Yes. Yes. Yes! HIGHLY recommend. This was given to me as a birthday gift 2 years ago and I finally got the chance to use it before starting a new job. And it DEFINITELY was worth the wait. Parking at Avalon can be a little crazy, but I would suggest parking in the uncovered lot behind the spa or if you're lucky enough to find a spot in the covered area. Upon arriving, I was greeted by one of the many receptionist who took my name, confirmed what I was having done and took me back to the women's changing dressing room. They provide you with a robe and slippers that you will wear the entire stay of your visit. When entering the women's dressing room, there are many lockers along the left side of the room, where you will create your four digit code and leave your belongings in there (I did keep my phone with me as I have a small smaller child in school) I just kept my phone on silent. Once you have changed, you can walk into the waiting area where there are two rooms that you can sit in and wait for your masseuse, facial, mani/pedi person to come and get you. Snacks are provided as well as champagne (upon request), cucumber/lemon water, and cozy blankets to keep you warm. I did the head to toe package which included a full body, Swedish massage, a facial, and a manicure. For my massage I had Richard, and he was soft spoken, so kind, made sure that I had everything I needed, made me feel extremely comfortable, was very vocal about where he was going to massage, and the pressure was a perfect light, medium. Once my massage was finished, he left the room and allowed me to get dressed. I left the door cracked as instructed once I was done dressing, he took me back to the waiting area, where I waited for my facial. I am definitely requesting him the next time I go back. Misa then came and got me for my facial, and I did the soothe + hydrate and let me tell you!! I am EXTREMELY picky about my face, and Misa kept me very informed and comfortable about what myface needed, she did do a blackhead extraction, and that was a little painful, but my face loved everything that she did to it!! I absolutely loved her energy and her kindness. She will definitely be my go to for facials in the future. Once my facial was complete, I went back into the waiting area and waited for the manicurist to come get me for my manicure. They took me to the other side of the spa house where they had a fully equipped nail salon. And that was just your basic nail experience. My hands definitely felt hydrated as they used warm oil and wax to hydrate my hands. Now this place is VERY expensive, but it is worth the price. My first appointment here for nail services was amazing! Smooth, seamless and other than difficulty with my Apple Maps trying to nav me to Whole Foods when I was trying to walk over to the spa from the parking lot, it was a wonderful, pampering experience complete with sparkling wine. However, when I tried to book online for my next appointment, when I got to the spa, an hour and 15 to 30 minutes drive away from my house, they informed me they didn't have an appointment for me. Something had gone wrong in their booking system online, and they were fully booked and couldn't take me. The woman who did my facial was very nice and didnt try to push any products on me because she said she didnt feel i needed them which makes me trust them and want to go back. After changing you are taken to the waiting room which has a fireplace, a lot of seating options and refreshments. There are also magazines to read while you wait. My massage was wonderful and afterwards you are able to go back into the waiting area to relax before you change back into your clothes. I needed a self-care day; therefore, I booked a staycation and then massage and facial at Woodhouse Day Spa. Located conveniently at the Avalon near the hotel. Walking in, I was immediately greeted, taken to the locker room where I was provided with a plush robe and some slippers. Then I moved on to the quiet room where my coffee was waiting for me. I had a choice of coffee, tea, champagne, mimosa, etc. I then was called in for my services; Body Balance massage from Belen and soothe + hydrate facial by Mimi. Both Belen and Mimi were amazing at what they did. I was so relaxed and felt very pampered. I loved every moment here, and highly recommend Woodhouse if you need some self-care and pampering. read more

Imagine being called the day after the New Year. It's late morning, early afternoon. You feel rejuvenated after a break and most businesses are just opening after a holiday break. It's a new start and the first order of business is... receiving a surprise unpleasant phone call... confronting you about something as trivial as a private survey... a survey only accessed by managers not the public. Sounds ridiculous right? Well, this was my experience and the heads here didn't find anything unusual about this whole ordeal. Justin and Joey didn't feel it was distasteful for the spa director (Joey) to contact me regarding something as trivial as my short survey. It simply read in about three sentences, "The technique of my esthetician was great but the service felt rushed and my time was reduced roughly 20-25 minutes." I also briefly expressed my disappointment since this was a noticeably recurring issue (maybe 3 other times, no more). I experienced short appointments in early 2023 which prompted me to stop visiting regularly. Those were my words, not verbatim but very close. Possibly, my survey was interpreted angry on Joey's end. I didn't think this would offend anyone, particularly enough to call me for a confrontation. I surely didn't suspect a derogatory response. I question why they send requests for surveys if they'll get sensitive and hostile about it. I wasn't sure if the feedback would be read at all and didn't anticipate any response considering how busy they've become since the pandemic. At best, I thought if it had been reviewed, it would become an internal discussion to correct. I certainly didn't think the spa director would react with his panties in a bunch for a private three-star review. I've visited Woodhouse Avalon dozens of times with majority of visits not being reviewed. I have sent glowing reviews particularly regarding two amazing estheticians. I remember one of the estheticians told me she was recognized among the team for my stellar review. It was lengthy and very complimentary, I meant every word of it. My negativity and inability to please is super ironic because my original review was highly rated and the top review on their Yelp profile. My Yelp review even made the "Review of the Day" allowing them to get more exposure with my glowing review on the main page of the website. Now I'm told I'm banned for negative feedback, the irony of it all. My refusal of service is coupled with being late. I know I'm not a sore thumb with my few minutes before or shortly after appointment check-ins (I've never been more than about 10 minutes late). It's obvious because every courtesy call to confirm the reservation, the front desk team reminds us to build-in 15 minutes for parking. It's apparent other guests have experienced late check-ins primarily because of the limited parking. Have other guests been harassed like myself? According to Joey, he feels of my whopping 3-4 unfavorable internal reviews (his opinion not fact) over two years and the timing of the check-ins associated with these "complaints" warrants a ban. I'm not banned for my pompous attitude/entitlement, refusal to tip, threatening disposition, disturbing the peace.... reasons that I suppose would make sense especially if it's excessive... by the way, a few of these hypothetical offenses listed I've witnessed by others as a regular guest. I was berated and told not to return because they feel their services will never satisfy me. No course of action to correct the situation amongst the staff, no suggestions to me for the future, discussion to resolve the situation, no apology (even if empty), no one investigating if this is common for other guests or an isolated incident, etc. I was met with vitriol rather than a generic business professional response regarding a neutral toned survey. It's unfortunate that the team here are unable to conduct themselves respectfully and with grace, although there's opposition on their end. I sent Justin (the owner) an email about the incident and he was unconcerned and dismissive of the situation. I believe this middle-aged man-child felt so comfortable speaking down to myself for reasons such as he feels he can get away with it. No you cannot! Part of me does feel there's prejudice associated with this issue. Even if I were wrong about the underlying prejudice, I'm not wrong that the situation was entirely unwarranted and avoidable. You need no explanation of five stars from a guy about a spa, right? My wife treated me to a massage here for my birthday. I had no idea people lived like this. ;-) Let me just describe the experience for all the men out there that would not consider going to a day spa. First of all, you walk in and change into a luxurious robe and slippers. Once you're all dressed up, you go to a quiet room to sit and enjoy some wine, champagne, etc. Unfortunately, there was no bourbon. Two seconds before you settle down to the point you're not going to get up, they whisk you away to your private massage room. The masseuse was very good and knowledgeable. She knew how to find all the knots and work on them. It was pretty awesome. Once you're done, you go back to the quiet room, relax, and enjoy more drink if you prefer. There's a shower in the changing area to round out the experience. Having said all that, I don't have to tell you it's not cheap, right? It's not even what I would call affordable. I had a very un-relaxing spa day. For 350 dollars I got one of their spa packages that included a gel pedicure, a 50 minute massage, and a facial. My pedicure appointment was nothing special. It was just a color change and nail shaping. There was no massage aspect to it at all. My toes came out beautiful, but for that price I'm expecting at least some kind of extra flare. There wasn't even a lotion part. My masseuse tried to collect me mid pedicure. It seems like they booked my two treatments too close together. When my pedicure finished, I found my masseuse and asked to make sure that my massage was not being cut short. She said that unfortunately I had lost that massage time. So, through no fault of my own (I was 20 minutes early to the spa) I was going to lose over 20% of my massage time. I was visibly upset about this and my masseuse went to talk to the manager. She came back and told me that my massage had been comped and I would get the full time for the massage, but that she now lost her lunch break thanks to me. Wow, now I'm going to relax. I just felt horrible the whole rest of the time. I left that massage feeling more tense than when I started it. The masseuse spent very little time on the areas I stated were my target areas. Now for the facial, since my massage was comped, I decided to upgrade my facial to utilize my gift card. I upgraded to a hydro facial (a 100 dollar upgrade, yikes). The facial was lovely and my skin looks fabulous now. Upon leaving and settling the bill, the manager had not communicated about my massage being comped. So, I had to wait at checkout for them to get in touch with management and take that off my bill. Lack of communication is evident in the whole establishment. This spa has some good elements going for it, but until they get scheduling and customer relations fixed, it's not worth the overpriced price tag. read more

I had heard good things about this location and had high expectations that were unfortunately not met. Overall the massage was just not very good, there were definitely parts that were relaxing however I have had better massages at much lower price points. It was just not worth the money for me. The masseuse even asked what areas I wanted to focus on but the amount of time she spent on those areas was shockingly limited. She did not introduce herself in the beginning and I had to ask her name. I did enjoy the waiting area where you can savor a beverage however there were a few noticeable stains on some of the chairs as well as a few stains on my robe. The layout is poorly designed where the entrance to the bathroom, robe room and waiting area are all across from one another causing traffic jams. I had to wait multiple times to get into the area I was trying to go to. The bathroom was not spacious enough for all the women that were in it at one time. Only two sinks so when two women are brushing their teeth at the same time and getting ready you have to wait to wash your hands. The attendant that introduced me to the bathroom/locker room gave me a quick overview but I later heard another guest being introduced to all the amenities that were available which were not explained to me. When I tried to collect my belongings out of the locker with the code I had created it would not open after multiple attempts. Luckily there was an attendant in the bathroom at that very moment so she opened it for me and said that issue happens a lot where the locker will not open with your code. I left with zero afterglow like I normally would after a massage. read more

They showed me the quiet room first it was where I would go after I got undressed and put on their comfortable robe. Next I was taken to a locker room with a shower and never nice vanity. This was my first time with Woodhouse Day Spa. Getting an appointment has a little bit of a waitlist but they were very accommodating to try to get you in when you want. I was welcomed by Nancy, best welcoming ever. As a plus size lady I was VERY happy to find they have multiple size plushy robes. I felt very comfortable as I waited in the 'quiet room' drinking my mimosa I was lucky enough to get a 50 min deep tissue massage with Juan. Not only did he clarify what and where I needed work, but he did an amazing job. The pressure for me was just right and he helped me with tips for stretching and I really appreciated that. The worst part about my massage, was that it ended I left the massage feeling so much better, both physically and spiritually. Then I had a sweet treat of having Reese do my pedicure. Truly a sweet soul who did an amazing job. The entire staff was attentive, professional and warm. I will be returning again.... soon. read more

I've enjoyed pampering at the Avalon location of Woodhouse Spa three times now and always have an enjoyable and relaxing experience. From the moment you step inside, the lovely (but not over powering) scents greet you along with the friendly front desk staff. Once checked in, they take you back to the locker room to equip you with a comfy, soft robe, spa sandals, and a locker. The locker room is small but well equipped with two shower rooms, two toilets, and plenty of toiletries, hair ties, even contact solution. I wish there was a little more space and a bigger bench, because if there is more than two people in there it can feel crowded. The quiet room/waiting room area is cozy with comfortable seating, blankets , cucumber water, snacks, and magazines. The staff will bring you tea, wine, champagne, or mimosas if you like. Normally, your service provider will come to the room to greet you and bring you back to the treatment room. However on this visit, I waited and waited and at 15 minutes past the hour, wandered into the hall to find a staff member to inquire about where my massage therapist was. Turns out she was missing or a no-show so unfortunately I did not get to have my massage. I also had a facial scheduled that day so I stayed and waited for 45 minutes for that appointment. The staff was very apologetic and made thing right by comping my facial and bringing me a glass of champagne. Not exactly the best start to my birthday weekend, but things happen. My facial, however, was fabulous, leaving my skin glowing. I've had massages in the past, so I know their therapists do a fabulous job but I just didn't get to experience that this time around. The treatment rooms are comfortable, clean, and relaxing. Check out us easy and you have the opportunity to buy any recommended products. If you go to the Avalon location, plan plenty of time to find parking, as it can be tricky depending on day/time you're there. All in all a good experience even though I didn't get my massage. Giving this only four stars because the pedicure lacked on the relax and massage factor. It was very short, no lotion, etc....my manicure massage was longer. Top Notch Spa Experience I've been to this location a few times and each visit has been a relaxing comfortable experience. From the minute you step foot through the front doors, everyone is always welcoming, inviting and accommodating. The spa is very clean and the atmosphere is calming, and once your in the waiting area (after changing into a robe), you can have tea, infused water, wine, champagne and there are also snacks like trail mix and other nice treats. All of my therapists have been professional and knowledgeable about the services they provide. The inside is very nice and relaxing. Staff is polite and accommodating. Quiet room is not very quiet but still relaxing atmosphere. I had a scrub and a massage, both about an hour. With tip it cost me $480. Ouch! The experience itself was average. Unsure why it cost so much in comparison to what I got. The scrub wasn't very thorough and it was only in "safe" areas, therefore omitting large areas of skin that I guess they considered "risqué" like butt or anything close to my boobs. It was more of a limbs scrub. I was under the impression that most of my body would be scrubbed. Whatever. Overall ok but just as good as your cheaper neighborhood spas. read more

This is my favorite spa in the area. While I didn't think I would like having to combine the hustle & bustle of Avalon with a relaxing massage, I always book early and have an easy time parking. I can then take my time and know that many good lunch options are just outside the door. Inside the spa, you will check in, change into your robe and sandals, and then be seated in the quiet room. This quiet room is more spacious than the other two Woodhouse locations I have been to, but still offers a fireplace and cozy feel. They usually have a drink (champagne or mimosa is an option too) waiting for you with a little personalized name card. I have had several massages here, each time a with different person, but all good. The front desk staff has always been friendly too. I recently bought a package and hope to find someone I can see each time. I recommend Woodhouse in general and really like this location! read more

First time at Woodhouse today and after the wonderful experience I had, it certainly won't be my last. Once changed into my robe, I was shown into the Quiet Room where I had a glass of champagne and some kind of fancy spa trail mix. Relaxed already! I had a 50-min Swedish massage with Lana. Now, I have a monthly massage membership at Elements in Roswell and I love it. I've learned the techniques and pressure that work for me, and I prefer to do upper body only. I know what I like and went in with that in mind. Lana explained their typical 50-min massage and how it actually starts face up with a scalp massage. I wouldn't usually go for that but decided to roll with it and asked that she focus primarily on upper body. No problem at all. Ten minutes in I was uber relaxed. So relaxed that at some point during the service I actually caught myself drifting off to sleep. I had booked my next service as a microdermabrasion, however, after meeting Sunnie she recommended the hydrafacial and explained its similarity to the microderm. At this point I was so relaxed she could've sold me anything. Sunnie was super personable and I immediately felt comfortable. Great decision on the hydrafacial. Sunnie was excellent and I left with smooth, glowing skin. I mean, massages are great, but facials?? A great one leaves you with something you can see AND feel. This is over priced SPA for an okay service. I had an 60 minute massage scheduled and was about 6/7 minutes late. I did a courtesy call to let them know that i am running few minutes behind. Apparently they gave me 45 Minutes of service and charged for a whole service and honestly it was an average massage experience. This is another incident. My wife had schedule a deep tissue massage. She could not go. Just 10 minutes before the schedule the SPA called and my wife did let them know that she will not be able to make it and still they end up charging her $50. Long story short: Its an okay SPA with an average service. Just because its in Avalon its over priced. Be mindful if you schedule and do not show you will be charged hefty. read more

From the warm welcome you receive at the front desk (they even opened the door when I came in!) to the beautifully appointed interior to the mind blowing treatments - this place is first class! Here's a rundown of what I loved: - The robes are wonderful (I am seriously going to buy one!) - Mimosas, flavored water, hot tea (I loved the cinnamon!) and champagne....say no more! - Special touches - gift bag on your birthday, little chocolates, brownies and trail mixes, totally stocked dressing room, email reminders, etc. - The staff is FABULOUS!!! She pried into my mental health, telling me depression was the "devil," telling me to fire my therapist, talking about suicide and domestic abuse, and this was all before the massage started.
