Decent Boba place. They have some some unique flavor combos and the decor is fun. The staff is also very friendly. I wouldn't trust the rating below with the one star. This is a new shop with a young staff, so mistakes are bound to happen at first. Plus it's not that big of a deal that they don't carry caffeine free tea. There's not going to be a large demand for it. Why would you come to drink tea and expect no caffeine? I had no problem with the service and everything tasted great. I'm writing this review right now cause I have concern for the safety of the employees working especially during this time with the coronavirus. I saw that people were still sitting and waiting and making in store transactions. And the employees I've seen are young teens without any protection. Perhaps the owners don't care enough for the safety of there employees I don't know but I just felt the need to voice my concern on behalf of these workers. read more

I love the Machacha and the Cali Girl with boba. Not a fan of popping boba (which are filled with different flavor ...ask them for a sample...and they pop in your mouth when you munch on them). Their boba is very soft and gummy (which I love it that way). The regular boba milk tea and the White Teas are great. Their small is a Mini (but it is big); the regular is like super big. read more

Love this place! Stopped in on the first day it opened to check it out and wasn't let down! Customer service is great- the cashier was very friendly and knew just how to help me. There are two sizes to choose from and the menu was easy to read. The drinks are absolutely delicious! If I could have one everyday, I would. I love this place. Every drink I've dried here is really delicious, but I am partial to the valentine (I think that's what it's called?) drink with rose and vanilla. This place is great. Their boba is always soft and tender. I always get the original (basic milk tea with honey boba) and it tastes really good. Pricing over here is decent too. For 2 fat cups, it was only 10 bucks! The cups are more than enough for me. I can't wait to explore other flavors too. It's a great spot, will definitely come again! read more

I usually get my boba at boba tea house by leelee supermaket. However, that place is out of my way and I live a lot closer to this one. It's a little pricey but I can understand that because of the area. Nothing is really cheap around Gilbert since it's now growing.. I like the fact that they have different flavored smoothies, and they dont just have tapioca pearls which is boba. They have different flavored jellys and poppers. I honestly get the jelly for my drinks. I usually get their King taro here or whatevers popular like ads on their stand. I'll try that and it's always good. Fat Straw is pretty amazing. For those saying that they wish there were decaf options, then you really don't know what boba is, majority of the time, it's made with black or dark tea (more so caffeinated). If you're worried about caffeine, then ask for white tea instead. If you've never had boba before, I would read up on it instead of diving right in, or if you're wanting to dive in prior to reading about it, give it a fair look. You can get free samples, you just have to ask. Cut the employees some slack. Have you ever worked in the food industry or retail? Sometimes it's going to be short staffed. Or there will be employees there that are on break. They have to work with what they have available to them at that time. I've gone into this place 3 times when they were incredibly busy and haven't had a problem yet. I will admit the menu is overwhelming, and it would be awesome if they had "take with you" menus of what they offer, it would make it easy to read, and you can sit at one of the tables while you decide on what you would like. :) Overall, this'll be my new boba spot to set up shop, it's nice to have this place here since this outdoor mall allows us Arizonians to bask in the Devil's armpit. read more

Seriously love this place. I've never had boba before and this looks less intimidating than other places because the cute and modern decor sucks you in. Once you order a fat or baby in an adorable large round cup with a large straw (ADORBS) you'll fall in love. Also -do not drink and drive. I can not multitask and drink this drink while driving. Cashier was very rude, impatient and gave a lot of attitude as my 10 year-old-child tried to order for herself. The tea itself was mid and the boba was not soft enough. Inside the tea shop it was crowded, and I felt my safety was at risk. Bummer :( I had passed by this place numerous times and there was always a long line so I never tried them but, today there wasn't that long line so I was excited to finally get to try it. Well my excitement was diminished after my first sip. This drink is in an odd shaped cup...a cup that you would typically find in a grocery store deli when you order a half pound or a whole pound of oh, say potato salad. So, you get this big ole see thru cup and you get a lot of flavor choices that all sound really good and then you get to add those little bobas if you'd like. Well, those little bobas that they called "organic honey bobas" I believe ...were tasteless . The hype is all the choices and the oddness of not seeing bobas at very many places around town but, honestly they are a waste of money! $6.00 for a big cup. Wasted $6.00. Makes me sad. This boba tea place is not a good one.. there are many other places that are way better and worth the $. Sorry but the good reviews on here for this place have to be from people that haven't ever had boba teas anywhere else before and are just enchanted at the odd difference in having a big cup with bobas showing .
