This store never seems to have laundry scent I need. They always have to make it or can't make it till couple of days later. There for I'm always have to buy a new scent for laundry, the booster and the wool balls. 50 + dollars every time for laundry is getting out of hand and having to wait 30 mins every time. read more

This place is my absolute favorite place to get great smelling soaps and great smelling laundry detergent. The staff is always friendly. The sense are wonderful and it's so fun to go in there and explore. My fave products are the laundry soap, the bar soap and the shower oil. It's a must try for sure. read more

This is the Buff City Soap in Alpharetta, Georgia, Forsythe County. It was my first time in one, even though I think there's one close to Jacksonville, FL, my stomping grounds. I loved all the variety of bar soaps, foamy pump and granular soaps. The clothing detergent is being used by my daughter as I type this and we purchased some vanilla bean lip balm--very smooth! She got some bath oil, too. Her favorite scent is Narcissist but I liked the one that had "Island" in its title. The staff was very informative and helpful. The prices might be a bit on the high side but the products are natural and useful! You can also get a discount if you come back for refills on your clothes washing detergent. read more

The staff here is resilient and kind. Betty and Gwennie were patient and helpful despite being very busy and having some incredibly ridiculous customer scenarios to handle ahead of us. This was my first visit. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but was provided detailed explanations once inside. Several fragrances caught my attention, but we settled on a beard balm and soap for hubby. I'll be honest, the customers made it challenging to enjoy the experience. For me, customer service is SUCH a big factor for leaving a good review for a place. Buff City Soap is located at Halcyon in Alpharetta. As soon as you enter, your sense of smell is tantalized with aromas from the soaps on the shelves, and being made on site. An employee came over and explained the layout of the store, how things are shelved, the demo sink area, and was very friendly and informative. They have seasonal soaps that they make only 85 of. I got the St. Patrick's day soap. It was so cute, with two little treasure "gold coins" at the top. Because I got a seasonal soap, I was gifted a St. Patrick's day shamrock necklace. That was cute! Talk about fun store! They have soaps that have extra shea too, for more moisture. Soaps can also be custom made. If you haven't been, yuh need to check it out. If you don't like the products, I mean, it happens, but go and see and smell. They offer bath bomb making and group events. BYOB. I got a sample of their laundry soap when I got the St. Patrick's day soap bar. Looking fwd to trying that. read more

Easily a 10/10 business. First to mention..PERFECT location. I stopped by this business around the first couple days it opened and I instantly loved it, it had a happy and quirky vibe to it. It has the bubbly workers, clean environment, and obviously...smells AMAZING! My family and I buy all of our household soaps here because we can never get enough. My favorite scent is, "Pink Sugar". I have the body butter in this scent and it's such a well thought out product, to explain it, it's a oily lotion (I know weird description). You can buy small versions of pretty much everything besides, bars of soap, bath bombs and a couple other products. I just recently bought this one specific product that I just now have seen, it's a face bar. I am not a huge skincare type of person but I will be keeping one of these in my house for a while. It is by FAR my favorite product Buff City Soap has. It cleans your face so well!! My daughter had been begging me to go here and get her some soap, so finally, I can now say I've been in a Buff City. This particular location is in the Halcyon. It looks so brand new and it's super clean. The staff here was really friendly, and they even had dog biscuits for our pup that we brought in. They handmake their soaps here. They are plant based so yes, that means no animal fats! They have al kinds of fun scents like cherry almond and cedar and campfire beer, say what? The names are super cutesy too. They don't just have soap. They have soap whip! What's that, you say? It's a creamy jar of goodness. You need just a little and it will lather into a heavenly goodness. There is a huge variety of scents you can choose from and you can get bars, foaming soap or the whips. They even have laundry stuff like dryer balls and scent boosters..oh my! Lip balms and gift sets...they really have it all. You can even do a Buff City party, which sounded like a lot of fun. I really wanted to do a two person with my daughter but you have to be 18 because they do work with lye for their soaps but the bath bombs are okay. I don't like baths though so that's a no for me. Watch for sales, because it's easy to overspend here. It's eye and nose candy for your senses. Get ready! read more

I had a horrible experience at Buff City Soap Halcyon located in Alpharetta yesterday on 12/26/21. I had gotten a sample in a mystery box I bought during the grand opening that I loved so I came back in November with the sample to get a full size. The sample said "La Rose" body butter on it and the lady said it was just rose so she had someone make it for me. I did not get an offer to smell it and did not ask to smell it. I paid and left. I got home and when I tried the body butter it did not smell the same as my sample. I saw on the receipt it said I had 60 days for returns so I came back the next time I could which was yesterday in order to get a return as I was disappointed I did not get the right item and just wanted my money back. The lady working this time was very rude to me. I did not get her name but she was an older blonde lady. The first thing she said after I explained what was wrong with the item was that it was used. It was not used except that one time I took a little bit out just to try it but I did not use it since it did not smell right like the sample. The lady kept telling me it was the right scent but I told her it was not. She said she could not do a return so she had to call her manager who was on lunch. She called him and it took 20 minutes for him to come back. As soon as he came back, he also started accusing me of using it and said that they do not have anything called "la rose". He also said since I got it in in a mystery box, it would have the ingredients on the paper that came with the box. It did not and I told him this. He said he wanted a picture of the sample and paper so someone at home had to go through the trouble of finding the product and paper and sending a picture. As soon as I showed him the picture, he rolled his eyes and started blaming other people because the sample item said "la rose" while the paper said "le rose" with no ingredients. He told me that it was lemongrass and rose and then said he would fix the body butter but said he could not do a refund. He also tried saying I bought the item over a month ago but the receipt itself says you have 60 days for returns and refunds. It was not my fault that the item was made wrong the first time and then I was accused of lying about both the scent and using the item. The manager working there (whose shirt said Buckhead on the back so I do not know if he was the actual manager of the Halcyon location) was the rudest person I have ever met and treats his customers like he does not care. I have died and went to soap heaven! Buff City Soap is located in Halcyon and has the best soaps and so much more! I came by to check this place out during one of their Grand Opening days. They were offering so many promos, deals and giveaways! The store is huge and offers walls of different scented handmade soaps! Each bar of soap is clearly labeled with their ingredients and a great description of the scent. There are plenty of staff available on the floor to help you find what you need and answer any questions. BCS prides themselves on having soap that is made in-house daily with simple, plant based ingredients. You even have the option to customize your own bar of soap if you so desired! They also sell more than soap: laundry detergent, beard oil, hand scrubs, dryer balls, shower oils, & even pet soap to name a few! Their prices are not too bad either: $7-9 for a bar of soap and $7 for a bath bomb! I also picked up one of their soap loofahs and it was the best $4 I've spent. It has a drawstring opening, where you can place the soap inside the loofa to use. I also bought one of their mystery boxes for $7 to give as a Christmas gift! Word on the street is that it has over $30 worth of sample size products in it, so I thought it was a great deal. Plus, who doesn't live a mystery box?! Laundry soap is very nice! I have not had scented laundry soap in over a decade but I am committed to using this one. no skin reactions and the kids love it! I do not care for the texture of the body butter but the soaps are beautiful and wonderful! I tried a bath bomb too, and I like that it had the right amount of oil in it which was very moisturizing. We just left Buff City Soap. Walked in, no one greeted us. Had picked up 3 things to buy when another customer walked in. Girl came from the back with red hair greeted her and immediately started helping her. I guess they help and greet their customers based on their preferences. We left.
