We like coming here when we have a big group because there's something for everyone. We arrived pretty late on a Friday so some of the fish fry menu was sold out. The bartender was absolutely a gem and so sweet. Kam or Kal ? I know it was with a K. I lagged on writing this review so I forgot her name. I hope we get waited on again by her ! To start- the Bloody Mary- WOW. Absolutely huge and had awesome flavor. They make their own mix and the toppings were delicious. Loaded with deliciousness!!!! 10/10. Everything our party ordered was so amazing. To start - the bacon appetizer was out of this world, the cheese curds were probably the best I've ever had, and onion strings (again the best ever). From the steak, the walleye, sandwiches, pasta, prime rib, salmon, etc .... OUTSTANDING. Super flavorful and some top notch food. We absolutely cannot wait to go back !!!

Came here for fish fry on a Friday night and it was packed by 5p. They have a few different options for fish that you can have broiled or fried, along with a variety of potato options. I especially enjoyed the red potatoes. Plentiful portions for the price and the food came out hot and fairly quick. Parking lot is large enough to accommodate the crowds and their sign says they have live music/entertainment every Sunday afternoon/evening. Jukebox, pool table, darts and clean bathrooms.

For a variety of reasons, last night was the first time we stopped in for a burger and beer. I'm sure it won't be the last. Orders for food and drinks are placed at the bar. You can eat at the bar or one of several tables just off to the side. Food and drinks are cash only and the kitchen doesn't have the capacity to serve groups larger than six to eight. They have a small but decent selection of tap beer and of course a full bar. The burger I ordered was as good as any I've had at a local bar and grill -- thick, juicy, topped with cheese, onions, mushrooms, and a tasty (though generic) BBQ sauce. An ample amount of fries (skin on) completed the basket. They offer a number of set combinations or you can "build your own" with any of the ingredients they stock in the kitchen. I might not be a regular--I only occasionally indulge in burgers like these--but I'll come back for another, hopefully sooner than 35 years from now.

I bow to his observation and will modify my statement to read that it is the consensus of SEVERAL locals that this is the best fish fry in town!) It's not often that a restaurant that is a part of a hotel gets rave reviews, and in many of the hostelries I've stayed in over the years, the restaurant was an afterthought. Not here! The restaurant is quite popular with residents of Rhinelander along with the hotel guests. I've been at The Claridge Inn (The Days Inn these days) on Fridays, and at the recommendation of relatives, I've always had the fish fry. They also offer baked haddock, one of my fellow diners ordered the haddock. She reported the dish was excellent. My beer battered cod was also excellent, a crispy shell with cod of a perfect consistency. The meal is offered with french fries, I opted to spend an extra dollar to substitute potato pancakes. The potato pancakes were also exceptional. Rhinelander has a number of really good restaurants, the Claridge is most certainly one of them.
