Ok, we order here for our weekly pizza and wings or meatball sub. If you ask for your food done a certain way they do it. Now they might take an hour or two, but ya know what.. it's worth it!! Their wings take a good 45 because they bake them. Mmmm again worth it! read more

This place is a joke. Employees can drink while on the clock and even when they are just a patron at the moment they think they run the roost. Don't bother using your credit card either, if you go you may want to use cash because they will illegally charge you double/put a tip on your card without your permission. This is a hard review to write. Everything we tried food and drink was excellent. Frosted mugs with Yuengling draft and both sandwiches were great. We will definitely have food from there again. With that being said, the wait for food was SOOOOOOOO long. Over a hour. The restaurant was not that busy. Call in orders are going to be the way to go for the future. read more

We went to the Boone Saloon in Springfield yesterday (Saturday) for dinner and drinks. Early March. Cold and raining. There were three of us. It was the first time we had ever visited. We arrived at 5:15 PM. There were a couple of people at the bar. No one else was eating. The menu is pretty sparse... primarily pizza, burgers, and salads. We ordered chicken wings, two salads, and some pretzel bites. We placed our ordered at 5:20. (And you have to place your order at the bar.) Our food arrived at 6:34. And again, the place wasn't busy at all. As far as I could tell, we were the only ones eating in. (About 15 minutes after we arrived a group of people came in to eat. They were told it would be a 1.5 hour wait for their food. They got up and left.) This place has a serious bottleneck problem in the kitchen. I think I know why: they do a lot of pizza deliveries, and they do not prioritize the orders. If you order food for dining in, and there are six pizza delivery orders in front of you, you will be waiting a very long time for your food. This is a really dumb policy. As any (other) restaurant will tell you, in-house orders should always take priority over takeout orders. I now understand why we were the only people eating in... over the years, people have learned it takes forever to get your food when dining in, so they don't do it. And not to sound like a beer snob, but their beer selection is very poor. The "best" beer they had was Yuengling. The jukebox was WAY too loud. To be fair, there were some good things about the place. My son and I played pool, and the pool tables were nice. It was clean and didn't smell musty. The prices are very reasonable. The wait staff was very friendly. Will be going back? I don't know. If we do, I am going to call ahead and place the food order so it's ready when we arrive. read more

The drinks were good but food and service was slow! The poor barmaid had to do everything herself. There were customers handing out menus to others. Waiting for food for over an hour would have been fine if the food was superb however, food was just ok. Will give another shot and hopefully it will get better. Hopefully this was just because of worker shortage. read more

The only thing I know about this place is the beer is cold and the pizza is great. Thin crust . I get a pepperoni and love it.

Speciality pizza is worth the price. Really enjoy the crust. They deliver. Staff really likes to know their customers and care. Seating is little akward would move pool table near dart board. Drink specials are nice. read more

The new staff that recently took over the place is very rude and disrespectful. My neighbors family owned it for years and it was run amazingly and great customer service. These new people are very rude. I just called 4 times to order one thing. The first two times I called they stated they couldn't hear me to order, the third time I politely told the lady to move because my phone was brand new and I could barely hear here because of the noise in the background. She refused and hung up on me. I tried to call back 3 more times, and the phone rang and rang until I got the voicemail. So my boyfriend had to call and order my meal for me. I would have just called somewhere else but no place near me makes the kind of sub I want. When they brought my pizza the guy said he didn't feel like using the credit card reader and wanted to call in my order. Being all the scammers out there memorizing card numbers, I politely told him no that was unexpectable and he finally agreed to use the machine. This is very poor and disrespectful service read more
