A disappointing and, in my view, deceptive billing practice…read more Our bill had an unexplained "Advantage Program" charge of $2.53 added to it. Nothing about the words "Advantage Program" tells a customer that this is actually an additional 3% fee. Even more troubling, the 3% appears to have been calculated on the food, drinks AND sales tax. If a restaurant wants to charge customers an additional 3%, say so clearly and prominently. Call it a service fee, processing fee, or whatever it actually is. Don't bury it on the final bill under the friendly-sounding label "Advantage Program." The amount is small. That's not the point. Customers should know what they are being charged and why before the charge appears on their bill. And while we're talking about unexpected charges: $2.50 for a Diet Coke, plus another $2.00 charge for a Diet Coke, despite the receipt separately showing four "Soda Refill" entries at $0.00. If refills aren't actually free, that's fine--but again, just tell customers what they're paying for.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and accommodate both small and large groups. The well equipped bar also has some innovative cocktails (served with a signature steal spike) and large selection of beers. Our kids love it too because they have a great game area. I like their signature old fashion and Margherita, and I especially like their mint smash burger (no mint in it!) and various tacos, and they also serve a great fish fry. Make sure to grab a complimentary chocolate mint served as you exit the spotless bathrooms.

Seriously can't get the cherry chipotle bbq wings out of my head. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Then as we sat at a local dive, I stumbled on Finn & Feather and we left, drove 95mph and made it (with an hour and half to spare as they are on Central time!). I am so glad we made that move, drinks were great, food was AMAZING! Our exchange students tried the ELK steak my wife ordered for the first time (and first time for me as well) and it was simply perfection! My old fashioned was spot on. I'm a steak guy, my steak was the GUIDES cut (I was skeptical), but HOLY COW, what a piece of meat, cooked to my exact standards (my Dad was a butcher) and the piece was a very generous portion given the price after cooking even. Ok, so I would leave it there, but I can NOT, the deserts were home-made, the in-house cream alone was fabulous and the cake we had was out of this world. Our only minor complaint, the broccolini needs some seasoning, but overall it was so minor, we wouldn't worry too much about it. If you are up North, an even within an hour, make the trip to this amazing restaurant sitting buried right on the shores of Lake Gogebic. It was so good, we heard they were doing a lobster boil the next night, we booked reservations on the spot and came back the next night! Special shout-out to our waiter and the whole staff - it was the Labor Day weekend and they made us feel special, included and the food - oh the food - so good! Don't miss this special place on your next trip up north!

It was so good we went back the next night and sat outside with a great view of the lake and park. First night I had the veal hunter style and my girlfriend had the pistachio crusted salmon, both were delicious. Next night we had Perch cheeks which were awesome. Had a French Dip sandwich for my entree. Great food. We got to talking with Anthony about what a great job they have done creating something wonderful in that location. Not only was Anthony a great GM but everyone of the staff was smiling and very welcoming. Very pleased with the food, service, and Anthony's attitude and professionalism. Looking forward to many more excellent meals here in the future.

We were seated right away on the screened-in porch area which had a nice view of the lake and park. The service was good, but there was only 1 other table there, so I can't speak for what it's like when it's busy. A few things to note: The portions were very small considering the price. I had the blackened perch with rice pilaf - the taste was fine, but the portion size was very small. For $18, I got 3 small pieces of perch that were about 3 bites each. My mom had the sauteed scallops and a baked potato ($20). The scallops were pretty bland, seemed under cooked and were kind of warm, but not hot. We asked for them to be pan fried to heat them up and so they could cook a few minutes longer. The server took them back right away but they came back clearly microwaved. I by no means am cheap, and am more than willing to pay more for a nice meal, but for what we got and the price we paid, it wasn't worth it. NONE of the servers, the bartender, or bus boy were wearing masks. Also, the menu is all online, so make sure you take your phone. We won't be returning for a second try.
