Well after reading all the reviews I see we are not alone. My husband has probably 15 pieces of clothing from BM. The tshirts look so great until they don't. Which is pretty soon after. Somehow they wear and tear way more easily than any other T-shirt. Holes and stretch out on every single T. I mentioned it to an employee at the Pac Palisades store and he said "I've never heard that before" and then I read all the reviews stating exactly what we have experienced!! If you order add two sizes to what you normally wear. I bought 4 Large T-shirts and a Long sleeve. I'm only 5'7" approx 180 ish mix of muscle and a few extra lbs but not overweight. I washed the shirts after I received them and they shrunk.. A LOT! They collars already looked old once they came out of the dryer and the material already started to look worn. I tried them on before the wash and they fit fine...now they are so tight that I will have to give them to a "Smaller" person. MAybe my 11-year-old son. Seriously I have bought the Target brand T's and they fit and wash much better than these. either save some $$ and buy T's from Target 8.99 or spend a little more and grab some from Nordstroms. read more

Wandered into the Abbott Kinney location about a year ago. Picked up a t-shirt that quickly became my go to for traveling as I like to be as comfortable as possible on planes and in airports. A few months back I decided to try their website. Not a fan of online shopping but I needed to give some of their other products a go. Ordered a sweater, henley and a couple tees that are all great quality. Needed to return a t-shirt as it fit differently than others (I believe this was due to the material.) I had questions about the fits and was emailed back almost immediately. Since then I have had several other experiences with their customer service and they get it right every time. read more

I usually write about my dining experiences but I was so impressed with this company that I had to yelp about this place. I had read about Buck Mason in the NY Times and Entrepreneur Magazine. They are a newer business specializing in American made casual men's clothing. They have different package sets of clothing you can purchase or you can buy individual shirts and pants that they call "singles". I bought both. I bought the Dylan package for my husband because his clothes were getting kind of bad, actually very bad, and he really hates shopping. I spoke with a woman on their 800 number and she helped me with the sizing. My husband is over 6' tall" so buying clothing for him that fits right is usually a challenge. I have never seen him look sexier in any other jeans than these Buck Mason Jeans. These are not like the cheap denim like some of the other trendy places that I will not name, but a real hardy fabric. I got the regular fit for him. I also just love the feeling of their super soft tee shirts. I later ended up ordering the Henley long sleeve for myself because I love the feeling of their cotton. (I'm so excited to be able to purchase clothing actually made in the US.) Five stars to you Buck Mason for ease of ordering, fast shipping (one of the shirts was backordered but I was told about that during the ordering process), great customer service and making clothes locally. read more

I want to say with both confidence and conviction that the clothing made by Buck Mason is the absolute best that can be offered at any price. I realize there are some bad reviews. However, at the risk of pissing those reviewers off, their comments make absolutely no sense. They must not know how to care for the garments, not gauge how they fit, or are reckless with comments. I forgot to leave a review! However, Buck Mason is the best. I had a work retreat in Venice and decided to visit the store. I had great customer service (forgot the names but it was a female and a male working at the time) they offered me water or whiskey is which is really cool. Answered a few of my questions regarding the denim and t-shirts. I ended up buying a pair of Jeans and two t-shirts. Awesome store and love the simplicity of offering great quality clothing. Truly the worst product I have ever purchased. I am stupid enough to have bought 5 t-shirts from them and within 1st wear I am now using 3 of these t-shirts in my garage to clean my lawn mowers (the 2 that survived in my collection are a white one and black one which are hard to stain but I am expecting it could happen any time). They stained within the first wear. Never, ever again will I purchase something from this pathetic organization. They are all marketing and zero substance. BEWARE that their face masks are coated in a chemical agent which you will be inhaling into your lungs at close range. We didn't realize this and used them for a few weeks and now I'm concerned about the types of particles my children and I have inhaled into our lungs and bodies. I ordered masks from Buck Mason as they have been listed in several prominent articles. I ordered on 4/4/20 and expected to have to wait 3-4 weeks as stated in my email. Received an email that they would ship on 4/24/20. I understand needing to ramp up production so I was fine with that. When they didn't ship then, I sent an email inquiring and they said they missed a delivery and would ship no later then 5/1/20. Also, they stated I would receive tracking. I did receive a tracking number on 5/1/20, but it never left their warehouse. I sent an email the following week and they didn't respond until 5/8/20 stating that USPS tracking is bad and blamed them. I then got confirmation from USPS that they received package on 5/8. Appears to me they printed shipping labels so it would look like they honored their shipping promise, but still didn't ship for a week. It feels like when a waiter/waitress messes up the order and blames the kitchen. I would have appreciated honesty more. Received today and they are not great quality. Each one fits differently. Would not recommend this company or these masks. I appreciate what they are trying to do with matching the masks, but not worth it. read more

Love fit and material, however, washed 3 brand new white shirts with a supposedly pre-washed green, turning all the nice whites into an ugly grey. Will have to purchase all new whites. This isn't something I would usually do, however, they are blatantly advertised as pre-washed. read more

Although Buck Mason's t-shirts fit quite well, they stain far too easily to be worth $32. I first bought three of their pima cotton t-shirts, but after washing them, they all came out with multiple stains (even though none of them were stained before I put them in the washer). After buying and trying a multitude of stain removers, I was still unable to remove the stains. Don't believe GQ's hype and buy your t-shirts elsewhere. read more

I bought around 6 tshirts, 1 military overshirt and 1 LS henley from them online and love every single one! In addition to the sizing chart they show the models size and that really helped. I usually pay between $20-30 for a good quality tee at Nordstroms or REI, so their price point and made in America makes it a great deal. I'm disappointed to see so many negative reviews from those who expect BM to have overhead like big companies that have overseas (cheap labor) 24/7 customer service. I've messaged them on FB a few times and have always heard back within a few hours. BM is a small business and they're putting every dollar back into the US economy. If you like their products for the design and quality or just want to support "Made in American" then don't expect them to have inventory and cash floating around like Nordstroms. Buck Mason is a great brand. I use them from time to time when shopping online. Their clothes are very stylish and they use great materials. However they only cater to men and their products are way overpriced. Their main downfall though is that they use UPS for shipping and it takes 7 days for your order to arrive unless you want to pay significantly more money for faster shipment. read more

Recommend by a friend for new jeans. Both their yelp and google profiles say they open at 11am Sunday so I get there at 1105 ready to buy the first pair of jeans I like but they are closed. I call their number and the message says they open at noon on Sundays. So I go waste an hour on Abbot Kinney and come back at 1215. Still closed. I don't live super close so now 2 hours of my Sunday are wasted. Can't be that hard to have the correct hours listed or open when you are supposed to. read more

I just got a couple of t-shirts as a gift. One slub, one pima cotton. Both curved hem. They definitely fit smaller than any XL shirt i've ever had before which is kinda strange, and for all the hype and marketing there is just nothing special going on here in terms of quality? T-shirts that sell for this much shouldn't have issues with the seams popping up at the edge of the shoulders, but these both do. I get the feeling this is a company that would rather focus on being defensive and not really facing the fact the have quality control issues, rather than trying to just improve their products, so maybe better to just avoid them. read more

great Pima Cotton t shirts! I have been searching for a great pima cotton t shirt and this is the best one i found. You can bu a dozen- they wash well in cold water and hang dry. Have plenty of their stuff already (t-shirts, henleys, belts & my new favorite, the olive military overshirt). Love the quality of their clothes and the prices are reasonable for the quality, but was always afraid to buy their jeans without trying them on. Was excited to stop in, and so glad I did. The assistance and service provided by Tracy was first class. She was so well versed on all of the products and especially helpful in selecting the right jeans. Ended up buying a pair of the Lou Slim Fit and one of the restocked raglans. read more

I own about 30 pieces from Buck Mason, and I must say that I'm pretty disappointed with the quality. The slub cotton tees are amazing for the first month and then after a few times through the wash they shrink in length and in the arms (I lay them flat or hang them to dry), the fabric becomes brittle, and they lose their elasticity. For a $30 T-shirt this seems a little unreasonable. The cut and fit of their tees is wonderful... until it begins to not-so-gracefully age. Also, half of my Buck Mason shirts have developed small holes around the area where the fabric of the shirt hits my belt buckle, and my belt is a normal belt from J. Crew. I also own several of their thermals and their slub cotton long sleeve shirts. The cuffs on the long sleeves stretch and tear over time, also losing their shape in the sleeves and body of the garment - this also seems a little unreasonable for a $70 long sleeve shirt. I was a big evangelist for Buck Mason at the start, but I'm sad to say I must discourage people from wasting their money unless they want to invest in a disposable wardrobe that must be replaced every 3-6 months. Their employees are fantastic and the location in Venice is great, but if they don't improve their quality to match their several competitors who are also making quality hand-made cotton goods in Downtown L.A., then they are going to start losing all of the customers they've acquired over the past 12-18 months when they start realizing that their wardrobe is less than what they've been promised. read more
