This is one of my favorite local restaurants in the area! This is single handedly the BEST hummus I have ever had!!! I thought maybe the first time was just a "lucky day," but every single time we get the hummus it is 10/10! If you have any leftover hummus at the end of your dinner, get a to go box and dip your veggies in it at home! You will be disappointed!!!! I've tried the mixed shawarma plate and then gyro entree. Both are great! The Greek salad is delicious and the rice is also good! I cannot recommend this restaurant high enough!!! read more

Interestingly, the baba ganoush and vegetarian grape leaves were excellent, but the hommos was bitter and not very good. I ordered the vegetarian bowl and with the exception of the hommos, it was very good. I'd order from this restaurant again! read more

I have had the chicken Shawarma sandwich a dozen times and the taste is so good. I love this place. I wish the atmosphere inside restaurant was more warm and comfy so we usually do take out. The sides are fantastic here too! Definitely recommend! read more

Door dashed a new spot and I was blown away. I always add a side of tazeki when I order a platter like this because I like to dip the grape leaf rolls, falafel, etc. BUT this already came with a delicious side of creamy tahini, the smoothest hummus and smoky babaganoush. Lots of fresh pita was also included. Totally worth the price. read more

First timer. Definitely worth it if you like shawarma! Food/Drink: Entrees were amazing, everything tasted fantastic. Hummus was great, falafel was perfectly cooked, and the spicy chicken shawarma....mmm! Bread and Apps: The pita was nice and warm, super airy. Nice pocket for goodies to slide into. Dinning Area: Pretty large, and open. Prices: Relatively cheap. Small appetizer plate, entree, and a drink I got away for $25. Parking: Plenty of space, shared lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere: During the weekday Dinner rush, pretty busy, but not unmanageable. Sat almost immediately. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was Great, women at the front took calls, brought out food, sat the patrons, got drinks, and cleared tables. Without missing a beat still a smile on her face. Awesome experience, I will be back! 10/10 read more

The lamb chops are delicious. This is one of my favorite restaurants for Mediterranean foods.

Nice open dining space. Clean bathrooms and clean dining area! Everything was fresh and clearly made with care, love, culture and experience! The young lady who was serving myself and a few other tables did not skip a beat. She knows how to hostess, service and clean every table that visited this fine establishment. The food: fresh, flavorful, delicious! Everything was made fresh and just as expected! I've had the stuffed grape leaves from many restaurants, but Mr. shawarma has the recipe in the bag, if you're looking to fall in love with a new food with a brine, savory, chewy textured variety. My company and I got the baba ghanouj, humus, stuffed grapes leaves, rice and the chicken/beef shawarma combo. Impeccable. If you're looking for light and flavorful, this is the spot. Note: same owners different restaurant name!!! If you're used to this place called "yaffa" please note; ITS THE SAME AMAZING PEOPLE WITH THE SAME AMAZING RECIPES... they just changed the name of their establishment. :) read more

I enjoyed the veggie platter at Mr. Shawarma & Grill--fresh, zesty tabbouleh, smoky baba ganoush, nutty hummus, rich dolma, and chewy falafel were all standouts. I have always loved the variety of textures in Mediterranean cuisine. While decent, the mixed beef and chicken shawarma could have been more moist and flavorful. But you'll get a great value here. The ambiance is fast-casual, perfect for a quick meal. The service was pleasant and impressively quick for walk-in takeout, which I really appreciated. read more

Great service! Food was fresh and savory. Suggestion's were made that did not disappoint. A+

Strange place. I didn't actually see the name "Yaffa" on the exterior. I just saw a Shawarma grill but it's definitely the same place. So let me stay right off that if ambience is super important to you, this place will not have it. There's no other way to say it but it's a bit rough on the edges. Part of the restaurant has a bare-bones sort of vibe to it. However, its clean. they have a few booths and tables We went on a cool day, and for some reason the restaurant was freezing cold. We decided to try the buffet for no particular reason, other than to try different dishes. Selection of dishes was on the small side, but they had the most important dishes. We liked all the dishes. I found the Arab salad particularly tasty. Since we did, the buffet service really wasn't part of the equation, but we were greeted nicely served our drinks quickly. read more

I saw the menu online. Drove 20-30 minutes out of my way in the rain only to find out they had taken all of the items I had planned to order off the menu. Then there was the funky smell. I hate to criticize without being able to actually taste the food. But I was disappointed about the menu and then the smell sealed the deal for me. read more

This place is amazing!! Everything was bursting with flavor!! My absolute favorite was the Baba Ghanouj! It's very fresh and traditional!! Out of the mixed shawarma the beef shawarma was definitely my favorite!! The service was excellent and very quick!! I will 100% be back if I ever visit this small town again because this place is a hidden gem!! read more

This place was fairly empty when we showed up, however we were greeted and advised we could sit anywhere we would like. They were not busy but it was after 2. The young lady who waited on us was very good and attentive. She explained many of the items on the menu to my daughter. We decided on a mixed grill Shawarma which was pretty amazing. The meat and the chicken were both tender and seasoned wonderfully. The hummus had a nice flavor with a little bit of the cake with the peppers in the pita provided was nice and thick not just a floppy pita out of the bag. My daughter also ordered a gyro which the lamb was OK but the beef Shawarma was much better. Next time I think she'll go with the Shawarma beef but of course the lamb was also pretty good. The baklava was probably the best baklava I've had before. It was not overly sweet and had a nice flavor. The rice was also nicely seasoned. The amount of food we were served was impressive. The gyro was a generous amount of meat and defiantly worth the price. We both are for about $30 with dessert and a plate of hummus, and have left overs we will enjoy. read more

Mr. Shawarma & Grill - Mixed grill . Amazing !! - Mediterranean Near Me - Fairborn, Ohio

If you like Mediterranean food, you'll love this place! Food is served on styrofoam but that doesn't matter to me, I'm after the flavor. We started with the yogurt salad. Cucumber in a yogurt sauce with maybe a little lemon and mint. It disappeared quickly for a reason... Then we had the chicken shawerma sandwich. A wonderfully delicious wrap of tastebud heaven. It didn't last long either. I'd give a higher score here except the portion size was a bit small for the price. In spite of that, I would recommend this place! The flavors superb and are a BIG plus! read more

Yaffa has the best chicken schwarma sandwich in the area, and the food is a fair value too. Service can be slow at times (doordash seems to keep them very busy) so budget your time accordingly. Their hummus is nice and their falafel is excellent. The market next door is a great way to find uncommon ingredients and unusual treats but don't expect many bargains. read more

What a let down! I was looking for a Mediterranean place that served kibbeh, it was hard to find, I finally found this one. I ordered 3sets (6) with tahini sauce and hot sauce. When the order came and I opened it, these were nothing more than store bought ones that come six in a box! S*** I could have bought those! Worse they fried them so much they were as hard as a rock! I won't eventry their other foods if they can't even get that right! So disappointed! read more

Ok this was for dinner and suspect the four stars are for lunch ... in a word awful. Chicken shawarma was dry bits of something close to sawdust. I asked what the favorite was and this was the recommendation. What? The salad bar was picked over dregs, the hummus and baba ganoush were specs in the corners. Didn't want the Turkish salad since the handle was encrusted with food. Yummy. But the service was bad too. Unfortunately Yelp does not allow negative five star rating so its a one star. read more

As I waited forever for my takeout I was sincerely impressed at how busy the place was despite how dirty the floors were. Just looking around at the place I was already drafting a 1-star review in my mind. Then came the food. Portions are absurdly large and everything tasted pretty good. If you can completely overlook the aesthetics of the place its a 4/5. read more

We just had a rough weekend of eating fast food due to travel and moving, and Mediterranean food always makes me feel better if I can't have a homecooked meal. My husband said he'd been here last year for their buffet, so we tried it together. I loved it. The meat was tasty, the rice was tasty, the veggies were great. The pita was just okay, but I think it hardens a bit when it's sitting out for the buffet, so that's just the nature of it. The falafel was also not the fluffiest or biggest, but I'm not sure if that's just the nature of the buffet as well. They also had this soup out that they labeled "chicken shish soup." We shared a bowl of it and it was....SO. GOOD. I make a big deal out of what they named it because I definitely tried to google a recipe online and it does NOT exist lol. At least, not very easily. The soup that day was more reminiscent to me of a Vietnamese coconut curry that I love back home, so I was super interested in how that combination showed up in a Mediterranean place. I asked the lady who both cashiers/buses and she said they do tend to mix it up back in the kitchen, so it probably is just something they create on their own (and she is also a little put out that even she doesn't know what's in it! lol). Anyway, this place will be a regular for us while we are living up here. We're looking forward to their coffee and I'm looking forward to just ordering a sandwich every once in a while. read more

Pretty good! The prices are a bit steep for Mediterranean food compared to other places I've seen but still good! I had the falafel sandwich which was filled with falafel (Barely any lettuce / tomato). The falafel was soft and not as crispy as I expected but still good! The fries were average. I'm curious to see what the buffet is like and will likely return to try it! read more

My last deployment, the best local food was shawarma. I really enjoyed this version of it. Would recommend as a to go option!

Excellent Mediterranean food. I've been here twice now while on business trips in the area. The lunch buffet had a great selection - the chicken shawarma, hummus and falafel was great. I've also been there for dinner, busy both times but service was great. There is also a small market/store right next door. I will be back! read more

This little restaurant is located in a strip mall in front of the Holiday Inn and across the street from Wright State University. There was plenty of parking and had easy access from both sides, meaning the Holiday Inn or the Colonel Glenn Highway side. There was also plenty of seating inside, it was comfortable, and clean. Our waitress was a lively character! She seated us promptly and did a very good job of taking care of our needs. Another positive was that she made excellent suggestions based on our preferences. She is the reason that this review gets a four and not a three. This is the first time we've had Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food on a buffet (I would like to note that we are not usually buffet fans) and the food was average if not just below. I would like to note that the hummus, Turkish coffee, and lamb were pretty good and a tabouli wasn't bad either. All the rest was just OK. If we were in that area again, we would probably give Yaffa another chance. read more

The grilled chicken fajitas was good. The gyro was good. The plate of fries was large and tasty.

Whenever I'm in the mood for good Middle Eastern food, I always stop by Yaffa Grill in Beavercreek/Fairborn. The service is excellent, the food is always delicious and perfectly seasoned, ample indoor seating, as well as ample parking outside. Located across the street from Wright State University on Colonel Glenn Highway, You can't miss this place. Although I go back-and-forth between the grilled chicken and shawarma, I always make sure to get an appetizer of baba ghanouj and pita bread. I've been coming here for years, and I will continue to revisit. read more

If you are looking for quite possibly some of the best hummus you'll ever try, check out Yaffa Grill. I came in for dinner one evening with my family and we tried a bunch of different menu items and were pleased with everything. The service was also fabulous. We had to wait a while for the food to come out, but I know that was because it is all made fresh to order. Our waitress was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the veggie plate, it was a little smaller than it looked in the photos, but it was so tasty. I tried to eat as slowly as I could to savor every bite! My favorite thing was the hummus though. Others at my table tried some of the kabobs and shawarma. I saw that they have a lunch buffet during the week days. I would really like to try it, if I lived in town! This place is definitely worth trying. read more

I've been to the Mediterranean and to some of America's best restaurants for this region's food. This little place is as good as anything I've had.
