I got 2 meals out of it too. The stuffed crust was very tasty, and the counter service was friendly. There were a few younger guys working there. They gave me 2 pizza sauce cups for dipping for free! Note: if you try to eat clean and avoid inflammatory seed oils, tell them "no oil" when they finish/box up your pizza. There's a big bottle of canola/soybean oil sitting there and they were about to squirt some on my pizza. I only go for real butter. They also add this parm/garlic sprinkle which was pretty good.

I ordered double cheese, and they definitely understood the assignment. They were incredibly generous without it feeling overdone. The thin crust was good, but next time I'll order it a little crispier. I was a little nervous to select the "burn the pizza" option when ordering--I wasn't quite brave enough--but now I think I'll give it a shot! The tossed salad was fresh, crisp, and huge. It was easily enough for two or even three people to share. I also had the mushroom steak sandwich, and it was a pleasant surprise. It wasn't the usual smushed, greasy mess you sometimes get with steak sandwiches. The ingredients tasted fresh, and it was flavorful without being heavy. My only disappointment was that they were out of their fudge. I was really looking forward to trying it! Thankfully, the cashier kindly substituted cookies instead, and they were a tasty consolation prize. With so many neighborhood pizza places to choose from, I'm happy I finally gave Pappa's Pizza Palace a chance. It definitely earned a spot on my list, and I'll be back--with enough courage to click that "burn the pizza" button next time!

It was super busy when we arrived, so we had to wait a bit before snagging a table, but it was absolutely worth it. The service was impeccable--our server was incredibly friendly, kind, and accommodating. The food came out fresh, hot, and so flavorful. Everything was delicious! We started with chicken wings, then enjoyed chicken tenders and a Hawaiian pizza. One of our friends ordered the bacon pizza and practically gobbled it up--it was that good. I highly recommend this beautiful little spot. Bentino's is definitely a place we'll be returning to!

While the knots were decent enough, the marinara sauce was not, as it had a slight metallic taste. My husband had a salad (which was cold and crisp) and a deluxe pizza with jalapeños on it. While he did like the flavor of the pizza, the crust was soggy and not worth the price. My daughter tried the small Greek pizza and said it was very flavorful but the crust was also soggy in the middle. My son and I both ordered small pizzas as well, and while the flavor was good, the center was just too soft. Overall, the quaint atmosphere and exceptional service just aren't enough to make up for the food that is overly priced and only so-so.

If I could, I'd give them ten stars…read more My family and I were recently passing through Fairborn for a family event that we needed catering for and reached out to Veronas to help. Having never been there we just relied on the small amount of yelp reviews and our phone call to the business - which the business owner leaving us feeling very confident in our order and in our decision to go with this place without having tried their food. We were not disappointed. I am unsure why there aren't more yelp reviews here, this place is great. I want everyone to try them. Service is simply impeccable and the family owned business and passion is demonstrated in everything from the ordering process to the actual quality of the food. Now, getting to the food, the portions are quite hearty, food is priced incredibly well. We ordered two types of pasta - the baked ziti and the chicken Alfredo. Both were incredibly fresh and delicious. We ate our leftovers for days and the quality was still great, food still tasted fresh. We got salad and that was just filled with fresh ingredients, it's very rare for a salad to pull you in, but this one just looked so good you had to have some. They gave plenty of dressing too. My last comment is just for the garlic knots. Left us completely speechless.....they were the star of the show. Just absolutely so good, you know they can't be that good if you're trying to keep a diet, but you can't help but want more. This place is not far out of Dayton, I want everyone to know about it! We had a great experience and I wish we lived closer so we could have some more garlic knots more often!!

When they closed, I was thrilled to hear they reopened in Fairborn, especially since it's right where I live. The first time I tried the Fairborn location, it was everything I remembered and loved. Unfortunately, the quality and flavor have slowly gone downhill since then. It just doesn't have that same authentic taste that made me fall in love with Verona's in the first place, which is disappointing because there aren't many great New York-style pizza options in the Dayton area. I really hope they bring back that original consistency and attention to detail, because when Verona's is at its best, it's unbeatable.
