It was a total cockfest when they had their free drink night, the guy to girl ratio was 5:1. There was nobody named Nick in there. There were roaches and rats and I think I saw some retards lighting a fire on the roof too. DO NOT GO Day 2: The bar atmosphere definitely changed. Bar food was served, decorations were hung, alcohol variety increased, and customer service was not that bad. The bartender and one particular customer were being very rude to me though. The bartender was drinking hardcore on the job and so was the customer. I had a rough time the night before and morning of, yet they kept pressuring me to take shots. They would insult me, threaten to "milk" my gooch, and constantly bring up my non-American nationality. Towards the end after I was very intoxicated the scene got a bit better. The bartenders are experienced, their signature cocktails are well balanced and well known all around Tally. The service for the most part is friendly as long as you're not causing a disturbance. To be honest I don't think I ever ordered food at Township, so I can't really say much about it's dishes but what I can say is that the bartenders make pretty good drinks.

We ordered drinks around 1:50 AM and were peacefully enjoying them when, at 2:00 AM, a security guard aggressively demanded that I leave--even though I clearly explained I was waiting for my wife. Despite my calm explanation, he became confrontational and even violent. I immediately brought this to the attention of Matt, the manager, but to my surprise, he said nothing to the security guard and took no action whatsoever. We were left feeling unsafe and disrespected in what should have been a simple and enjoyable night out. This situation was completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of Township. There are far better places in town that prioritize the safety and dignity of their guests.

I tried their deep friend mushrooms. They were actually pretty good! But heads up. This place charges a mandatory gratuity of 18% on all orders with the exception of visitors coming in early M-Th. Add that on top of already high prices and you're in pretty deep. Advice: in Florida (and most states), paying mandatory gratuity charges are not actually required (or legal) and they cannot force you to pay it. If you're dissatisfied with your service, you can line out the mandatory gratuity and put in whatever you feel is appropriate. However, I've also heard that it may be legal as long as it is posted...which it was. I would have rated another star higher had it not been for the mandatory gratuity...which is the highest I've ever run into in my travels. As a single traveler, I don't feel the overall price was reasonable. So I won't be back.
