Very poor bartender attitude. We left. Walked in At 3:00 on Saturday. 6 people. Sat at high top in bar. So not very busy. Went to bar to get drinks and the bartender ignored us. She helped some others, talked to her coworkers, but just kept walking by. Finally came over, no smile - went to order and help up some pull tabs. She sneered and said she doesn't do pull tabs. Then walked away even after we said we wanted drinks. We were not going to deal with this type of disrespect and so we got our coats on and started leaving. She said something about having g to get ready for a raffle at 4 (it was 3). As we continued to leave we got a snotty, "Well just leave then!" We did. It's an ideal, local pub and restaurant. The menu is not overextended, so the food is really good. There's plenty of seating and servers to take care of you so you don't wait too long for anything. We had a great experience at this local restaurant recently. Really friendly service and a cozy atmosphere and, of course, tasty cuisine. Our server Sarah was delightful and very helpful. But a top-notch place for bar food! And that's not a criticism. They have a spacious family, friendly dining area that has video games and darts as well as ample outdoor seating. Probably one of the best destinations in the area I ordered a pizza which was solid bar fare, and I have to say it was even better cold the next day! Walked in for lunch on a Sunday. Had decent room in back for seating. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Drinks arrived quickly. If you have kids there are games to keep them busy. All the buzz about this pub is on point. South of town on the main highway - easy to get to. Very clean and very nice staff highlight the big menu. We stayed in Minocqua and came to Hazelhurst for the cheese curds! The bar is a small u-shaped bar when you first walk in and it was full of locals so we moved into the dining room. We told the staff there were 6 of us but it didn't seem they were eager to sit us for a while. They tended to a few other tables before acknowledging that we needed a table. Nonetheless, the curds were deliciously fried and chewy! My favorite part is that this whole town in the winter is filled with snowmobilers and there's an entire side parking lot for snowmobiles and so many children/people came in with helmets and just enjoyed their mid-day break here at the pub! read more

The gyro sandwich was way over cooked to the point that the meat was dry and crispy. Definitely one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had.

This is my go to place most often because it's not too far away and I've never had anything that wasn't good. It's your typical bar food but done well. I'm sure I've been there 50 times. There are slot machines and cool games for kids. It can get pretty busy in there and the waitresses really hustle. Friendly bar as you enter. A lot of familiar faces sitting there. The burgers are good, the Italian beef's are really good, fish fry is good but my favorite is the fried chicken Caesar salad. You can't go wrong although I'm sure there have been occasions things don't work out for people but generally a hit. read more

Ordered cheese burger medium rare and was ecstatic that it was done so nicely! The fried onions were not greasy at all and enhanced the burger. Cheese curds were not greasy. The medium done bacon cheeseburger was excellent again, but the best part was the bacon was not salty it was just thick bacon. The French fries are Top notch. It would be nice if they had some deserts perhaps. The ingredients are top notch and make the meal. Seriously great! The bartender/server couldn't have been kinder when my kids and I (having biked 20 miles with 10 to go) showed up mid-afternoon. I loved this little townie pub! No, the food isn't Michelin star, but for pub food I thought it was really yummy and the ingredients were high quality. I was also extremely impressed that there was a meatless burger on the menu - and it was very tasty! The staff was just a cook and a bartender (as far as I could see) but service was good. Tap beer selection was limited but I found something I liked so I didn't even look at the bottle menu. Highly recommend if your in the area and are looking for something casual! read more

Great local place to go for a bar and local pub experience. Staff is great and food comes out quickly and is very tasty. Been there many times and food has never disappointed no matter what we have selected. Outside eating on the roadside patio and they allow dogs on that area if you desire. Our food was delicious too. They messed up my order by giving me regular fries instead of potato fries but they fixed it right away with no fuss. Great to visit Hazelhurst Pub for a bite to eat as we were heading out of town...food is always excellent and on this stop, Karen took great care of us. I've driven past Hazelhurst many times on the way to Lake Tom. Last night, my family and I decided to stop there for a drink and some pizza for carry-out. My fam had been there before, but I had not. First thing I noticed was how squeaky clean it was. The bar was packed, but the space was just spotless and that carries over to the bathroom too! I'm not used to walking into such a packed bar and having it be so clean, especially the bathroom. We put in a pizza order and enjoyed a drink on the patio while we waited. Again, the patio was spotless, you could have eaten off the floor. And I did... because I dropped some popcorn. Their popcorn is delicious btw. Our drinks were great, generous pours and very tasty. The pizza was done pretty quickly considering the crowd. We took it home to eat it and it was very good. Mind you, I'm not a fan of crispy crust, it's just a preference thing. The crust was cracker thin and very crispy. Despite it not being my favorite type of pizza, I really enjoyed it. The toppings were very good and it definitely hit the spot. Stopped by for dinner on Mother's Day, place not too busy at around 6pm, seated right away, placed order for bevenrages, service slow but eventually ordered dinner. I ordered cod sandwich, everyone else ordered burgers. Again, service was slow, waitress however friendly and personable. Still a favorite for our family. We visit often enough to be considered regulars. Fish is great. Try the Walleye, broiled..... heavenly but order early as they will run out guaranteed.
