We love Bubba's Bar-B-Que... Whenever we stay in Cody we eat here. The portions you get are Big and you always leave with food leftover. The Menu is reasonably priced too with many items and also has a kids menu. read more

We ate here while passing through from Yellowstone to Sheridan, WY and we were pleased! The portions were huge, they had a really decent salad bar, and the prices were very reasonable for a touristy town like Cody. And we had the corn nuggets as an appetizer and they were delicious! Better beer than you'd expect in this big, popular, working class, midwest meathouse. Better meat than most of them offer, too. Sides were decent except for the midwest's obligatory white balloon bread (aka garlic bread in this case) and some soggy corn on the cob that had been kept warm too long. We loved it. Very good BBQ, we had brisket, ribs, and the Flat Iron steak. All were excellent. Don't listen to the BBQ "snobs" complaining. We stopped at Bubbas on our way into Yellowstone with my family and had a great experience! The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. Our meals consisted of the Pulled pork, a half slab of ribs, beef brisket and a BBQ quesadilla. Everything was very good...if I had to make any suggestions it would be for the quesadilla and maybe not put so much BBQ sauce in it instead the smoked chicken or pork on the inside for the smoke flavor and a cup of BBQ on the side for dipping. When I first started this it was one star because the waitress was horrible needs to seriously quit this job and try something else, but theirs no denying the food was good! Passing through town and asked the motel staff for a good place to eat. They recommended Bubba's. I'm glad they did. This is real BBQ. Had the spare ribs and you could see the smoke deep into each rib. Just a bit of sauce. Perfect. Will be stopping by again on my way back east. read more

Garlic bread was good and the kids kind of liked the pulled pork, but they felt the pork should have been marinated in the sauce not just on the side. The ribs were big enough but fatty and slightly under cooked. The staff wasn't on the ball either. I really expected more in Wyoming. We have better BBQ in Michigan. Took the guys out for Fathers Day at this fun place. Great bbq and lots of choices. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and made the evening lots of fun. We stop here a couple of times when we visit Cody. Today we stopped for lunch knowing it would e a wait due to it being Father's day.We had a party of seven but only waiting approx 30 minutes to be seated. Drinks and food ordered was placed and delivered at a reasonable time considering the full restaurant. Everyone's meal came out hot and correct even though we had a variety of meals ordered. BLTs, chicken strips for kids, chili, corn dog, and smoked sausage. First time I've had their smoked sausage with sides of baked beans and potato salad. Good sized portion for lunch. Bubba's offers two sauces, one is a slightly sweet sauce which is on the table nut the heated sauce served with the sausage was more of a smokey flavor and went well with the sausage. Think I'll ask for this sauce when we return and I order other meats. Bubba's has been a mainstay in Cody and we always enjoy our meals when we visit. read more

Not Bad. Pretty good BBQ chicken (1/2 chicken a bit on the smaller side). The girls had burgers They seemed happy with them. The server forgot to bring our salad bar plates till after our meal arrived. My wife declined her salad, I ate mine while my meal got cold. Salad bar gets an A plus. Stopped for a take-out lunch and had a pulled pork and a brisket sandwich. Each came with a side. My husband chose the cole slaw and said it was very good. I had the homemade Bubba Chips which were scrumptious. The meat on both the sandwiches was tender and plentiful..full of great smoked flavor and super sauce on the side. Can't comment on service as we took out, but our food came out very fast and the hostess who took our order was pleasant and helpful. We are here for dinner one night before heading to Yellowstone. I think the air was broken or just not on, but it was almost July and quite warm- much warmer inside than even outdoors. Besides that, we had plenty of food. It filled us up and everyone enjoyed what they had. They never brought our appetizer out, but we still left full. Made the mistake of eating breakfast here based on fond memories of the place. They no longer make their own bacon in their smokehouse like they used to. When you pay $18 for breakfast (what was k thinking?) you expect the food to be awesome. Speaking of food, my order was bland. Good thing there was salt and pepper on the table because it clearly was not used while the food was being cooked. Some of my bacon was burnt and the eggs I ordered were not cooked the way I asked. Their idea of jelly / jam is little packets of smuckers brand full of high fructose corn syrup. Did I mention the flies? No? Or the waitress that only refilled the coffee once and ignored us? Or, if you're still reading this thinking you want to risk your life eating their breakfast, the fact that the booths and every surface is sticky? When did they clean last? I read a bunch of reviews here before going and was prepared to be disappointed as a few others had been. First of all, their menu explicitly addresses several of the largest complaints other readers had here. They do not guarantee steaks cooked above medium (weird but it is there), and their cooking process leads much of the meat to be pinker than you're used to (which is obvious to anyone who enjoys smoked meats). My boyfriend and I shared the Big Combo and ended up with leftovers for a second evening's dinner. The spare ribs were larger than expected, the pulled pork was delicious, the chicken was pinkish but thoroughly smoky and perfect, and the brisket was my personal favorite: thick cut and nearly melting in your mouth. Their sauce was good, but it did seem different from what was on the table as someone else mentioned. My boyfriend enjoyed the baked beans, and I had a side salad that was good, but I don't really expect it to blow my mind. I didn't see anyone looking disappointed or complaining while there, so I have to assume that the truly bad experiences are few. Prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food we got. The food was not good at all. I had the brisket and my wife the pulled pork. Neither had any flavor at all. I'm pretty sure the brisket was a pot roast being passed off as brisket. The smell nearly knocks you over when you open the door to this place. You know that you are about to get blown away. I had the half rack of ribs. They were about the best I have ever had! They were cooked and sauced perfectly. I enjoyed corn on the cob as a side along with a dish of marvelous potato salad. My wife had the brisket sandwich and said that it was also wonderful.
