Color and trim. Just to clean it up. Not cut it ! My hair is destroyed, thinned out uneven layers bangs so short you can't move them with my straight hair. She has been cutting my hair since January. Went to 4 salons to see if anything could be done and was told my only choice is a pixie. I had just shown her a picture from the week before and I love it. So she made it as disjointed and uneven. I was asked if I had it cut by the shampoo girl at great clips. Also was my money refunded. Paid $200 to have my hair destroyed for at least the next 6 months. I was told she clearly did want she wanted and customer be damned. Stay as far away from this chop shop. Areas of my hair in front where I have entire space between areas that I look bald! I would have given a 0 review had it been an option. With a wedding next Saturday you will never understand the gravity of this. I have told everyone I can who hasn't seen it and I will continue. My son and I both get our hair cut at Aria. We have done multiple services there including cuts, color, and perms and always been pleased. When my sons didn't turn out once (perm wasn't as curly as he wanted) they re-did it no problem. It's a friendly, casual vibe in the best location right in downtown Alpharetta. read more

I'm shocked at what I witnessed at Aria Salon. In the evening I watched as one of the stylist approached a girl by the front desk and commanded that she leave. He did this infront of clients and employees. As she left quietly he yelled "F-- you" to the girl. This is a place of business and I'm shocked the professionals at this salon act this way. read more

I have never wrote a bad review for a hair salon until now. I came into the salon with dark brown hair and wanted balayage and the hairstylist fried my hair with bleach, and left me with orange brassy hair, I ended up bawling my eyes out and the owners were nice enough to say it will get fixed same day after seeing that my hair was ORANGE. The new hair stylist was amazing and did the best she could to fix it but I still did not leave with what I wanted (OR EVEN CLOSE TO IT) and I still paid almost $300 (including tip), I was in the salon from 9am-5:45pm and still paid that much to not leave with what I wanted and damaged hair. I do not recommend going here after the TERRIBLE experience I had. read more

After consulting with my stylist, she completed a form outlining each procedure we agreed to, highlights, toner, etc, and the itemized and total cost. No surprises or miscommunication, very professional. I was offered refreshments and made comfortable. So happy the sinks have head supports; no more straining my neck, complete comfort! My highlights were beautifully done and I found the price to be reasonable. The salon stays busy and my stylist moved on to her next client as my hair processed, but I never felt neglected. Her assistant (read intern working her way through hair stylist school) took care of my shampoo and blow dry. My only complaint (and reason for 4 stars when it should be 5) is she was a little slow and awkward. But my final result was exactly what I wanted. read more

Y'all I am so #blessed right now. I had an appointment at another salon and the receptionist had messed up my appointment date in the system, so I was straight up Desperately Seeking Hair Services at 10am on a Thursday and I needed those hair services *that day*. I called Aria Alpharetta in a panic and they said, "Fear not, dear child, for we have availability today with magnificent hair artists." *makes sign of the cross. *busts out rosary beads. Guys, my hair looks amazing. I've been a bottle blonde since my days of sun-in in the late 1980s. Not real sure what my real color is, but really--who cares!? Two weeks after my spur-of-the-moment appointment and my highlights are still close to the scalp. No bleed line. No hot spots. It looks fantastic--the best I've had in ages. Sabrina did the color and I wholeheartedly recommend her forever and ever, amen. The salon is busy but clean, organized, friendly, and they have lots of amazing Aveda products for you to purchase (and they are the best hair products out there.) Definitely try it out! Maria gives the best haircut - she's worth the money. I got (truly) the worst haircut of my life on December 23rd at a new salon in Alpharetta (not Aria) and Maria saved me a few days later. I've been going to her ever since. For color, I'd highly recommend Melissa - she's wonderful! The only thing I'd point out is that they advertise a complimentary shoulder/neck massage with every service but they don't actually provide it every time unless you ask. Be sure to inquire specifically about that if it's something you're looking for. read more

Mary Jac will rock your hair off. She's (usually) patient, has a great disposition, cares about how you look and is sensitive in dealing with how to get you out of bad hair habits. She's smart and funny and will keep you laughing in the chair while she makes you B-E-A-utiful. She's worth the drive (if one is involved getting so far OTP and your helicopter is broken) and the prices in the salon are reasonable. I just moved here and have started coming here. I love the salon and the staff, but have to agree that it is pricey! I have gotten blowouts and my hair colored (which was $150, not including cut or anything) I thought that was pretty expensive but went with it. I think they could offer a bit better deals to encourage return business and sooner. I have to admit I am starting to look around at other salons to find better prices for blowouts. I am looking at Indian salons, where I can get an amazing blowout with top stylists for $25. That being said, it's a great salon and very convenient. read more

I am a brand new customer and super satisfied. Yail did such a great job on my color and was helpful in choosing the right shade. Denee, nailed the cut even when I wasn't sure how to communicate what I wanted. (Ps- Ladies, so sorry for the poor spelling of your names here). I thought it was easy to get an appointment, get started on time, leave on time, and be treated well while I was there. I do think the "pricey" rating on yelp isn't exactly fair. The price was comparable, maybe even slightly less than what I've paid at other salons, especially Aveda salons. I have super long-thick hair. A cut and all over color (with toner) was $118. While a hundred bucks feels like a lot of money, it's not "pricey" in comparison to other salons. It's just the normal rate. So, I wouldn't let that deter you. I had a fantastic experience and I wild definitely come back. read more

I have been going to this salon for a wh. I usually get great service here. I see the same girl every time and she is always so sweet and attentive. My last visit with her I asked for a few highlights to frame my face and a toner to tone down the brassiness. She put in way to many highlights which made my hair look a completely different color and the ones in back were orange. They told me i could come back to get it fixed at "no cost". I specifically asked the girl on the phone and she said "yes no cost". They had to put dark color back into my hair to match up with my natural color and get rid of the mix of orange and blonde. I was told they recommend a conditioning treatment due to all of the processing being done to my hair (which I would have to pay for). I agreed to have it done as I don't want damaged looking hair. When I was done and went to pay there was a very rude lady at the front desk (she seems to be a manger or somewhat in charge). She said to the girl checking me out "she owes us for the extra color"...very unprofessional in front of a customer. I didn't understand why I would have to pay for them adding color back when it was their mistake to begin with. She began to argue with me that it took more color this time...well yeah it did they had to cover the mistake! She was beginning to make a scene so I just paid and left. She could have tried to make it right...I shouldn't have had to pay for anything the second time as I wouldn't have even been there if it wasn't for the mistake if the first place. No apologies! They have lost a customer I received a call from the salon apologizing for the charge. They refunded half of the amount I paid. Even though I really should not have been charged for any of it I was happy to receive a portion back. Thank you Matthew! read more

I have been on a quest for two years to find a hair salon. Just when I thought I had found the perfect place at a salon in Buckhead, my hairdresser turned into a complete flake. Aria is close to my house and I had driven past it a number of times. I decided to give it a try although I was scared to, yet again, try another salon. This salon rivals the trendy Buckhead salons. The difference is that it's much more affordable. My stylist is excellent and I've built a great rapport with her over the last few months. I took my mom here when she was in town so that she could have her eyebrows waxed. She told me that she wishes she lived in Georgia because it was the eyebrow wax she had ever had. If you're looking for a great salon with prices that are not outrageous, go to Aria! read more

Susan cuts my hair, and she does an excellent job. She listens to what I want (which I have found is rare in a stylist). I highly recommend her; she is worth the money. Melissa colors my hair, and I recommend her as well. She is very experienced and gives you the pros and cons of my choices (i.e. the difficulty of maintaining a red color), but ultimately carries out what I request. I went to this salon for about 2 years and I probably won't be back. Pros: Online appointments. Love being able to see prices and select my appointment times. They make a good effort for a great customer experience. I love Aveda products and they are an Aveda salon. Cons: Last time I was in the salon, they put a business card holder right next to the register that stated, "We gladly accept American Express cards." When I attempted to pay using my American Express card, I was asked, "Do you have another card?" I was then told they did not accept Amex. I pointed to the business card holder that stated, "We gladly accept American Express cards." They grabbed it and said, "I don't know how it got out there. It shouldn't have been put there." The first, second, third, fourth, etc... time I visited, I was treated to a short chair massage before or after my haircut. The last 2 times I visited, I was not offered, nor did I receive a chair massage. read more

Why 1 star? They make you sign a "TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT" with a same day cancellation charge policy. Upon arrival you will be presented with a customer information form to complete. The form includes a Terms of Service that you must sign in order to have your hair done there. The first item of the agreement states that for a same day cancellation you will be charged an additional $20 at your next appointment. So, if you wake up to find that your child is quite sick and you have to reschedule your 5 PM appointment, you will be faced with a $20 penalty. No other salon that I've encountered has this ridiculous policy. I told them I don't agree with the Terms of Service and was responded to with a bitchy "Okay thanks, bye." Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they will treat you like a human being instead of a source of prey to feed upon. read more

No stars! Yesterday I had blonde hair after great expense to get it that way. In the past to get it blonde I had gone to another wonderful salon Free Spirit, but I was trying to save money, and now I am a true believer in you get what you pay for! My appointment was with Jessie for a fill in between highlights, which in my past experience has been a simple thing. My appointment started with my asking if there was time for a haircut also, because the last time I had been in she had not cut it short enough. No, she did not have time, she said I have her for an hour, whatever she can get done in an hour is what I will get. I contemplated leaving after that while she was mixing my color, hind site is 20/20! Once my color was done, she washed my hair and added a glaze. After that the experience really went downhill. Some trainee came over to wash my hair again, and what is usually a very pleasant experience was not so, she splashed water everywhere, used a towel, and instead of giving me a dry towel, left the sopping wet one to drip down my back. When we got to the chair to be dried, I asked for another towel and was handed a damp used towel. That was the last straw, I paid (which I should not have) and left with wet unstyled hair. When I got home and dried my hair, the color was almost black where it had been very light brown to blonde. I could have gotten a bottle of color and done a better color job than Jessie but then again, I would not have been allowing only 1 hour. She did offer to " try again" but if she can't even fill in correctly, I do not trust her to take my hair back to blonde! read more

I have been to so many salons in Alpharetta over the 20+ years I've lived here. Jessi S is by far the BEST stylist I have ever had!! She is awesome with cuts, color, makeup, and chair massages! She razor cuts my baby fine hair and it looks fuller than it's ever looked. It worked like magic, and who knew? .... Jessi! And she's a beautiful person, inside and out. My hair colorist was Jael. Once I went for some highlights and my whole head came out super fake blonde. My normal hair is a dirty blonde so it was awful. She fixed my hair by adding low lights and when I asked for root touch ups over a month after, my hair went from dirty blonde to medium brown. REALLY? how could she be so careless. I scheduled an appointment to another colorist for tomorrow to fix my hair because this is unacceptable. I repeat, I asked for root touchups and she made my hair DARKER. she clearly does not care about the clients because she only does the proper job when someone complains for it to be fixed. I will no longer complain to her to fix my hair. Instead, I complained to the manager. I will see another colorist and hopefully she will give me back my signature golden locks. Asides from that, the hair stylist Mo is awesome and she really cares about you and your experience at the salon. I wouldn't want anyone else to cut my hair, and trust me, I am very picky. The salon itself is nice and the receptionists try their best to make you feel comfortable. But my experience with the colorist was just awful. read more
