$70 for one medium and one large pizza to go? And they charge a pick up fee? Never again

Best pizza in the area! We make an effort to try pizza at many recommended restaurants and find this to be outstanding.

Food is very good; pizza can be had as regular or gluten-free. Very good service and Northwoods atmosphere. Always enjoy ourselves.

Slow service. Sub par food. Wait for 1 hour to get cold food or not how you ordered it

Cool place to hangout when snowmobiling through the Northwoods. Cozy, owners are very accommodating and friendly. Good memories here.

We usually go for the thin crust but they do offer a deep dish and a Chicago style.

Reservations were at 6 and we were seated right away. Our waitress was promptly at our table and was excellent throughout. I wish I remembered her name. I ordered the Scallops Pernod which is an anise liqueur. It is made with coriander, star anise and mint so it does have an unusual taste but I've had it before but our waitress made sure I was aware of the flavor as she didn't want me to order something I wouldn't have liked. It was FANTASTIC! My mouth is watering think about it. There were plenty of good sized scallops with a Pernod and mushroom cream sauce over linguine. To die for! My friend had the walleye piccata and she said it was also fantastic. The restaurant itself is not terribly big so you could actually talk without yelling. It was decorated in the typical Northwoods style and was very comfortable. I would recommend Chef Rene's 100% although it is a little on the pricier side it is well worth it. Go there you won't be disappointed!

Some of the best steaks I've had were right here versus others within a 60 mile radius. This trip I had the lamb chops which were excellent. Also a double baked and we had escargot. I wish the location was was not connected to a hotel and was stand alone but I find this establishment to be in the top 3 in the North Woods

The staff was commutative and funny The food was delightful for the entire party. I mention this to give credit to the female bartender who was hustling her tail off. Once seated she came over and took our drink order. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I WILL SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THERE WAS NO DRINK MENU. Our gin and tonic, brandy old fashioned, white Zinfandel, and Bloody Mary with a chaser came out extremely fast. A perch dinner, beer battered fish fry, chicken tender, and a classic burger were ordered. We waited about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. My 3 piece beer battered cod was flaky and not greasy. My husband's perch came with 2 large filets and he said he really liked it. Chicken tenders are chicken tenders and hard to mess up haha. My dad said his burger was flavorful and juicy. For all 4 of us ordering food and having alcoholic beverages, our bill came to a little over $100. The bartender thanked us for our patience since she was the only person working, but we didn't feel we ever waited a long period for anything. Will definitely be back.
