Wow ! Top rated service and exceptional food ! Pricey, but take advantage of their birthday promotion. There is a reason this dining establishment has been around for so long . I am still dreaming of the bananas foster I had for dessert . Couldn't ask for a better birthday meal !

Buffalo Chophouse is one of my favorite places to go for a special occasion. I always get the stuffed peppers as a starter to share across the table (they come with three large peppers). This time I ordered the 8oz filet with Maytag butter, and our table shared the mac and cheese as a side which was SUPER cheesy. Service was exceptional as always! Zaria and Thomas checked on us frequently and were super helpful and friendly. We can't wait to come back again!

I went here for work dinner, and it blew the doors off! When you walk in, you feel like you're in a old English pub looking around at the huge expanse of Bar and all the overhead and just the beautiful wood and very proper seating. The restaurant really has a very large amount of space and could see many a party if needed. The drinks we had were exceptional, I'm looking at you, Mediterranean Mule! We had a large party and ordered several different kinds of appetizers, including oysters, and calamari. All of it was exceptional, and the display was perfect perfection. I ended up going with the 8 ounce fillet and the jumbo shrimp, with a side of peppercorn sauce. It was perfectly cooked, medium, rare, and the shrimp were outstanding! Our server was always just the right amount of there, and never not there at the same time, he was like a magician!

Recently went to dinner at Buffalo Chophouse with a friend who travels a lot who raved that the steak was easily in her top 5 favorite from all the places she has ever eaten! We ordered the candied bacon, mashed potatoes, creamed Spanish, ribeye and lamb and everything was superb. It was all cooked to perfection and flavored beautifully! On top of that, the servers were attentive and made great recommendations. The building was beautiful and it made for a very quiet, relaxing meal with a friend! It's on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality of the food you get. I will definitely be back! Buffalo Chophose is the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or special occasion if you want a nice, relaxing dinner.

The Scarlet Vetter says.....my husband and I took a couple of friends here for dinner on a Thursday night. The Restaurant is lovely, spacious, yet also cozy and warmly lit. The bar is fabulous with ample seating. We were seated in the adjoining building space on the second floor. It was quite nice because we did not feel crowded in with other diners. We ordered drinks (lemonade and a Pinot Grigio, and a bottle of red wine--a nice, reasonably priced Pinot Noir. For appetizers, we ordered the flying shrimp, which was nicely presented, a French Onion Soup, and the Stuffed Peppers. The shrimp were super yummy, as were the peppers which we all shared. My husband said the french onion soup was delicious! Then for our entrees we ordered the Salmon and various steaks. For my steak, I ordered the Delmonico, medium rare, with shrimp and the Gorgonzola sauce. The Steak was very sizeable and perfectly cooked. Tender on the inside and a great crunchy char on the outside. The shrimp were huge and succulent, and the sauce, simply delicious. Our friend wanted to order the Gorgonzola Sauce too, but she wasn't sure she would like it so the waiter kindly brought her a sample! We ordered sides of sautéed mushrooms and broccolini for the table and we each had a baked potato. Seriously, they were the biggest baked potatoes I have ever seen. Our friend got the loaded baked potato and it could have fed the whole table! I really enjoyed my baked potato and just ordered it with butter and sour cream. Yum. I could only eat a quarter of it as it was humongous. I could also only eat about a third of my steak, so both went home with me for another meal. Everyone else raved about their steaks and the Salmon as well, and again, they each went home with another meal. For dessert, we ordered the mile high chocolate cake for two and the bananas foster. The Cake was like one quarter of a cake, enough for a table of 4, and the bananas foster was absolutely scrumptious. In all, this was a great meal......very memorable. The service was also outstanding. The damage was about $600 before tip, so about $180 each, when all was said and done wirh gratuity. I would highly recommend a meal at this restaurant, even though it was pricey!! Eating out these days is generally expensive, so it is wonderful when the experience and the food justifies the cost.

I walked back into the Chophouse like a man who had unfinished business with a steak. The flying shrimp appetizer kicked things off. They didn't actually fly, but if they had, I would've chased them with zero shame. Crispy, perfect, gone almost immediately because I have no self control when food tastes that good. Then the steak arrived. So tender I'm convinced it was raised on positive affirmations and spa days. The salmon came right after, buttery and cooked so perfectly that I briefly considered writing it a thank-you note. Everett was handling service again, and I'm now fully convinced he has superpowers. Drinks never hit the halfway point. Plates vanish at the exact moment you think "huh, I'm done with that." He's a hospitality ninja. Then the manager slid over with the greatest plot twist in dining history: "Dessert's on us." Suddenly I'm sitting there with a sundae and bananas foster like I've just won a culinary lottery. The bananas foster lit up like it was performing for an audience, and I was absolutely cheering on the inside. Let's hope this got me on the fridge again! P.S the movie is called "The revenge of La Llorona"

The food was absolutely delicious and the service is great. That mile high chocolate cake is 10/10, better than most bakeries. I had the bone in ribeye unfortunately it was a little tough wish I had gotten the Delmonico. My husband and son had the Delmonico and it was delicious and tender. All of the sides were great. Paid for truffle butter in my steak and it was no there. I thought maybe it melted before getting to me but I did not taste any. Overall though I was very satisfied. My add on lobster was the star. So juicy and delicious.

FIVE Stars! From the staff to the service to the food, it was a wonderful experience. When I called to make the reservation, the young hostess couldn't have been lovely. She accommodated me on short notice. When we got there. We were greeted by several hostesses, and helped to our table. The restaurant is accessible and has clean accessible restrooms. Our server. Ruben was professional. As was his assistant. They made suggestions and offered recommendations. The roles were fresh and melted in your mouth. The butter was straight from the farm. I had the wedge salad, and I will be remembering it for weeks to come. My steak was cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed how they seen it and charred and sealed it on the outside. The homemade potato chips were phenomenal. The building looks to be very old and has incredible architectural design and character. I think it's a brick building with interesting wooden beams, a beautiful staircase with red iron handrail and it reminded me of a 1920s. Speak easy. It was a beautiful setting, and a very relaxing place to enjoy a wonderful dinner with a colleague. It was not too noisy, not too quiet, not too crowded and really afforded a perfect dinner. Highly recommend. If you go to Buffalo that you try this wonderful spot. Thank you, Ruben for a memorable dinner.!!!!!!

Was taken here as a birthday gift which I was grateful for no doubt! But food wise this steak house was sub par at best . Even though my steak was cooked to perfection I felt like the rolls were hard , scallop dish had no taste whatsoever, poor presentation and from the looks of it over priced. Felt I could have had a better meal at the Texas Roadhouse smh.

Ask the Community - Buffalo Chophouse

Traveling to Buffalo for business. Hate sitting alone at a table but I'm always on the lookout for a good steak. Do they have bar seating?

Yes they do have a bar area..it's a very decent size one

Can I wear jeans and a nice top here? I'm pregnant and don't really have any dressy bottoms.

I think if they are a dark rinse denim, they'll be fine. Especially with a nice top! Thick tights and a tunic top/dress would be a good alternative as well!

The protein choices are: 4 flavors of chicken, 2 flavors of tri-tip steak, Korean BBQ pork or tofu. The protein is served on purple rice with a side of Cole slaw. For our additional sides( choices were sweet potatoes, rosemary potatoes, Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese. I picked both of the potato sides. The Cole slaw seemed watery, and the steak, which had nice flavor, was a bit chewy. I think tri-tip tends to be tougher as it has little or no fat on it. The potatoes and rice were nice and flavorful. I have had very good bowl meals here in the past. I think the bowls, with more ingredients served together, is a better flavor boost than "the Box".

I miss Cafe 59...and used to overlook the fact that potato wedges aren't included with the sandwiches, the falafel burger is always mushy in the middle, they don't include enough dressing with their salads...and things are sloppily prepared. I overlooked all of that because they use whole foods and the taste was decent. Fast forward to 2025, I've included a photo of a turkey burgundy sandwich with a small bag of Lay's (weird choice, but ok) and a pickle spear, which costs $17.25 before you even add tax or tip. What?? I totally get that costs are rising for everyone including restaurants, but this isn't in line with what you can get at other places, even on the same street. If you can't sell your original menu at reasonable prices anymore, then you need to adjust it. We won't be back.

I tried the Caesar Salad, the fish taste overwhelmed the dish in an unappetizing way. I couldn't taste the parmesan or lemon or any other flavors. The croutons were tough and tasteless. I also got the French Onion Hummus to share, absolutely delicious, we've had it before. The restaurant is located just inside the center of the museum, and there was live music in the middle courtyard just outside the restaurant. The ambience was a cool vibe - there is this huge mural on one wall, and the opposite wall is glass from floor to ceiling looking out (to where the live music was). The tables were so simple but had flowers and cool table lamps. I started with a glass of wine, and we split the whipped feta as an appetizer. They also brought some fresh bread with balsamic olive oil. Both fantastic and warmed my soul. I ordered the Filet, and it was so perfectly seasoned and cooked - I mean, can't really go wrong with steak that's drizzled with bacon butter! The others ordered the salmon with squid ink pasta and the scallops. All were so beautifully plated and delicious. And we ended with the Ube Creme Brulee which was a great way to end the night. We ended up being there for about 2 hours. I wouldn't recommend dinner if you just looking for a quick bite. I'd go for more of an experience. Not that the service was slow, but I think the kitchen and wait staff were just thoughtful with their creating, plating, and serving. Hoping that they change their menu up every so often so we can try more creations!
