ATE IT ALL UP

man, am I ECSTATIC about my visit here. first i ordered water with lemon which was pleasantly crisp. next my honey bbq boneless wings came and i must say they were HUGE, not expecting that... yet after the food came i had to take a MASSIVE DUMP, but i didn't feel like i was welcome to here, only complaint about the service. the wings tasted juicy but like honey with a hint of bbq not honey bbq

Yummy wings, onion rings, cheese fries!!! All amazing!

We heard about Florida Wing Factory from a friend and decided to try it during a recent visit to Tallahassee. We live in a small town in South Georgia and like to try new spots when we can. We will definitely go back! It was super clean, friendly service, great wings, onion rings, cheese fries. Can't wait to visit Florida Wing Factory again!

Honey Habanero and Lemon Pepper wings

I tried this place again reluctantly and it tuned out to be pretty good. This is one of the few local wing spots in my neighborhood so I decided to give it another try. I usually get fries with my wings but today I tried the fried okra instead. It was okay; I've had better before. The lemon pepper wings were okay but the honey habanero was really good. All in all I had a decent experience this time. I'm glad that they've improved and I'll definitely be back in the future.

Trying something new...

So, I think I found my new favorite wing spot. Their honey BBQ wings are among the tastiest I've had in Tally. Lauren took our order and was very patient as this was our first time trying it. She also allowed us try the Bourbon Bacon sauce, which sounded intriguing, but I was not a fan of the flavor. She said guys prefer it, which was an interesting factoid. I had the Carolina gold boneless with a side of potato fries. They were really tasty. My gf had the buffalo garlic parmesan, while she enjoyed the flavor, she ordered all flats and found them "too fatty." At first, she thought they weren't fried hard enough, but after several minutes in our air fryer, she was still not satisfied. We did enjoy her side of mac n cheese bites. We ordered 1- 10 piece traditional wing combo, 1- 6 piece traditional, and 1 6-piece boneless, they all come with a side and a drink. The total was $55. The only con really was it took about a half-hour to get our order on a Thursday night when the place was relatively empty. We had good company while we waited, that helped. Unfortunately, no pics because we were starving by the time we got our food and got home. Definitely plan to try again.

Tenders

First time here after golf Saturday morning. I'm hungry so I got 6 wings and a 2 tender combo meal with Mac bites and a Coke Zero. They have lots of sauces to choose from. Peanut Butter and jelly caught my eye, but went with Sriracha Honey BBQ. On my naked wings. I got Nashville Hot on the side for my tenders. It looks like a nice sports bar, but on the smaller side. The bartender/Host/Server is very friendly, patient, and helpful. Well the portions are large. Huge wings and tenders. Not something I necessarily want, but these were cooked nicely. Tender, moist and good flavor. The sauces were great. The Mac and cheese bites were creamy and crispy at the same time. I'll come back to try the stuffed wings and the peanut butter and jelly wings. In the pictures look at the 2oz soufflé cup as a size reference for the tenders and wings.

It's a really sad day for me! My favorite menu item is no longer being served!! This place made the best grilled chicken tenders anywhere and they no longer offer them. I was so disappointed to hear that because I have recommended FWF so many times for my favorite Keto Friendly lunch! They do not serve any grilled options so I went ahead and orders the strips that had the breading. The truth is the service is great and those wings were on point. My partner ordered regular wings. They were pretty small but I think that's a result of the market more than anything. I had to move my rating to a 4 because I can't get Diet Coke and I can no longer enjoy a keto meal here unless I eat a salad. But if those things aren't a big deal to you and I realize they aren't to most people - definitely still a great wings place!

I've been back multiple times after my first review and have to say, this is now one of my go tos. The staff is always friendly and the food is fresh and always hits the spot. Good draft beer selection as well

The best boneless wings I've had in Tallahassee. Not too much breading or fattiness, and good heat/flavor.

However, on a recent trip I discovered something a bit disturbing and honestly confusing. I was with a group of colleagues, and three of us have Alpha Gal (red meat allergy caused by the lone star tick). Thankfully I desensitized myself enough that I can eat SOME red meat. The other two are highly sensitive. I ordered the wings again and passed them around to share. One of my AG friends ate one and the other asked the waitress if there is cross contamination. We were informed that the wings are fried in BEEF tallow. I panicked because the one friend is so sensitive that she can't even go to a petting zoo with hoofed mammals without reacting. So lucky that she had taken an Allegra that day which helps with the allergy enough that one wing fried with beef fat won't cause anaphylaxis. However, if the other girl had eaten it, she very likely could have had a terrible reaction. It does not state on the menu that the wings are fried in beef tallow. It's very important that allergens such as this are noted. I would never have thought myself that it was fried in beef fat. I would've thought it was vegetable or peanut oil. I would hope that this restaurant will add red meat allergens to their menu as Alpha Gal is becoming more and more common. Better yet, don't use beef products to cook chicken products.

Anyone who has ever had a good cuban sandwich or heck, even a mediocre cuban sandwich, can tell you that a cuban sandwich usually has pork and ham and often, mustard. But the cuban we got had no ham. It was just some finely pulled and apparently chopped pork on a bread Not a cuban, an ok tasting sandwich but not a cuban. Thank God the bread was fresh. Yesterday while visiting this venerable bar and grill, my buddy I decided to veer away from the cuban and just order chicken wings. Like, you know Americana. The chicken wings came cooked crispy just like I like em but lo and behold they appeared to be cooked without salt. Chicken without salt is just plain boring. My buddy, trying to find a silver lining, said, well the hot sauce has salt in it. And so it was. I scarfed down the saltless chicken wings, hoping it would be over soon. I hate to waste money. If I could post a picture of taste, Id post a picture of no taste. Despite a drop dead gorgeous waitress, I don't believe I will go back to this place anytime soon except to maybe drink a beer. But stung two times now, Im wondering, how can someone screw up a beer?

There are lots of pool tables; some are coin-op and others you rent. Depending on which table you're playing at, you might not be close to a TV monitor. There are a number of big screens inside, but nearly enough that they should be calling themselves a sports bar in my opinion. The bar is OK and the staff were pleasent enough. I tried their deep friend mushrooms. They were actually pretty good! But heads up. This place charges a mandatory gratuity of 18% on all orders with the exception of visitors coming in early M-Th. Add that on top of already high prices and you're in pretty deep. Advice: in Florida (and most states), paying mandatory gratuity charges are not actually required (or legal) and they cannot force you to pay it. If you're dissatisfied with your service, you can line out the mandatory gratuity and put in whatever you feel is appropriate. However, I've also heard that it may be legal as long as it is posted...which it was. I would have rated another star higher had it not been for the mandatory gratuity...which is the highest I've ever run into in my travels. As a single traveler, I don't feel the overall price was reasonable. So I won't be back.

Naturally, I was excited to check it out -- both for the atmosphere and the connection to such a well-respected local figure. We visited on a summer evening and found the place quiet at first, but it started to liven up around 9 p.m., especially in the bar area, drawing a pretty young and energetic crowd. The vibe is casual and welcoming, though parking can be a bit of a challenge -- even on a slower night, it was tough to find a spot nearby, and most options require payment, so come prepared. Our server mentioned it was their first week, but they still did a great job. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially for a trendy College Town location. We ordered the pretzel rolls, Caesar salads, and a few pours of their signature beer, Outlaw, which was just $5 and very good. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Our total came to $62 for two full meals, four beers, and a tip -- not bad at all, especially given the quality and portion sizes. While the restaurant does include some Bobby Bowden memorabilia, I expected a bit more of a nostalgic or themed atmosphere considering the namesake. A few more personal touches or FSU throwbacks would really round out the space and elevate the experience for fans and newcomers alike. Overall, Bowden's is a great spot for a casual night out -- whether you're grabbing a bite before the bar crowd rolls in or sticking around for drinks in the heart of College Town. I'd definitely go back.
