I read somewhere that when you are asked to do that in the drive through line, it sort of "resets" the time it takes the staff to fulfil an order, making it appear to management that the customers are being served more quickly than they really are. I don't know if this is true or not. When we finally got our pizzas, I double checked the order, and we were missing the 2 brownies my husband ordered.
