Our first visit today on 'wiener Wednesday'. We each had a $5 hot dog - traditional Chicago for me and BBQ for my guy (came with onion, bacon & BBQ sauce). Both were delicious! A tiny bit disappointed the bun wasn't poppyseed, but it was good enough as is. We shared sides of sweet potato fries (generous portion) and onion rings. Both were tasty & hot. Topped it off with some drinks & it was a perfect lunch. Our server, Nancy, was friendly & attentive. The place is cute inside - a sizable bar with a small dining room, decked out in typical Northwoods fashion. Check it out! read more

We have been here twice now and had awesome meals both times. Service can be a little slow but it gets busy and there is one waitress. The food is worth waiting for and the wait time is just what we need to have a real conversation with the company we are with. First time lunch stop was on a Friday fish day and walleye bites were ordered. The report is that they were delicious and were tasted by two in the party. I'm gf and don't care for fish so did not taste. The other party member had wings and said they were excellent along with his side of onion rings. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich on a gluten free bun. The bun held up well and the sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries was delicious. Second time here my husband had the special of Chicago style hot dogs, I had the steak sandwich on gf bun and the other in our party had the hot beef sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals and look forward to coming back. The food is just downright good for a fair price. Not sure why only one waitress but guessing they only need one for the kitchen to keep pace. There is seating outside but I think it is just used when they have entertainment. Everyone seems to be enjoying their bar seats and restaurant meals. read more

Great pizza! Great service! We were there for 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful meal. It's a local place run by really nice people. read more

Good burgers, tasty pizza and good service. Good draft list too and would recommend KBC widow or Alaska Amber. Outdoor seating in the summer and a variety of video games and darts inside. We keep coming back and would recommend trying if you're in the north woods. read more

Good Rubin sandwiches. That's what we get there. Good service. Small but nice ambiance.

Very poor bartender attitude. We left. Walked in At 3:00 on Saturday. 6 people. Sat at high top in bar. So not very busy. Went to bar to get drinks and the bartender ignored us. She helped some others, talked to her coworkers, but just kept walking by. Finally came over, no smile - went to order and help up some pull tabs. She sneered and said she doesn't do pull tabs. Then walked away even after we said we wanted drinks. We were not going to deal with this type of disrespect and so we got our coats on and started leaving. She said something about having g to get ready for a raffle at 4 (it was 3). As we continued to leave we got a snotty, "Well just leave then!" We did. This place used to be good - do not recommend. read more

Food and service are great. You will come in as a customer but leave as a friend. It is the Northwoods version of Cheers.

Out running errands today at stopped at this Pub! It was clean inside and the staff were very friendly!! My husband had the Hotdog special (he got the Chicago Dog) and said they were excellent. I got the CHICKEN CLUB WRAP that had chicken, bacon, ranch, lettuce, tomato, onion and mozzarella cheese. The wrap came with fries. Very good food and excellent service! read more

Order on DoorDash and skip the rude bartender Jamie. Food is consistent with good kitchen hours. I won't step foot in this place until she's off the payroll. Yikes. read more

It's an ideal, local pub and restaurant. The menu is not overextended, so the food is really good. There's plenty of seating and servers to take care of you so you don't wait too long for anything. Plenty of local flavor as well as opportunity for those visiting to feel connected. Excellent beers on tap and plenty of options from the bar. The wings were great, the pizza was really good, and the sandwiches were delightful. read more

But a top-notch place for bar food! And that's not a criticism. They have a spacious family, friendly dining area that has video games and darts as well as ample outdoor seating. Probably one of the best destinations in the area I ordered a pizza which was solid bar fare, and I have to say it was even better cold the next day! The rest of my party had wings, which looked very enticing I might come back with a five star review after a future visit but this time around the kitchen got behind there was a long wait. Not really their fault and the staff was very kind. One of the best places you could choose in this area I am sure read more

We had a great experience at this local restaurant recently. Really friendly service and a cozy atmosphere and, of course, tasty cuisine. Our server Sarah was delightful and very helpful. I had the hamburger and fries and my family members had the shrimp basket with sweet potato fries and another family member had their pizza. All around a nice experience. read more

Saw good reviews so we stopped. Wasn't bad but really nothing special either. Kids liked the bbq wings. Curds were ok, hubby liked the drinks, but nothing to want us to come back next time we're out here again. read more

Walked in for lunch on a Sunday. Had decent room in back for seating. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Drinks arrived quickly. If you have kids there are games to keep them busy. We ordered 2 fish sandwiches, a philly and an italian beef. Good sized portions and the food was excellent. Definitely a new place for us to go. read more

All the buzz about this pub is on point. South of town on the main highway - easy to get to. Very clean and very nice staff highlight the big menu. Apps don't disappoint but the burgers are the big deal. Heard a lot about them and they are very good. Nice place to watch a game or just hang out for a bit. Don't miss this place. read more

Drinks, food and service is always excellent! The bartender is always busting her butt to keep customers happy while still being personable. My wife and I absolutely love this place. read more

We stayed in Minocqua and came to Hazelhurst for the cheese curds! The bar is a small u-shaped bar when you first walk in and it was full of locals so we moved into the dining room. We told the staff there were 6 of us but it didn't seem they were eager to sit us for a while. They tended to a few other tables before acknowledging that we needed a table. Nonetheless, the curds were deliciously fried and chewy! My favorite part is that this whole town in the winter is filled with snowmobilers and there's an entire side parking lot for snowmobiles and so many children/people came in with helmets and just enjoyed their mid-day break here at the pub! read more

This is my go to place most often because it's not too far away and I've never had anything that wasn't good. It's your typical bar food but done well. I'm sure I've been there 50 times. There are slot machines and cool games for kids. It can get pretty busy in there and the waitresses really hustle. Friendly bar as you enter. A lot of familiar faces sitting there. The burgers are good, the Italian beef's are really good, fish fry is good but my favorite is the fried chicken Caesar salad. You can't go wrong although I'm sure there have been occasions things don't work out for people but generally a hit. read more

Great location right off of the Bearskin Trail. Wonderful atmosphere good food had a great time. read more

The gyro sandwich was way over cooked to the point that the meat was dry and crispy. Definitely one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had.

Ordered cheese burger medium rare and was ecstatic that it was done so nicely! The fried onions were not greasy at all and enhanced the burger. Cheese curds were not greasy. The medium done bacon cheeseburger was excellent again, but the best part was the bacon was not salty it was just thick bacon. The French fries are Top notch. It would be nice if they had some deserts perhaps. The ingredients are top notch and make the meal. We waited in the parking lot after calling in the order for pick up and it was ready in 10 min. on a Wednesday night. Will definitely be going back. Staff were kind and helpful. read more

Ate lunch at Hazelhurst Pub for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised to find the inside very appealing, north woodsy, roomy & Very clean. I had the gyro lamb basket with sweet potato fries. My hubby got the Philly cheesesteak. Our service was very fast. Unfortunately we were so hungry that I forgot to take food pictures. read more

Seriously great! The bartender/server couldn't have been kinder when my kids and I (having biked 20 miles with 10 to go) showed up mid-afternoon. The pretzel app was amazing (HUGE bargain too!), and the spinach dip was great, although the bread was burned. Salad, wrap, and pizza were amazing. Bloody Mary was yummy. Thank you for the good food and hospitality! read more

I loved this little townie pub! No, the food isn't Michelin star, but for pub food I thought it was really yummy and the ingredients were high quality. I was also extremely impressed that there was a meatless burger on the menu - and it was very tasty! The staff was just a cook and a bartender (as far as I could see) but service was good. Tap beer selection was limited but I found something I liked so I didn't even look at the bottle menu. Highly recommend if your in the area and are looking for something casual! read more

It took me forever to get seated and longer to receive food. It overall took 2 hours before receiving food.

Great food and great staff. We had cheese curds and mini tacos as appetizers and they were out right away. Our food on the other hand took awhile but we had a big group so it's alright. Our food was delicious too. They messed up my order by giving me regular fries instead of potato fries but they fixed it right away with no fuss. They also have super good orange cream soda and root beer. read more

Great to visit Hazelhurst Pub for a bite to eat as we were heading out of town...food is always excellent and on this stop, Karen took great care of us. We started with some delicious Wisconsin cheese curds, fried to perfection. Next, I tried the Cuban and fries - the smoked pork was flavorful and tender. She tried the shrimp dinner and fries - again delicious. Thanks Karen for making our visit delicious and comfortable. read more

Great local place to go for a bar and local pub experience. Staff is great and food comes out quickly and is very tasty. Been there many times and food has never disappointed no matter what we have selected. Outside eating on the roadside patio and they allow dogs on that area if you desire. Teresa is my favorite server there and love to see her when in. He can be fun! read more

I've driven past Hazelhurst many times on the way to Lake Tom. Last night, my family and I decided to stop there for a drink and some pizza for carry-out. My fam had been there before, but I had not. First thing I noticed was how squeaky clean it was. The bar was packed, but the space was just spotless and that carries over to the bathroom too! I'm not used to walking into such a packed bar and having it be so clean, especially the bathroom. We put in a pizza order and enjoyed a drink on the patio while we waited. Again, the patio was spotless, you could have eaten off the floor. And I did... because I dropped some popcorn. Their popcorn is delicious btw. Our drinks were great, generous pours and very tasty. The pizza was done pretty quickly considering the crowd. We took it home to eat it and it was very good. Mind you, I'm not a fan of crispy crust, it's just a preference thing. The crust was cracker thin and very crispy. Despite it not being my favorite type of pizza, I really enjoyed it. The toppings were very good and it definitely hit the spot. So pleasantly surprised by Hazelhurst. I wish I'd stopped in sooner! read more

Excellent food and service! Never a bad meal or attitude despite some rude customers from time to time.

Great stop for a drink after our bike ride. Great service with a smile and a great Bloody Mary!!

Stopped here on the way home from vacation. Was starving and looking for food so thought I'd give it a shot. I was not disappointed. It sounds weird to say but the soda was delicious... sometimes you get a fountain drink and it's like flavored water but not here. Also the Philly beef sandwich was amazing and of course cheese curds. Definitely making this a stop on future road trips. read more

Stopped by for dinner on Mother's Day, place not too busy at around 6pm, seated right away, placed order for bevenrages, service slow but eventually ordered dinner. I ordered cod sandwich, everyone else ordered burgers. Again, service was slow, waitress however friendly and personable. My sandwich came and was so overcooked that I had trouble chewing it, I do have all my teeth but this sandwich was pretty bad, due to long wait, I didn't say anything but did mention my meal was not good, waitress said, "oh, I'm sorry about that ".......OK, well, guess I'll never go back, the burgers were ok, the fries were very tasty, so maybe I should not have ordered the fish....hope the Friday fish fry isn't like the sandwich, anyway, just thought I'd comment on my experience..... read more
