Ordered pizza near closing time in a weeknight. The people could not have been friendlier. Pizza was perfect-nice thin crust loaded with toppings. I I was leery because I usually order from a strictly-pizza place, but I was so pleasantly surprised! When you're on vacation you never know where to go. So glad we found this gem! read more

The interior is updated and really pleasant to be in. I'd be comfortable bringing me mom here for lunch. The interior is nicer than I expected by far from a somewhat dated exterior - a fun surprise! This is the kind of burger place you want to find when you are in the Northwoods visiting. We had the chili, brisket burger and a basket of home chips - all good. The price for the burger is only $5, but all extras (biuld-a-burger) are per charge. read more

Buckshot's Saloon & Eatery - Brisket burger and chips. - Burgers Near Me - Eagle River, Wisconsin

Stoped a few times on the trail for a beer. Great new space, not the tired old bar. Decided to take my wife for lunch, very picky. She decided that it has the best burgers in town. Had the brisket burger and onion rings. Great food and fair prices. Try it!! Rainy day a good day to get out for lunch. Was nice to see that the restaurant has maintained the clean look of a new remodeling. The food and service still excellent. We will continue to return for this great local business . Try it!!! read more

I'm so torn about this review. First of all it's the best old fashioned I've had in a long time. The bartender was awesome. The server we had didn't seem to know what she was doing. We ordered apps and after 40 min we still Didn't have them. We asked and they acted as if we were crazy to be asking. When we finally got them after an hour. We were less grumpy and less starving but another 20 went by and we didn't get our three burgers or the fish fry we ordered. We asked again and the owner was super annoyed that we were asking why we hadn't gotten burgers in almost 90 minutes. Finally a waitress came by and said our burgers were on the grill. Another 10 went by and two come out and the fish fry and they tell us the third burger had a problem in the kitchen. What?! Finally they bring it out. And as my mom is not even finished the owner comes by and asks her if she can box it up For her cause they had people waiting for our table!? How rude!!!!! I want to give this place two stars. But the burger was unbelievably good and I didn't totally mind too much waiting for the food since the drinks were so good. But the owner was so rude and pushy I probably won't be back. read more

You got alot of nerve my freind. First off we didn't win anything from your remote. My brother from Wyoming and freind where up for that, we met them there for a night cap and they gave them to use. Secondly they ate there and both got sick ( simular to a few of your previous customer complaints, terrible food ) thirdly if u were close why was or door open and even serve us ? Instead of kindly saying we're closed sir .i hope the liquor control doesn't walk in and see your staff half bombed at 6:00 , plus in the evening . Again take the "Speak Easy" sign down, your a embarrassment to the industry. Over 40-50 years we've been traveling there , and throughout the midwest and spent more money in that building over the years u can imagine. Your place is 100% unprofessional like u. Trust me reading most of your post were not in the minority sir. read more

I've been here multiple times and they never disappoint. Excellent beer selections, every meal I've had has been amazing. The staff is very friendly and talkative and it's an all around wonderful experience. It's a north woods gem. The downtown location is just as great. read more

We have tried several times and always end up with the waitress with the terrible attitude. Just called this evening before going over to have pizza. Hours state they are open until 11 but were rudely told unless we ordered immediately and made it take out that they were closing the kitchen. Pertains the owners weren't there this evening but at some point when they wonder why folks aren't coming back this is why. read more

Great spot. Food was really good, nice beer selection and just down home real service. Highly recommend to anyone passing through heading north (or south) ! Will definitely be back read more

Very personable and attentive bartender named Melissa. She was fantastic! We ordered 8 piece perch dinner and brisket burger. They were fantastic! I highly recommend. We also ordered the homemade potato chips - unbelievably good! Must order and with ranch dressing. Great tap beer selection. Widow maker black and Pick axe blonde were fabulous. We split a whiskey old fashioned. It was perfect. I wish we could drink more old fashioneds but someone had to drive home. Please visit this establishment, drink, and eat. You will not be disappointed. read more

By far the best brisket melt I've ever eaten. We came back twice in the same week!!! Great service and very affordable. read more

Quite disappointed. Had wanted to try this place for some time and finally did. I had a burger which was slightly undercooked and my wife had an appetizer sampler and a bowl of soup. The soup could hardly have been called soup as it was mostly a purse. The appetizer basket was so so, clearly items that had been fried up from a box from afrozen commercial food service. My burger had a taste of somewhat less than fresh meat. On the plus side, service was quick and friendly. Not likely to return. read more

I love lake perch, something I can't easily get where I live. In Eagle River for a couple days, I headed to BuckShot's, where I'd found reviews and online menus mentioning a 5-piece perch basket and an 8-piece perch platter. The presumably new menus we were presented had no mention of baskets or platters -- but did offer Lake Perch, in either 1/2-pound or 3/4-pound plates. I ordered the larger and was soon served three pieces of fish -- what kind of fish I can't say but it was definitely NOT lake perch! These filets were 10 inches long, nearly twice the size of the largest perch, and certainly didn't taste like perch. By the time our waitress returned to check on us, we'd gone ahead and eaten the fish, as it was already late in the evening. I did bring up that what we were served was not lake perch, to which she kept responding, "You didn't like it?" which was not what I was saying or the point. I was not looking for a refund but was just making the point that it was not what I ordered. She came back after alerting the kitchen to our concerns, to say "They say that's the same perch they've served for years," which seems highly unlikely -- eight pieces of a small fish like perch makes sense; serving eight (or even) five pieces of these large filets does not. Just be warned: You will not get lake perch here. read more

This is the place to go for awesome pizza and burgers. I am sure the rest of the menu is great as well. The lady serving us was probably the best waitress I've had and the bartender made it a point to ask how our meals were. Owner approached our table to see if we needed anything. This is a must stop in the Northwoods. read more

My family and I moved up around 4 years ago and have eaten here since day one. The staff is amazing and more than that being a family owned restaurant is amazing. They always welcome us and everyone who comes in. They of course know what are regular is and always willing to make me a new drink because they get me. I will always recommend this place to everyone and you should add it to your must go place in the Northwoods. read more

Usually we love buckshots. But tonight I do have a complaint. I am on a very strict diet. So instead of my usual perch that is deep fried and comes with coleslaw, potato salad, beans and rye bread, I ordered broiled cod. Instead of all the above sides I asked if i could have a side salad. Obviously costs less than all the extra sides. Two pieces of cod. $11.99. Side salad $4.99. Come on! That's crazy. I would have talked to Dan but they were so busy. Plus they're not part of Clover anymore and I had more than $25 coming - disappeared. read more

Their burgers are juicy. My family always orders to go. Even when busy they still get seem to have it ready within 30 minutes. My family loves dipping in cheese, always order tons of cheese, and they never deny it. Only problem I have is when I ask for crispy fries, they are extremely soggy. And, we live not more than 3 minutes from the place. Otherwise, place has juicy burgers, good chicken tenders and good cheese curds. read more

Everything was ALMOST good...the server was almost attentive enough. Our green bean app was almost not burnt to a crisp. The music was almost loud enough to be heard. The drinks were almost strong enough to really do something. What was good? Their soup! Would come back for that. Place was pricey for what it is. It can't decide if its a local hole in the wall watering hole or trying to accommodate a different kind of dinner/mellow crowd. A little bit out of the way for us so not sure if we're going to be back. Waiter also tried to upsell us on everything. We wanted two shots of jack...hey did you try this crown? Wanted a local beer on tap...but wait try this one!.... read more

This is an okay up north food spot! I have been here twice now and both experiences have been okay. We tried one of their specials (a burger) over the weekend and it was decent. It came with fries and we had some chips for the table to split-the dipping sauces seemed very "fake" to me. The waitress was okay, she didn't know the specials or the beers and they don't do a beer list because they change them too frequently. I will go back to try some pizza and give it another shot! But from my current experiences there are better places in the north woods! read more

Excellent beer selection and w tried the old fashioned recommended by other reviewers - very good. The house made potato chips are not to be missed and the burgers were top notch . Very slow service the night we were there otherwise I would have given this cozy spot five stars read more

Very nice atmosphere & very nice waitress. Wallet fingers were good & lots of them. Deep fried mushrooms were still frozen in center. Potato cheese soup smelled great & if you like it thick you'll enjoy. They ran out of thin crust so we had the thick. Doughy, flavorless & pricey. read more

This place is a gem in Eagle River. Clean restaurant, friendly and relatively attentive staff, and great food. We had a few foodies in our group and we enjoyed everything we ordered - burgers and house made chips, walleye finger appetizer, and thin crust pizza. Food came out quickly and was extremely hot. Will be back! read more

Stopped in at their downtown location for an appetizer and drinks on a summer Saturday afternoon. We were told they weren't serving food because everyone that works there was in the other side of the bar. And they had food! Both of the bartenders seemed to have had several drinks themselves. Another couple came in to eat and they were directed to their other location. Sad. read more

My friends and I stayed in Three Lakes for 3 days and BuckShot's was the only restaurant we enjoyed in the area. Unfortunately, we only stopped in from the trails for appetizers and a hot drink to warm up, but the appetizers were good enough for me to believe the rest of their food would also be delicious. I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was very clear they did not care about COVID guidelines. No server was wearing a mask, no customer was asked to wear a mask until seated, etc. so just be cautious if you choose to eat inside! read more

So good we went back for seconds during our long-weekend vacation. The space was well-built and maintained, making it extremely comfortable to sit and eat on a cold night. The chicken wings were nice and crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Honestly, the best chicken wings I've had. The grilled cheese was just golden enough on the outside and melt in your mouth goodness on the inside. The pizza had just the right amount of cheese and the crust was so soft. The waitress was friendly and willing to give suggestions for where to go after we ate. She also recognized that returned the next day! ;) Definitely coming back if we're in the area again. read more

Stopped at the BuckShot's for lunch while up north on a fishing trip. Fairly nice place. Half of the restaurant is closed due to staffing and the person in charge pointed out their sign first thing indicating that there is limited staffing and the wait for food would be long. It was, indeed, a long wait. We ordered burgers, which were OK, and it took more than an hour. Place was packed on this Monday as many places are closed on Mondays. Nice people, dude playing guitar and singing from 12-3. Nice background music. Overall, my review is just OK. read more

The 5 star rating is relative to the other places I've eaten at in Eagle River. This place had been closed and I don't drive through Eagle River as often as I used to, so I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least, to find such a vibrant saloon now open just north of Eagle River. I asked the bartender and he said they had been open for two years; it looks like new inside and it has a great Northwoods feel. The staff was friendly and hustling to keep up with demand (but I never had to wait for more than a minute or two to get my glass refilled). They have an awesome beer selection and the pizza I got was quite good. I'll be back! read more

We have been going to the North woods for twelve years and missed this place, as well as it's predecessor. The current establishment was opened in July 31 of 2016 and kept the same name. We will not miss it again. We had a group of ten, on a Tuesday night, and ordered a number of items on the menu. All was very good! The homemade chips (must order), bloody Mary's (loaded), old fashioneds, pizza, perch, side salad (with chicken) and brisket burgers. All were excellent and accompanied by fantastic service by Sharon. Great job. We will be back. read more

Visiting from out of town. Their pizza was GREAT, and their service friendly. Also very clean & a lot of good beers on tap.

Good atmosphere and friendly young male bartender. We have been here a few times and one of our favorites already.

This is one of the Best Restaurant in Eagle River. The food is awesome as well as the music.

Burger was spectacular. Homemade chips and mozzarella sticks were great. My husband had the thin pizza said it was good. Friendly staff, only downside was the waitress was the only on hand and and was too busy to refill our drinks. Not a big deal, we went to the bar for refills, but I know some people may dock you a star for that. Nice, clean and updated inside, with very reasonable prices. We will be back, it was a big hit with the whole fam read more

Well the 5 Star review streak continues. Family run with a family atmosphere to boot. Great dining experience with a reasonable tab. Good beer selection and our food was served quick, hot and delicious. They have DirecTv which makes Buckshots a great place to enjoy a Sox or Cubs game. If you're a Blackhawk's fan, no problem. NHL games are on the menu. A definite pick when you're in Eagle River. We'll be back. read more
