 10 Piece Tender Bites Meal with fries, Texas toast, and a drink served with my choice of two house dipping sauces: barbeque sauce and honey mustard sauce. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and served hot. The chicken, which was large for bites was tender, moist, juicy and had great flavor. The toast and fries were also hot and very good. I'm used to dining at Chick fil A when I want nuggets or tenders, but I may have a found my new dining option while working in Tallahassee.

I tried their deep friend mushrooms. They were actually pretty good! But heads up. This place charges a mandatory gratuity of 18% on all orders with the exception of visitors coming in early M-Th. Add that on top of already high prices and you're in pretty deep. Advice: in Florida (and most states), paying mandatory gratuity charges are not actually required (or legal) and they cannot force you to pay it. If you're dissatisfied with your service, you can line out the mandatory gratuity and put in whatever you feel is appropriate. However, I've also heard that it may be legal as long as it is posted...which it was. I would have rated another star higher had it not been for the mandatory gratuity...which is the highest I've ever run into in my travels. As a single traveler, I don't feel the overall price was reasonable. So I won't be back.

This is a blatant disregard for the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. A federal law which says a business Cannot take more money than what is authorized.
