Stopped in yesterday and grabbed a Big Bang fat cup with Orange poppers. This is the best Boba shop I've ever been to, by far. I was not a boba fan before trying their bobas and have been nearly 20 times to this point. Well worth the effort to drive a distance to pick up. read more

It would be 4 but I caught them on a day they ran out of one of my favorite jellies which influenced my second option drink choice. It was cute and had decent seating and the drinks came out kinda slow but still dope. Would be down to give it another go next time I'm in the area read more

I came in and ordered one tea here. There were two other individuals in store. The shift lead Kaila was extremely rude and on her phone the whole entire time she took my order. Everyone pretty much left the new girl who was being trained to do everything herself while they giggled in the corner. One tea took 15 minutes. Worst experience here by far. read more

Really disappointed. I just moved to Gilbert from California and was on the hunt for a new boba go to place! This was not the one unfortunately ): Watered down tea and boba has the consistency of slime. I would not recommend. read more

This was a posh version of boba for me. The staff was very friendly and energetic. The store was crowded, but I got my drink quickly.

My family and I LOVE this place! My family loves the South Beach with mango jellies and I love the Enchanted Chai with light boba!

Tried it because I saw lots of people walking around outside the mall but I don't know what all the hype is about. They're not bad but they're not that great either and they are just too sweet to drink. read more

This place is truly, utterly disgusting. The employees are perfectly fine. Love them all. The "management" however, is awful. Almost like there isn't one. Do NOT recommend coming here, I would try out Boba Tea Company at Chandler Mall if I were you. read more

Soooo gooood! I totally love this place and it's my favorite bubble tea in all of Chandler/Tempe area. Our two favorites are the South Beach & Sweetheart. I prefer the Sweetheart since it comes over ice whereas South Beach comes blended with ice. However both flavors are really good, especially if you prefer cream with fruity flavors. The smaller size is big enough for one person, also works when you're sharing it. They have a lot of different flavor options which is great, and I'm sure the other flavors must be good as well. read more

We went to Fat Straw yesterday for the first time. I get that it was a Saturday, but there was straw wrappers everywhere and the ladies who were working looked absolutely miserable. It's super loud, so you practically have to yell your order. Our drink ended up being incredibly sweet and we should've subbed the strawberry poppers but the lady taking our order didn't answer that simple question. Overall, I don't really have a desire to go back. It wasn't busy at the time, so I don't understand the lack of customer service. Really bummed since it's in a convenient location for me. read more

Located on a corner near the Macy's. Store is busy but orders come out quickly. I ordered the Cali Girl which is strawberry and watermelon. It was delicious! read more

Terrible Service. They don't even pay attention to the order. They just wanted to get your money. Basically I forced the lady to make 3 times my drink because she did everything by the wrong way I asked to her . The manager or supervisor got really mad at me but I don't care because I paid for it . Girls if you don't like your job please quit and allow others people get a new job. To the owners, please pay attention to your camaras and you will see what kind of employees you have working for you . read more

So good I love this place. My favorite is the king taro with the traditional boba kind of taste like cereal milk. The berry bling bling is a close second. read more

Nerd Alert This Queen of SATs deserve a refreshing drink in this sweltering heat I ordered The Original- Honey Boba. It contains brown sugar, creamer, golden tea and of course- the chewy boba pearls. I really couldn't conceal my excitement when they had their limited edition thermal flask! Happy 3rd Anniversary @mybubblebeehive! -your loyal patron P.S. Please tell corporate not to discontinue the production of your flasks. I also think you should install pop up stalls and sell your eye-catching flasks in schools that hold Spelling bees? Who knows, maybe you guys could end up as one of the sponsors for The Scripps National Spelling? That's all. Thanks so much for hearing me out Have a great day! #mybubblebeehive #anniversary This is not a paid advertisement. read more

So I didn't think I could find a solid tea place in Arizona since I come from a city with lots of good tea cafes. However this place hit the spot. They have a large menu and many fruity drinks. I ordered the peach tea with lychee jelly. Drink wasn't overly sweet and the lychee jelly was fresh. I can definitely see this place packed during the summer. Give this place a try! read more

First off, I'm from California, so my boba standard is sort of obnoxious. As a Boba/bubble tea expert, I'm going to say that the boba here needs A LOT OF WORK. They claimed to have "honey boba". I thought it was more "soggy boba". Hopefully this will improve over time because they are still pretty new! Atmosphere: clean, hip, typical asian boba shop kinda feel. Good for social gatherings for small groups. Service: since they're so new, the servers seem like they are a little clueless about the menu. They do have a lot of people working at once, so your drinks will be made promptly. We came in with a pretty big group for 8-9 people and they handled that well! Drinks: you saw my rant above about their boba quality... Thai tea: YUM! they got this right! It was perfect 5/5 Matchacha: decent 3/5 Their original milk tea (i forgot the exact name) 1/5 it was way too sweet Overall, pretty pricy for mediocre quality boba, but I'll give them another try in the future and provide an update!!! I still have hope in Arizona's boba quality!!! read more

Horrible service way too long forgot to make my order then the girl used her bare hands to shake my drink then touched everything around her then went back to packing my snow called her out in it then they offer to remake it after I've already waited 20 minutes for them to fuck it up the first time. Fucking no morals in this company read more

Drinks have decent flavor but seriously what's up with the honey boba. It's simply undercooked and was too hard! It should have a soft pillowy chewy texture. Would be 4 stars if boba is better. read more

This place has terrible customer service I was just there with my son and we weren't even acknowledged after standing for 5-10 minutes with one other customer in the store we were never served. When new customers walked in they were welcomed and politely greeted immediately so we left and will not return. read more

We were so excited to see what this place was all about. Walking in, we were the only customers. We were treated very kindly but man alive, even my teen mentioned that the music volume was crazy loud. We kept having to lean forward to hear our cutie pie cashier. It would be great if the employees could explain the menu better than just tell us the #1 ordered drink name. We didn't even understand what the jelly bead things were all about and the concept in general. The workers should be energetically sharing everything, finding out flavors we prefer, and offering samples even. We didn't like that we couldn't get a decaf tea in our drinks. You'd think that would be an option. Another employee kindly came out and offered to use water instead of tea, which we went ahead to do but really, why not decaf teas? FYI-water vs tea still does taste "good" (go figure). As our drinks were being poured into the blender containers, a new customer walked in and instead of them just greeting her and finishing our drink, the mixer gal left that post and took the other customer's order even though there was an employee that was in the back that could have done so. I found that unprofessional that our drinks just stood there while the customer read over the board for awhile, asked questions, then they mixed hers before finishing up ours. Then, instead of our 2 drinks being done first, the gal behind us got hers. I questioned the apologetic employee about that as well. We received our two drinks however they were two totally different sizes. I pulled my receipt to show we paid for the same size. Yes, they fixed it but again we had to wait and this time the place was very busy. We walked out with three drinks in hand and guess what? Our replacement larger drink was still wrong. They forgot to just use water instead of tea! That totally changed up the flavor and is of huge concern since we do not use caffeinated drinks for health reasons. Needless to say, we didn't bother telling them of yet another mistake and just tossed it. We were disappointed in the drinks flavors we ordered overall. Honestly I think it's a texture thing for us. If you are a texture person, the bubbles/beads will probably mess with you too. Getting a Sonic drink, a Bahama Bucks, a smoothie, or whatever is a better and more economical choice for sure. Again, nice employees, way cool cups and straws, BUT more training on customer service, teaching how to educate the customers, turning down the music, and adding decaf selection) would be way better. read more

Can not get enough of Fat Straw!!! All the drinks are yummy! Janessa has been a rock star the last couple of visits taking our orders. All the staff is friendly. Make sure you find a drink you like. They are unique, and you have to find one you love. Have patience and visit a few times. I know that's hard for us Americans. read more

The smoothie was mediocre and the boba balls were old and hard and inedible. Glad they're still open, will try them again eventually and hopefully change my rating. This time it was not good. read more

Cynthia has a absolutely awful attitude for no reason. Who hires such bad customer service. I didn't catch the girl making the drinks name but we ordered two lathes (fat cups) and received one large and then one small. I let her know that the one that was small was also suppose to be large when she started arguing with me saying nope it wasn't. i showed her my receipt and THATS when she wanted to take a second look at her screen and was like ohhhh i read that wrong. Smh. Drinks are good, customer service of this place will run everyone out the door. read more

Just tried this place for the first time. We really liked it! They have a wide array of options with various teas, juices and smoothies they can combine them in almost any combination you like. They have amazing poppers, all kinds of flavored and cool jellies - even lychee! The girls working there when we visited today were very friendly and helpful. Gave us free samples of the jellies and poppers and made good suggestions. We can't wait to go back! Give it a try. Tasty and different! read more

I ordered the high thai with honey boba and it was ok. I wish I have ordered the other one though since the sampler that they gave us on the way out was really good. They said it was strawberry something...their boba was very chewy and delicious. The boba came out in the large wide cup which I did not like. I think it is their unique way, but i dont see the point of it. read more

Our new favorite treat. This place is awesome. Our favs so far are King Taro and Coco & Rose. What a tasty treat!!! Been there twice and will continue to return!!! Regarding the two-star review a couple below mine... The first time we were there we also thought the music was too loud, but today it was at a regular volume and we could easily carry on a conversation. It was a much better experience. read more

Some of the best boba tea I've had, including the places I've tried in California. I was a little skeptical about the honey boba at first, because I don't like it too sweet, but it ended up tasting like standard boba. I ordered the High Thai, which is basically chai milk tea with boba. I finished it way faster than I normally finish that much, and when it was gone I was sad I didn't have more! A word to people new in the area (like me): this place is in a walking mall. It's not the kind of place where you park out front and run in for some tea. Plan to park a little ways away and walk over to the place. Or you might plan to stop by during a day of shopping. I didn't realize it was in a mall and ended up driving around looking for the place for longer than I would have liked. Which isn't the actual establishment's fault but it is worthy of note for the review. read more

If they ever do get your order right then their drinks are amazing. Sadly it's uncommon that they get their drinks correct. I always order off their menu and never do any custom orders but they seem to have difficulty making their own drinks correctly. Once I got my tea with no boba inside. How did they forget the boba?! Another time they gave me just straight green tea when I order a Chai Tea.. you get the picture. read more

Loved it! Coming from the Bay Area where there are boba spots in every corner, we've missed having one close by. We frequent San Tan Village and stumbled upon this place by accident, just when we were bummed to find that our favorite shaved ice spot: Kealani, was no longer there. The ladies behind the counter were so enthusiastic and helpful and the drinks were perfectly refreshing for a typically hot, Arizona day. We tried the Glamorous, Cali Girl, The Original, and King Taro. Loved them all! Have already been back since our first visit and definitely will keep coming back :) read more

We go to this location 3 times a week and love it. But for the past 2 months 90 percent of the time they are out of honey boba... how is that possible and when we ask why they say they ran out and take too long to make more. I can understand if this happened 1 time or even 3 times. It's happens 7 times 7 times in the last month. Hope the owner reads this and does something about it. Thanks read more

This store has many unique features aside from that it isn't run/operated by Asians. I, myself, used to work in a boba store in NorCal so I could definitely appreciate the art of boba and smoothies! This place is unique because they offer 2 types of boba: white vanilla and honey black. I tried the white vanilla because I've never seen this boba anywhere else. It was really great, sweet and chewy. I tried the taro coconut blended drink, the strawberry tea over ice and the original. I didn't care for the taro too much because coconut cream's too sweet for me but the other two drinks were great. The smaller size (called baby fat) was too small for my taste but I thought the cup designs were awesome and they had really cool seals and straw covers. I love the name of this boba shop and am surprised, coming from San Jose (a place where there are more boba shops than Starbucks), that this name hasn't existed before. They advertise themselves as "Fat Straw: an edible drink." I've never heard boba pearl tea be referred to in this way before. read more

Great new find! Little over a month old and I can tell they will explode in customers. The quality of their drinks are definitely cali quality. Everything is all precisely measured to maintain top quality flavor and texture. They have a huge menu selection which can be a bit too much to look through if your new to the place, be sure to check out their Facebook page for a complete menu before. If you like vanilla bean and almond flavor I recommend the snow bowl. The honey boba was also perfect from start to finish of the drink; in other words they remained soft and chewy till the end. I've had drinks from other places where the boba would become really cold and hard towards the end. Man just writing this makes me crave to go and get a cup; it's too bad that it's nearly midnight as I type this, also the fact that it's quite a drive from chandler. Only issue I have really is the price over $5 for the largest size! Then again that's your typical price for a grande size of starbucks fraps so it balances out. The price inflation is real! I suppose it has to do with the whole minimum wage issue. Anyways, overall I will recommend this place! Hopefully they get those loyalty punch cards soon. I'm losing valuable stamps! read more

There are no good boba places around where I live and Fat Straw is the closest to me. I love their drinks ! Always refreshing and satisfies my craving when I want boba. It is a little pricey but everything in the Gilbert area is pricey. They offer a variety of flavors, jellies and boba. You can the drink over ice or blended . read more

Bought a groupon good for 4 visits at this location. Have since redeemed 3 out of 4 and today they are saying they won't let me use the last one per the instruction of their boss. They said it wasn't good for their location and won't accept them anymore even though my groupon clearly states the San Tan mall location. Pinned right in the map too! If it's been a problem, why don't they have groupon delete the deal?? They clearly have no customer service skills. read more

I am in love with this place. Drinks are so yummy!! SO, I'm really picky with boba joints but saw the ratings on this place it struck me to try. We had the coffee drinks. It usually comes with a mix of boba and coffee jelly but we opted for straight jelly. Perfect coffee flavor and sweetness. It's dessert in a cup and totally worth every penny. Service was fast and friendly. The place is so adorable as well. Love. Love. LOVE!! Will be back again soon. I hope they remain consistent to the first visit we had. Cute and delicious drinks. GO get one!! NOW! PS. This is not a drink to buy and get in the car to drive off to the sunset. The cups does not fit into a regular size cup holder. read more

I love coming here and it's usually a good experience, but this time was not the best. The girl working did not seem to be properly trained. She only blended the drink for a few seconds making the drink very runny and icy. The drink is Snow Bowl, which is a blended drink. There was ice chunks in this drink which made it very unpleasant to drink. I'm very disappointed :/ read more

YUM! Walked in out of curiosity and thank goodness I did. I am not going to lie, the menu was a bit overwhelming but I asked the cashier for an opinion and she was very helpful. I also mentioned my food allergies and she made some great suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend the Sparkling tea selection. The Desire rocked! I also liked that the cashiers remind u of the popper and jelly flavors that come with the tea you choose in case you wish to swap flavors. The staff was all very friendly too! We happened to go back to the shopping center the very next day and I had to make sure we stopped here again. Move over Starbucks, this is my new favorite spot! read more
