Disappointed With My Pedicure…read more I've gotten my hands/nails done here before and they were amazing, so I decided to come back this time for a pedicure. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. All of my toes are either too short or crooked, and they don't match each other at all. They're also messy, with gel left on my skin. I've already had to go home and fix the shapes myself and remove the gel from around my toes. I told her multiple times that my toes were crooked, and she only fixed one of them. For $50, I'm honestly pretty upset because this was not worth the money. If you want your hands/nails done, I would definitely recommend American Nails. However, if you're looking to get a pedicure, I would recommend going somewhere else in Dawsonville called Angels Nails and Spa for a pedicure. Unfortunately, I would not come back here for my toes.

Actually, I texted and they responded right away. Lucky for me, their newest stylist Emily was available at the date and time I needed. I arrived about ten minutes early. The salon is so stinkin cute, even from the outside. Plenty of parking on the side and the back of the salon. I was greeted as soon as I entered, and my stylist, Emily was ready and waiting for me. Although all the stylists wore masks, they did not require customers to. Since I was in a time crunch, I decided to wash my hair prior to the appointment and just had Emily do a dry style. I briefly explained to Emily what I wanted, loose curls with a little bounce and she gave me exactly that. My hair normally takes forever to curl, but we were done in under 45 minutes! The dry styling only cost $30 and I loved how my hair turned out. Would definitely come back!

Each time I've been over here I am super happy with my nails and how nice everyone is! The place is clean and modern, and everyone is so friendly. I had an extremely upsetting experience at this establishment that I feel needs to be addressed…read more When I walked in, no one greeted me. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes, and not a single employee acknowledged my presence or attempted to assist me. However, they did all see me walk through the door. .Shortly after, two Caucasian women entered the salon and were immediately greeted. A man even came out from the back, walked directly past me without saying a word, and went straight to help them--even though I was standing in front of them and they arrived 10 minutes after I did. Please note, I am a Black American. At that point, I calmly asked him why I was being ignored as if I were invisible. He had no explanation. The way I was treated was deeply disrespectful and felt like racial discrimination. No customer should be made to feel overlooked or less important. Based on this experience, I will not be supporting this establishment and I will not recommend to others. I will also be contacting the BBB to share my experience.

One day while the hubs and I were out running errands, I saw the bright neon "open" sign from afar. I gasped so loud my husband nearly wrecked the car. I can't express how happy I was to see that neon sign lit up! My husband read the cues and pointed the car towards Sun Nails. They couldn't take me in that day. They are only accepting appointments at this time to limit the number of customers inside at a time. I made an appointment for a few days later and dreamed about how nice my nails would look with a fresh mani for the next three days. I showed up a few minutes early for my appointment. There were three other customers who were already being taken of. Safety precautions were in place. I was asked to sanitize my hands right away. The techs wore masks and sat customers apart from each other. David worked on my hands and moved back and forth between me and another lady. I later found out that they had x amount of nail techs scheduled for that day, however, only two of them showed up. This caused a delay, but I was fine with waiting. I had already waited 6 weeks, what's another 30 minutes or so? I was just happy to be seen. I spent three glorious hours in this salon. Maya worked on my toes and she was fantastic! She was very thorough and applied just enough pressure. When it comes to pedicures, I don't want gentle. David did a fabulous job as well. I left feeling like a brand new woman!
