I told her I did not want to bleach my hair, and she said that was fine and that they could still get me close to the cherry red without bleach. Based on that, I trusted what she was telling me and went through with the service. Unfortunately, I got nothing close to what I asked for. My hair actually looks darker than it did before, and there is barely any noticeable red. What frustrated me even more was the stylist acting like there was so much red showing and pointing it out to me. I kept trying to see what she was seeing, but honestly, there was barely a difference. I understand that I wasn't going to get the exact bright cherry red without bleach, but I was specifically told they could get me close, and this is nowhere near close. I was also supposed to get a blowout, and the picture shows what I left with. My hair looked flat and unfinished, not like I had just paid to have it professionally blown out. I'm not someone who expects an impossible result, especially after choosing not to bleach my hair. But if getting anywhere close to the color I wanted wasn't realistic, I wish they would've just been upfront with me instead of telling me they could do it. I spent my money expecting at least a noticeable red and a professional blowout, and I left with darker hair and a result I didn't ask for. I spent about 3.5 hours there so I only got a small taste of the atmosphere but the students (or up and coming professionals) were very nice and eager to learn which was so settling. I will say it does seem some are more experienced in/ or like certain things more than others so go in with patience and an open mind. The place was clean, completely up to par with any other professional place and comfortable. Prices are great. Some tips: understand these people are in training, you may hear them being corrected on technique but don't be alarmed, be patient- you chose to go to a place people are learning so it may take extra time. BRING CASH TO TIP (they deserve it and can't take credit card tips) Speaking as a student from another trade, communicate kindly and let them grow from any mistakes BUT I doubt you'll experience any bc I had such a wonderful outcome!!!!
