I traveled to Saginaw to have lunch with a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation…read more But the food was underwhelming. My friend liked his burger, and he said it was cooked to his liking. As it was very hot on the date of my visit, I felt like a cold sandwich. The choices were minimal. And the "Club Wrap" that I chose was indeed cold as desired; however, the taste was non-existent. The cold cuts were limp and probably of the cheapest quality available. The wrap was just a typical flour tortilla. I added a "premium side" of the street corn. Having a great deal of experience with this dish, I found it surprisingly good. I could easily see myself ordering this again. The server was quite attentive, but the restaurant was not particularly busy, given that it was around 1 pm when we arrived. Lastly, with a multitude of TVs (a sports bar, after all), one or two TVs could be chosen, along with the available sound. The cacophony of multiple broadcasts did detract. If there had been more people in the bar, the sound would have been somewhat muffled. I doubt that I will make a second visit.

I ended up going to Hooters on Cinco de Mayo while traveling for work. Originally, I wanted to find…read morea Spanish restaurant, but it didn't work out, so I ended up here instead. The NBA playoff games were on that night too, and unfortunately they didn't have access to the specific game I wanted to watch because it was on a different streaming package. As a sports fan, I'm not going to lie -- that hurt a little bit . For a sports-style restaurant, you always hope they've got every game available. But at the same time, I understand all those subscriptions add up. Even with that, I stayed and ordered the 10-piece garlic Parmesan wings along with a chicken quesadilla. The ranch was actually really good -- good enough that I ordered three extra ranch cups to take home with me. I didn't finish all my food there, but I stayed for the atmosphere and overall vibe before heading back out. The customer service was good, the restaurant wasn't overly packed, and overall I really don't have anything negative to say about the experience. I don't know how often I'd necessarily go out of my way to visit a Hooters these days, but for this visit, it was still a solid stop.

Love Buffalo Wild Wings food and atmosphere!…read more Atmosphere is the same as everyone has came to love! Our server Stacey (wore red shirt) was absolutely AMAZING!!!! She was prompt with greeting our large group (12), took our order, promptly offered refills before our drinks were empty and cleared our dirty plates!!! 5 stars to Stacy!!! However, today's food was not so great... We pay extra for celery & carrots. The celery was great! The carrots looked dry, cracked, and unappealing! We requested new carrots from our wonderful server and she informed us that all the carrots "appear" that way but they are safe to eat. She suggested we could get more celery in place of the carrots or speak to the manager on duty. We spoke to the manager on duty, Joshua. He was very friendly and informative. He told us that corporate changed the supplier, the carrots are edible and taste just fine. However, he does not like carrots so he would not try it. The carrots do not look good or pleasing to eat.... Would you eat these carrots???

Well, the name is kinda appropriate. You'll find MANY big ugly fishes in this place…read more And by fish, I mean both the swimming kind that are mounted on the wall, as well as the big ugly kind that swim in their pitchers of PBR. Seriously though, for a dive bar in downtown Saginaw the place is not half bad. Especially if you consider that you're not one block away from at least two boarded up foreclosure houses. So my rating for this is a little on a sliding scale considering the area. There is DEFINITELY better places you can go in Saginaw, but I doubt in the downtown area.
