Came here on a Monday night a little after 6p and it was extremely quiet. It's hard to describe this place; decent sized dining area, counter with some specialty items, along with a very large library - all attached and open to each other. I saw signs for a gift shop but didn't see one and it was already closed by the time we got there. The staff was friendly when we placed our order at the counter. We had a philly panini, bosco sticks (cheese filled breadsticks) and a BBQ chicken pizza. The panini was pretty disappointing with dry bread and dry roast beef. The mushrooms were out of a can and the onion and green peppers were practically raw. The only saving grace for the sandwich was the au jou to dip it in - just to enhance the taste and soften the bread. The Bosco sticks were served as a set of 3 with cold pizza sauce, they were ok. The pizza was the best part of the meal and I love that we could order in a variety of different sizes (I believe 5 or 6 sizes). We went with thin crust. It was pretty flimsy, could hardly hold all of the toppings. They do not skimp on the toppings and they seemed pretty fresh. Little bit too much red onion for us but they were easily picked off. Overall I thought this place was just ok. Reading all of the reviews I'm guessing we were probably here on an odd night, or maybe we didn't order the right food. The service was friendly and fast, and they clear the dishes off of the table. I'm sure we will be back to try something different - their menu is huge. Husband has been bugging me to take him to Kids Korner every trip we take to Rhinelander. Took him yesterday for Father's Day. We ordered Bosco sticks (cheese-filled breadsticks) and Hawaiian pizza. Both were good, fresh, and hot. Their pizza is thin crust (not the best I've ever had, but pretty good). Great, friendly, and quick service! Love that it has books, and small kids book section with a chalkboard. Would like to see something like games/pinball/toys that would connect it to the name "Kids Korner." read more

So yes, this is a pizza place. And if I were to rate Kids Korner simply on it's pizza it would probably be 4 stars. It's darn good and we used to go to Rhinelander all the time to do some school shopping and we'd always grab one or two on the way home. They're fresh made frozen pizzas which is definitely a rarity. BUT, the real reason I visit this place is for the absolutely kick ass string cheese and cheese curds. I have never tasted a finer cheese product. Anywhere. I even converted my California friends as new Wisconsin cheeseheads with this stuff. Best. Cheese. Ever. read more

Just got their "Hodag" sub with the house sauce and it was one of the best subs ever! Prices are also great with generous portions and not just a couple of triangles of meat and cheese like some "other" sub places. Will be ordering from them weekly. read more

Don't bother ordering a pizza if you'd like it actually made. I called in an order, was told 30 minutes, and they claimed no order was placed. That could have been excused as an accident, but they were so rude that we didn't bother. We went to pizza hut instead. There is no excuse for terrible customer service. read more
