Great service and great food. Best fried pickles around, delicious boneless wings. I had unsweet mango tea and hot and spicy chicken sandwich. Portions were generous and flavor great. Have been here a couple of times before and had a great experience. Today however was one of the worst experiences ever. Walked in to be glared at by the hostess, who started the interaction with "Is it just 4 of you?" The girl that seated us with an infant never offered a high chair, but provided an extra adult place setting for my 11 month old grandson. Server was pleasant and friendly (That is the 1 star) but the pizza was burnt, fries and burgers were luke warm at best and had obviously been resting for a while. The bacon guac burger had no guac. Complete miss on the meal. The manager was understanding but aloof, she didn't seem concerned about the service. Actually acted like she just wanted us to correct the issue (she honestly asked if we just wanted her to bring us some guac to put on the burger or if I wanted her to have the kitchen do it.) Always have a great experience at Bubba's, so when family came in from out of town, we decided Bubba's was a good place to take them. Unfortunately, like most places in Waco, customer service since the pandemic has been garbage. We had to ask and remind our server Hannah for things throughout our experience. When she forgot condiments after the 4th request, we found two bartenders standing around and asked them. As for the food, the fries were cold, sandwich bread was hard, and pasta was salty. Wow. Bubbas is so far my go-to restaurant in Waco (only been to Waco once). Walked in at 11:03 pm and they let me sit myself at the bar and still served food! If that isn't southern hospitality to the marrow then you can call me a chicken tender salad. Which is fire by the way. The bathrooms are not the greatest but everything else slaps. Portions are generous, have outlets at the bar, and great prices. Will be back. read more

I cannot recall a burger that was better than this one, so this has to be the best for me in recent memory. It was a spicy habanero burger minus the fried jalapeño cream cheese. I normally add mustard and ketchup, but this was so good, I wasn't able to stop long enough to add it. The patty and the peppers on it were pure perfection. The fries were just thick enough and crispy enough, but not too crispy. The waitress, Arianna was very attentive and pleasant. The manager came by to tend to us and gave us a very unexpected and nice surprise because our food came out a little late. I will return ASAP! I highly recommmend the people and the burger/fries! (Plus the side salad). The coke was good as well! Please do not change anything about that spicy habanero burger or fries (except maybe making the cream cheese optional, because I have no idea how good it tastes with it, and probably won't try it with it added because it was already perfect read more

These establishment was in the parking lot by our hotel so it was an easy stroll over to eat. The draft beer was served in ice cold glasses that had ice floating in them. Food is much better than average. Their black bean burger is especially good. It is one of the better vegetarian burgers in town. The only major issue is that they have TVs throughout the place and the volume is super loud. So loud that you can barely hear anyone at your table speak. We came here around 930 on Saturday night, so the place wasn't overly crowded. They have a ton of TVs so it would be a great place to catch a game. Our server was super friendly and helpful. She took our drink orders and made some menu suggestions. She was really great about making sure we had refills and anything else we needed while we were there. We ordered pizza and wings. They have gluten free pizza crust (they say gluten friendly because it's cooked in the same oven as the other pizzas), so cautious if you have Celiacs or are sensitive to cross contamination. But if you are okay with this, it's probably the best GF crust I have ever had! Which still leaves me feeling like maybe it wasn't GF! Highly recommend! My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday night. It wasn't very busy so we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, the booth we were seated at was dirty and the menus were greasy to the touch. There are a lot of good options here if you're craving American comfort food: pizza, burgers, wings, and a few fancier dishes like ribeye and salmon. I ordered the sunshine burger and the boyfriend got 20 boneless wings: 10 hot and 10 garlic parm. The burger was on the saltier/greasier side. I got my burger with a side of loaded up fries, which basically entailed some hardened cheese and bacon bits. I picked up one fry and up came all of the cheese. Definitely a sad day since cheese fries I didn't really care for the garlic parm wings even though the boyfriend said that they "weren't bad for a place that doesn't exclusively sell wings" (think Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings).
