I drove by this place dozens of times before deciding to try it. It's much nicer that expected of a "barn" restaurant. The dining room and bathrooms are clean and well kept. The service wasn't terribly quick, but I did come in right after a large group of senior hotties. Service was polite, smart and friendly. I had the 4pc wings with coleslaw and potatoe salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the wings were good sized (not like the BW3 disappointment wings). The breading was light and golden as advertised. The sides were excellent too. WAY too much sauce. pizza is chewed not drank. had to enjoy something that is spilling all over the place and is a soggy mess. figure out a method of measuring the proper amount of sauce and stop guessing. it makes for a bad experience and people won't come back. read more

I have been going here through 5 different owners and each one changed things a little bit each time. The newest owner has proven to me many times that he doesn't care about the customers (unless you are a family friend). They can't make a well done pizza and definitely can't cut it either. If you go in the evening after work service is worse. I will not be going back any more and CAN NOT recommend. read more

Haven't eaten here more than a couple of times but we've never had bad service or bad food! People working are friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is ok, it's definitely intended to be casual, bring kids/grandkids without a problem. Definitely need to return and try some different food on their menu! read more

We tried the Buckeye Barn out originally for pizza. When we got there, we separated into ordering different entrees. A) we didnt know, and it wasnt well signed, to order at the counter. So we sat and waited and eventually the manager came over and took our order. He then explained that people ordered at the counter. B)getting refills was slow. C) the kids ordered fried chicken, I ordered the Italian Sub, and my wife ordered the Loaded Potato Pizza app. D) the food was okay. The chicken was thoroughly cooked and hot. The Loaded Potato pizza had a lot of onion on it, and it overpowered the rest of the flavors. My "Italian" sub was sliced processed ham and another meat, marinara and cheese, heated. No lettuce or condiments. A large let down to be honest. The staff is nice, I just wife the food was a bit better quality. read more

Why would you cut a pizza into 30 tiny squares? If you have any sauce or toppings, you are going to need to wash your hands after eating. Huge fail. It also prevents you from getting the nice balance of crust and toppings. Pizza should be sliced into triangles, unless it's a party pizza. I would rate the crust quality as slightly above frozen pizza. Would not order again from here. Also dining room was closed an hour before advertised hours. read more

I was visiting for Thanksgiving and we got a pepperoni pizza and a sausage, green pepper, mushroom pizza. I wish there was more sausage since I am a meat guy. Have been there several times. Sometimes the service is good. Sometimes the service is lacking. I can say although descent flavors and tastes, but it is very obvious to the customer that you will receive the very bare minimum of what's required for any thing that's made there. My husband and I went to Buckeye Barn a couple years ago but stopped at the door because there was a rude sign in the window announcing the owner's politics. We don't like to ruin our meals with political angst, so we turned around and ate elsewhere. This past week we went again and the sign was gone, so we went in. We ordered a pizza, a sub and chicken. The chicken was good, crispy, the way we like it. The sub was way too salty and the bread was very soggy. The pizza was ok, but bland sauce, very skimpy toppings, little cheese and the crust was almost raw. I like a little garlic and oregano in the sauce. The prices were about average for the area. It's like other family restaurants in the area, midwestern food that's meant to fill you up without being nutritious or delicious. We won't be in a hurry to go back, but if it's the only place available, we'd eat there. The good thing about it is that the dining room was nearly empty when we were there, so it wasn't noisy. read more

Ok, I have not been here in years even though I live close by. I had heard it recently had changed owners and had received some coupons in the mail for their chicken. I love good chicken so decided to try it. First of all, they had pretty much gutted and redid the whole interior and it looked MUCH better!! I peeked into the restaurant side and loved the Ohio State decor. It wasn't in your face OSU but tastfully done. I ordered chicken, potato wedges, and coleslaw from a very friendly lady. I then proceeded to look around while the hot stuff was made fresh on the spot (nice!!). They have a wide selection of wines, beer, alcohol, snacks and even have a deli! In the deli case and saw a to die for rich looking Buckeye pie...had to get that of course! Ok...in short, the chicken was tasty and juicy, coleslaw sweet like I like, yummy potato wedges ( came with sour cream too), and the Buckeye pie??? OMG!!! So good! I will be back. Period. read more
