A group of four went to 347 Grille. First and foremost, it should be known that we made a reservation, but the night we went - it really was not necessary. Your mileage may vary. That said, we started off with sparkling water. Some in our party had wine, beer, and the like - I did not, so I cannot comment there. Complimentary bread was brought out, and from there, we ordered our mains. Scallops, fish, steak, even lobster graced our table. Richard was our waiter. He made recommendations and was attentive without being annoying. As for our mains, cannot say anything except about mine, which was the lobster and it was a generous portion. I had two meals out of it. I had to stop myself from eating more admittedly, as my companions wanted dessert. I tried a couple of spoonfuls of each chocolate dessert. They were rich. One was a chocolate cake slice, the other a chocolate sundae. Key lime pie was also ordered, but I didn't bother as I'm not a fan. At any rate, the dinner was a pleasant experience. I'd return for a special occasion as it's pricy.

    Steak is poor quality.

Steak was poor quality. Asparagus were tasty and mushrooms were full of salt I am happy to pay for an excellent meal but to pay that price for this food is a crime

Service: absolutely amazing!! Food: the chop was moist and well seasoned! The sides were great as well! The crab cake was to die for!!

    Brownie sundae!

Anniversary dinner was perfect! The flame grilled catch of the day is amazing. The service was spot on! We enjoyed watching the preparation of the Tallahassee winter parade from inside the restaurant.

First let me say we are huge Shula's fans and regulars at the Orlando location. This location didn't quite live up to the hype. The prices didn't make any sense. For example, they had an 8 ounce filet for $69 but 9 ounce filet medallions for $44. Does a steak not being cut in medallion form justify a 56% increase in price? Not to mention, the prices were even higher than the Disney location. When Disney is the "cheaper" alternative, something has gone horribly wrong with your pricing. Also, any Shula's fan will tell you that the iconic sourdough bread is arguably the highlight of the experience. It's the best bread in the history of restaurants. But this location didn't even have that. The bread they did have was by request only. Final strike against them: parking was valet only with no validation! Pretty sure no one in the world likes valet parking except people who work for valet parking companies. Not terrible, just short of the Shula standard. If you're not a rapacious lobbyist who is in Tallahassee because you earn big bucks swindling the public, this place is probably hard to afford.

Looks more like a Diner than an expensive Shula's Steakhouse! This is the Dining Room.

Shula would not be happy! This was one of the worst experiences I've had at any steakhouse, period. To begin, per my picture, the dining room looks more like a roadside Diner, not a $$$ Restaraunt. The shrimp cocktail was served with barely a drizzle of cocktail sauce, the filet was average at best, the mashed potatoes were runny and literally coated the plate about 1/8" think and mushrooms I just didn't care for...and on top of it they didn't credit me for the $25 hotel voucher provided. Just another reason to set out into the community and try the local hot spots vs the convenience of in hotel dining. First time in Tallahassee not starting out so great.

My friend and I met at the restaurant and were shown to a table. We wanted something a little quieter so we were moved. A large party of 10 came and sat adjacent to us, so, we asked to move once more. Once settled, we were served bread and water, then ordered a cocktail. The bread was nice and crusty. The cocktails were as ordered. We ordered an appetizer to share - squid ink pasta with seafood and fra diablo sauce. Quite tasty! For entrees, the fish of the day was red snapper piccata. Q We both ordered the snapper with sides of carrots with a brown sugar pecan glaze and Brussels sprouts with a balsamic drizzle. Our entrees arrived. Traditional Piccata is floured then sautéed in butter/olive oil, drippings are made into a lemon butter sauce with capers and parsley. What was served was a breaded the fried piece of snapper with what looked like a thin lemon parsley white sauce to pour over it and some fried crispy capers. The fish was nice white flesh, a thick breading, slightly overcooked. The almost green parsley laden lemon sauce was mediocre. The The The capers would have been better warmed in the skillet and not fried. Side dishes - the carrots were a platter of multi colored sautéed or blanched. The brown sugar glaze was scant and there were a Few nuggets of glazed pecans. Not as described by our server. The sprouts were crispy and had a tasty balsamic glaze. I felt the dish was mediocre and wished I'd ordered a steak. For dessert, I ordered the spumoni ice cream. Nothing like traditional layered spumoni I've had in the past. This seemed to be chocolate ice cream with some nuts and chocolate bits in it. Cherries non existent. I never mind spending money if the food quality is commensurate to the price. Our bill came to $200 + $40 tip. Far below my expectations.

**Review: Solid Steak Dinner at The Edison**…read more I had a pleasant dinner at The Edison recently and walked away satisfied, especially with the food. Service was just okay--nothing terrible, but the appetizers definitely took longer than expected to come out. That said, our server was genuinely good: friendly, knowledgeable, and checked on us at the right moments without being overbearing. The appetizers were worth the wait. Both the fried green tomatoes and the crab appetizer were excellent--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed. For the main course, the steak was spot-on: tender, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The potatoes that came with it were also really good--creamy and tasty without being heavy. We ended the meal with the bread pudding, and it was one of the best parts of the night. It was done perfectly: warm, moist, and full of rich, comforting flavor that didn't feel overly sweet. All in all, The Edison delivers on the food front. If you're after a reliable steak with some standout starters and a strong dessert, it's a solid choice. Ambiance was good, love the historic building. I'll definitely be back for the steak and bread pudding. Recommended!

It was extremely busy when we arrived so we decided to place a pickup order instead of dining in, thinking it would be quicker and easier. Unfortunately, our food still came out over 20 minutes later than the quoted time, which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering ahead but by that time we were starving and just happy to have some food in front of us. When we opened it up however, it was disappointing across the board. There was no sauce included at all, like not on the food itself and not packaged on the side. That meant everything was dry and pretty bland. I was actually kind of bewildered. We ended up going to another place nearby to grab some drinks so that we could choke down the dry food. Maybe it was just a fluke since this place has pretty good ratings or they we're just so overwhelmed that someone decided to leave the sauces off so that the food didn't get soggy and someone else forgot to put them in so that the food had flavor. Either way, this was a very disappointing meal.

When I read the email announcing tonight's Chef's dinner, we couldn't resist. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can fry an oyster better than Chef. Perched atop a great classic--deviled egg with bacon bits--the oyster was tender with a light batter-fried coating. Chef's duckfat cornbread drizzled with just the right amount of avocado butter provided the perfect podium on which two blackened shrimp lightly dusted with a hint of subtle spices rested. If you know me, you know I don't like my food to hurt me, and this dish met my requirements with a whisper of, "Here I am." Now, my hubby doesn't like anything with coffee, so he was worried about the hickory smoked chicken with espresso molasses BBQ sauce. However, he admitted the sauce didn't have any hint of coffee and, in fact, it was a delicious complement to the chicken. As for the pancetta Mac 'n' Cheese, its creamy cheesiness balanced out the smokiness of the chicken. Chef Joseph often offers one of his Pot de Crème varieties to finish a meal.
