Stopped in again with my husband and everything was again, amazing! Cocktails- hummingbird nectar, and the garden of youth were on point.

Fabulous place! Very large inside and outside seating. There were 8 of us with 2 young children. Nice drink menu. For diner I had the Cobb Salad. All fresh ingredients with homemade ranch. It was huge! My husband ordered the pepper steak sandwich. Both meals were tasty. Others in our party ordered dessert. Sage crème brûlée and bread pudding. Both were awesome

Visiting my sister in Tallahassee, she recommended this spot--and it did not disappoint. The place is decorated so cute and the outside seating is beautiful. You can go visit the farm on your way out which was super nice we got to see bunnies, chicks, and roosters. Now for the food.. from the mocktails to the appetizers and entrees, everything was incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. You can really taste the farm-to-table quality in every dish. The menu felt unique and creative, and even the desserts stood out. Overall, such a great dining experience--I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Stopped here again on another road trip, lunch this time. The food and service were both amazing as before. I got to look around their garden this time and see many of the fruits, vegetables and herbs they grow for use in the restaurant. Fresh food, flavorful sauce combinations, and some of their sauces and food items are available for sale up front. Took home some sun dried tomatoes with basil and blueberry jalapeño reduction.

Cute little place right off the highway. Farm to table. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was average.

What a wonderful lunch we had today at Backwoods Crossing with Alexz caring for us. We started with Crossroads Eggs over collards then Alexz helped us to plan our meal, which included Basil Buttons, Blue Crab & Corn bisque, and the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. A delightful blend of flavors, perfectly choreographed (and beautiful!) The bisque was so good that we had to take another serving to go! Thank you for a lovely break filled with nourishing food and surrounded with laughter and serenade. We will see you soon BC!

Don't let the simple exterior fool you--this place is exceptional. It's a true farm-to-table restaurant, complete with a large garden out back and a smaller one in the front, which really adds to the fresh, local feel. We started with the Crossroad Eggs with pork collard greens, topped with their house-infused vinegar (so good). I'm usually not a fan of collards, but these were so flavorful I found myself finishing them for the table. For entrées, we ordered the catfish filet with grits and collards, Shrimp with Spirit salad, and the Season's Greens salad--each dish was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The drinks came in mason jars with fresh lime, which added a fun, rustic touch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging, making the whole experience even better. This is an absolute must-visit the next time you're in Tallahassee.

A wide menu of beverages, burgers, steaks, seafood, and desserts. Excellent service even on a busy Saturday night. Only a 25min wait in the speak easy. Charming farm style ambiance, smiles and easy on the eyes food plates coming out to eager patrons. The key lime pie with home made style base was the perfect topper on a lovely night of dining at this Farm to Table experience.

This 4-star rating is based on the amazing customer service, the ambiance, and the garden/farm animals outback. The food alone, unfortunately would've made this more of a 2-3 star! This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is so unique and special. It takes farm to table to a new meaning. They have a beautiful outdoor garden, sitting area and a beautiful garden in the back, which they use to cook their recipes and prepare their drinks with. Again, unfortunately the food fell completely flat. Fresh but flat. We got the catfish nuggets, crab cakes, and a bevy of other dishes. I was mostly disappointed with the crabcakes, which were mostly filling. It had very little crab meat. Additionally, the other food lacked seasoning . I would absolutely return to this restaurant for drinks and possibly another try at the food. I recommend you give it a try, too.

On our drive from Orlando to Mobile, we got to Tallahassee around dinner time. I knew this was a DDD favorite, so we stopped in. I am so glad we did. The freeze (Feb 26) took out the outside gardens, bvut the greenhouse was in good shape. The micro greens and herbs survived. The outside of the restaurant looks like it should be a fishing shack, but the inside looks like your favorite relatives' backwoods cabin. All finished and well-worn wood tables, cabinets, doors, etc. We were seated right away and water and drinks were served. We ordered the Crossroad Eggs, 2 cups of Blue Crab Corn Bisque, a garden salad, battered fries and we split a Bleu Sky Burger. I can't say which was my favorite, so we'll have to go back. Now I know why Guy F. likes it so much.

I love this place! Food and drinks are great. But the land and all that comes on it? Priceless. Want a gem in the middle or the city. They have so many amazing plants, flowers, fruit trees, chickens, chicks, turkeys, ducks and bees. So much fun I come here whenever I can't!!

You know I'm going to fall in love the moment I see kitties feeding on the porch of a restaurant. Seriously, let's me know they care! The service was very nice and fast. We sat at the bar top and were quickly offered drinks and menus. This spot is a GEM! I had the seafood and grits and it was delicious and very rich. Husband had the ribeye and it was also very tasty and the mashed potatoes were amazing. The restaurant was very busy so it was a bit loud inside but the lighting made it relaxing after a long day of travel. This farm to table restaurant has my heart and we will return for sure!

Though you cannot enjoy a cigar inside they have a nice covered area outside the lounge. Spirit availability was impressive for the size lounge. I was interested in Redbreast Irish Whiskey and they had 12, 15, and wow 21!!! The lounge inside was what I consider small, bar seating, and some table and comfortable chairs. The outside area was covered. Comfortable chairs with tables and ashtrays to handle about 25+/-. Two TV's. There are standing fans and heaters. There was no service to the outside area, so you picked-up your choice of spirit and got comfortable outside. We enjoyed our spirit and cigars with no one complaining about the smoke. It happened to be a very rainy night and the north area was a bit flooded, but no leaks from above. Pro Great selection of spirits. Cigar and I think cigarettes, evidence by butts in the ashtrays, are allowed outside. The inside lounge was very clean, as well as the two unisex bathrooms. Con The flooded area was unfortunate, but there was only three of us, and it didn't cause an issue. The Ashtrays had been mostly emptied, but not wiped down. Really not inviting to rest your cigar on a dirty ashtray. An easy wipe with a microfiber goes a long way. Not really a Con, but there was no Service outside on the Tuesday night we visited. Overall a nice experience for a dreary night. My friends and I will return, hopefully on a nicer evening. Note: If you don't bring your own cigar, the liquor store has a small selection available right next door.

I noticed nicely dressed individuals looking like they were enjoying some cocktails, wine and brews with their pals. I immediately texted my gfs and told them that we must try it out for our next girls night out. With that said, the following Saturday evening, we did! The parking was easy to handle. As we approached The Bar at Betton, I noticed indoor and outdoor seating areas, high tops, etc. The music was lightly playing in the background while sounds of conservation between friends were heard. A great gathering spot! I liked it so far. We walked in the doors, looked for a spot at the bar to sit (to the left) and was greeted immediately, WaY to GO Bar Staff! We ordered a few drinks - I tried a specialty cocktail named, "Champs-Elyssee" - it was a great ! Then, we talked with the bartender a bit and went about enjoying our girls night out. I snapped a photo of the menu because each dish that was served to other customers looked really good. Moistened my palate and smelt good too! Before leaving, we visited the restrooms which are located outside of the building. I thought that was neat too. Clean and stocked. Always a good thing! Anywho - I am glad I got to try The Bar at Betton out. I will be back and can't wait to try out the food sometime.
