There are lots of places to eat in Tallahassee. Truthfully, most of the food you find is average to pretty good. What makes Beef O'Brady's stand out for us is one person in particular. Madi, our server, turns a relatively average experience into a great one!! Literally takes a 7/10 and turns into a 10/10 every time. She is attentive and efficient. Met my sister and my niece at this restaurant for lunch; has been some years since I've eaten at Beef O'Brady's. It took a minute for us to be noticed when we entered, though our server was friendly. I ordered the shrimp tacos with also and chips (they have a great deal for Taco Tuesdays!); my sister had buffalo chicken tenders and curly fries, and my niece had a burger and curly fries. Though it took a while to get our food, the server explained that it would take a while because they were short-staffed (we really appreciated being given this information). In any case, we all enjoyed our meal; we were able to beat the "lunch rush" and just had a nice, enjoyable time. Oh yes, the food was good! Calories are ridiculously high, so I thought a kids mac and cheese would be better. It was not. It was very unappetizing. It tastes like they put Parmesan in water and put it on noodles. The queso is pretty good though. I ended up eating some of a family memebers chicken. The queso goes well with just about everything to be honest. Other than the Mac and cheese it was amazing. Our server was so good. The service in general is amazing. The place isn't too cold, it nice and cozy with a few tvs. The music they play is top tier if you're into modern pop. 8/10 recommend everything except anything with mac and cheese. read more

I'm not a huge Beef O Brady's fan, but I really like this location and recommend it to anyone. I recently moved into an apartment with no washer/dryer hookups (don't do that), and so I now go to the laundromat once a week. While my clothes are washing, I go to Planet Fitness a couple doors down. While my clothes are drying, I head over to Beef's. The good: They have daily specials and a 4-7 happy hour. Their wings are pretty good. I usually get them Nashville Hot. I've tried a number of menu items. My favorite are their wings, their ribs and their jalapeño corn fritters. They also have 19 beers on tap and even do flights. TVs abound. Service is great. My favorite bartenders are Jessica and Danielle. The bad: There's really nothing special here. It's all pretty standard sports bar stuff. The wings are good but not great. Also, the wifi suuuuucks. In sum: I probably wouldn't come here if it wasn't next to my laundromat and gym. I got 4 TINY pieces of cod and less that a half order of fries. We got it to go. BIG MISTAKE! Never order to go without checking it before leaving. First off, the service was excellent. One of servers greeted us immediately and helped organize our seating arrangements (large group). We thought he would be our server, but no, he was helping out a fellow teammate; great teamwork! Our actual server was amazing and got everything right. She treated our two babies very sweetly and provided them crayons and coloring sheets without even having been asked. She was also very prompt in helping us clean a little spill and had a replacement beverage before we had a chance to settle back in. The food was fantastic. We all ordered different things and no one had a complaint that something that was burnt or not cooked through. The wings looked presentable if a little too drenched for my taste, but it was not me eating them and the one who did said they were great. Lastly, we got our meals very fast, which made everyone very happy. This is not fine dining, but we were treated as though it was. We did not frequent Beef 'O' Brady's in the past, but if we get service and quality like this in follow-up visits, we most certainly will become avid customers on family outing day. I was a little hesitant to come here. The reviews were kinda rotten. I will say we had a fantastic dinner here. We came here on a Monday around 7pm. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere was quiet. The music seemed to switch up to get a broad taste and it was clean. Our server came shortly and got us drinks. When she returned we ordered the chips and salsa for starters. I have started getting a little plump around the waist with all these reviews so i decided to get a sweet jalapeno aioli lettuce wrap and my wife got the chicken fajitas. The chips and salsa were very good. I was a little nervous about the wraps but they were delicious also! They came with grilled zucchini which i enjoyed also. Very surprised since i typically enjoy the fatty wings and burgers. My wife enjoyed her fajitas also. The portions were large enough for leftovers tomorrow. All in all this place really earned a 5 from me. We will be back.....probably multiple times. read more

So I actually enjoyed my food and the service here. It's your typical beefs. However. I was finishing off my glass of wine and this guy was continually walking behind the bar. I thought it was strange but assumed he worked there. He then poured himself a beer in a cup he seemed to have pulled out of his bag and then touched just about every lime there was in the little thing they were cut up in. This is disgusting! I was appalled at what I saw and attempted to get a picture of him in action. However I was too slow. I still got a pic of him and that is what is attached to this post. This is absolutely disgusting. He touched at least 5 or 6 lime wedges and threw them back into the container. These limes are now going to end up in someone's drink. So awful! Ugh! read more

Quite hot whilst flavorful wings available here. This review narrowly focuses on the Wings combined with the service. Experience with anything else on the menu is fine but not part of my write up. Beef O' Brady's has consistently delivered top-tier wings. As such, it definitely sits in the Top-Tier of TLH wing joints. (Once I get busy with the overdue TLH's Top-Tier Wing Joints list, you'll see the others...). While I don't give any qualitative rank order in this top-tier, I do believe Beef's gets pole position in the quantitative order - in that I don't believe the hottest wings on the regular menu of anywhere else in town are higher than OR equal to the scoville heat indexing of Beef O'Brady's Nuclear-sauced wings. In short, Beef O'Brady's offers up the hottest regular-menu-item wing sauce options in town (again, in MY experience...). Beef's Nuclear sauce is Ghost-Pepper based. I've had some lackluster (in flavor) Ghost-Pepper sauces that light you up with ZERO reward. Beef's Nuclear wings light you up and at least you are rewarded with a remarkable flavor spectrum. But lit up you shall be. Nuclear is NOT for the timid. Hell... - I'll go ahead and say it. A dozen Nuclear is substantially above my comfort zone. Substantially. So - here's my routine. I order "Extra Hot" with Nuclear "on the side". I order a dozen. I make sure there is Blue Cheese sauce on standby. I reach for the closest flat, dunk it 1/3 into the Nuclear ramekin, and (with one of the flats bones already surgically removed) I pop that baby into the mouth in its entirety - and chew it about until I'm reminded that the last time I did this, I promised myself I should scale back in my scoville prowess. However, this is only "Extra Hot" with Nuclear on the side, so... the second one noticeably gets a slight dunk (1/16th of the wing length) with a little more generous dunk in the Blue Cheese. Yes, this means that I have "tainted" the Blue Cheese with trace amounts of Nuclear. I say "Trace" - but the discoloration is immediate...). Generally, wings #3-6 are consumed sans Nuclear, at the end of which I rethink my ways and, inflammation on the lips subsiding, I conveniently forget the initial wing experience of 10 minutes prior - so I repeat the process of wing #1. Here, I begin to do the following: 1. Remind my wife that she shares culpability, because "last time I did this, I said that I'd maybe not do this anymore - and... - I thought you'd help me remember that..." Meredith swiftly reminds me that I'm on my own. 2. wipe rivulets of sweat (perspiration would suggest something more civil) from all points of the forehead and occipital regions of the skull... 3. Rally for the finale - and take a couple more a la #1s until vision blurs, at which time I uncharacteristically wind down and suggest that a to-go container is in order. While I understand that commonly understood sadomasochism is "fringe behavior" - I present myself as a fairly "unfringe" kinda guy - one who certainly wouldn't frequent (or, more likely, be invited to) S&M soirees about the town. This gastronomic S&M is different. It compels me. Yes, it hurts - but, in the great balladier (Mellancamp's) words, it does "Hurt So Good." Have I had hotter-while-flavorful wings? - I confess I have. Twice. 1. Dead Parrot Wings at the Lazy Flamingo (Sanibel, FL) 2. Great menu-- Never know if you what comes out of the kitchen is gonna be good or not so good (salads comes out, two minutes later, the entrées are being delivered, had to use a separate table to accommodate the entire order. Another occasion,-- half cooked fries (that was takeout if that makes any difference). Someone in corporate should be evaluating this restaurant.-- As much as I would hate to see this restaurant go out of business, if you can't get consistent quality you might as will close it. Went to Beef o Bradys on Capitol Circle SE tonight My wife ordered chicken fajitas and I ordered a Rueben with curly fries. My Rueben had all the proper ingredients (dressing, sauer kraut and meat on toasted rye bread. The bread was perfectly toasted. The meat was good quality. But the volume of ingredients on this sandwich put it in the category of a poor sandwich. One side had two thin slices of meat. The other about 3 1/2 slices. There was little sauer kraut and dressing, making it mostly a bread sandwich. I just scraped everything off one side and put it on the other side so I had a little something to bite into and it have some meaningful flavor. I would rate this dish as a 2 out of 5. My wife's chicken fajitas were ok. My wife said the chicken was cooked pretty well though slightly not spiced enough. And she said the peppers could have been cooked a bit longer. The dish came with 3 6 inch tortillas. My wife said she would rate it a 3 of 5. Average. What disturbed us more than the quality of the food was the piped in music, mostly loud constipated grungy yelling rock music, perfect for the young workers there but not so great for the customers. There wasn't a customer in the place less than about 35-40 years old, three or four tables of customers at about 5:15 p.m. If I were running a restaurant, I'd cater to the customers age group in terms of music. The last time we were there months ago, the average age of the customers was about 50, in my opinion. The music back then didn't affect us. Tonight we were glad to get out of the place on the music alone. And I say that as a musician who has played rock music around town since the 60s. I don't hate music but when you want to relax and enjoy a meal, the music shouldn't challenge you. It's not a college bar. All in all, this is not a place we intend to revisit for a long while. read more

Has to be my worst experience with Beefs ever. This location is always good, but service was slow and the quality of fine food was really bad. My salad had slimy and brown lettuce in it. I picked out the bad pieces and put them on a napkin in front of me. 1) Server should have asked if my salad was OK after seeing all that lettuce. I was looking forward to wings and what I got was almost chicken Jerky. 2) The wings were so dry and crisp but the server never came back the entire time to ask - or I would have sent them back. I have a hard time finding food restaurants I can trust to eat at with my food allergies. Not only was Beef O Brady's food delicious, but the GM was very knowledgeable on what I could eat to avoid eggs and having an allergic reaction. The atmosphere was fun and the service was excellent! These little bozos could not suck a wing to save their life. I recently attended the 4th annual wing eating contest looking for a good time. What happened next was horrifying. I was sat at my seat and handed a "Jonas brothers trivia"? I just thought they were sponsored and went along with it. I answered a few questions, got none right. Little did I know every answer I played cost $3.99. I was not happy! I played 12 questions and was charged $48!!!!....... I decided I was not going to let that ruin my night, I came to suck some wings. After waiting for the snail house to be finished, the wing sucking was commencing. I was given a basket of 50 buffalo wings. I had some competition. I was going up against the world-renowned "Busty Bill" and "Margaret Food Reviews", I had my work cut out for me. I was sucking and slurping the wings using a special technique, leagues ahead of my competitors. It was smooth sailing until Busty Bill poured a gallon of homemade ranch on my basket. I. Was. FLAMING! I had two wings left and he knew I would win. The manager did not do anything and said it was fair. I was digging through the ranch sea that flooded my seat searching for two measly wings. But at last, Busty Bill beat me because he didn't have a ranch factory dumped on him. Mad, I stormed out of the restaurant without paying. Margaret Food Reviews chased after me and started vlogging!!!! That little dustball followed me all the way TO ORLANDO!!!!!! I needed to unwind and my Disney season tickets were still valid. I thought I had escaped Margaret but I was wrong. I went to my favorite snack bar to get a mickey pretzel, when suddenly, I was bombarded with people dressed in gnome suits with bottles of ranch. They poured it in all my nooks and crannies, I was covered head to toe in ranch. I drove home crying, I had to get my car deep cleaned due to the potent smell of chive. After moving to Tallahassee to attend graduate school, this spot quickly became one of my favorites. Beef 'O' Brady's has a little bit of everything to offer its patrons over a wide array food selections. For example, they have prototypical Sport's Bar varieties, hot wings, pizza, and burgers; but they also have salads, wraps, fish, and other dinner dishes as well. Another brilliant aspect of this place is that they have deals just about every day, like Taco Tuesdays, and Wing Wednesdays, just to name a few. These deals are complimented well with the overall environment of the establishment. It has a sports bar feel, but it is a very family friendly and oriented restaurant. They have plenty of TVs and are always accommodating to the needs of their customers when it comes to changing the channels, say if someone like myself wanted to watch the Oakland Raiders lose..... they will gladly change the channel as soon as I ask. The last, and most important, comment I'll make is that the staff is extraordinarily adept at assessing their customer's needs, all while being friendly and personable - a not so common trait in a college town, in my opinion - and that's what keeps us coming back. The beer and football doesn't hurt, either, but as a student with limited disposable income, it is nice to know there is a place that will always deliver when I want to watch a game, relax, or order too much beer. read more
